Always happy with Hill's Science Diet. Switched because now meeting the needs of just one dog, as we lost our yellow lab girl right before Christmas. What I have to say I love about this product is the velcro bag closure. It's so easy to open and close.

I feed this to my 10 year old Pomeranian, and he loves it (he loves all food, to be fair lol). I started feeding him this diet after we transitioned off Hill's weight loss diet (he's a chunker and gains weight easily). Unfortunately, feeding him the recommended amount has actually caused him to gain weight rather than keep him at his ideal weight as listed on the feeding chart (which may just be a problem individual to him)! I've cut his food down a bit to see if that will solve the problem and help him lose weight again, but he's hungry all the time now, so I'm considering switching back to the weight management food. This food has done wonders for our 12 year old Shi-tzu. Before this we were using another brand that she had done well with for over a decade. But last year we noticed her white fur was turning red (yeast), and she was scooting her bottom more. Finally, after a terrible incident, the doctor said that she needed a different food that was designed for her age, etc. He suggested Hill's Science diet as one of the top 5 brands on his list. By chance, it was the one we could get delivered right away and luckily she enjoyed eating it and had no digestive issues. She has been eating this since August and we're happy to say that she's acting 5 years younger! My dog has been on Hill's Science Diet since she was a puppy. Now at 13 years old, she continues to love gobbling up the kibble. One thing that I would like comment about this actually does not have anything to do with the product itself but more of shipping company (FedEx) issue. For two consecutive orders with Chewy, FedEx managed to mix up my package with someone else's package that is a few roads away within the same subdivision.
It's been about 16 months since we switched our sweet dog onto this food after a shocking routine vet visit showed the beginning stages of kidney disease. We spoke to the vet after multiple tests and she said we didn't have to change foods and could wait until it progressed further. However, after doing a lot of research on pet food in general and the fact she was just turning 7 at the time, we decided to be a little proactive. Get her on a little lower protein food with less phosphorus than the one she was previously eating. This was the best food option available out there. We got the vets approval and slowly switched over.Fast forward nearly 14 months and the vet is very pleased and shocked. Our sweet dog's levels have completely stabilized. With the little weight gain, she actually looks a little bit better and is still very fit and active. Her coat looks amazing, she gobbles down her food with vigor and you'd never know that she was in stage 2 of kidney disease. We take each day as a blessing. She's already made it past the average expectancy after diagnosis. The vet said that this food was a great move and we are truly grateful it exists. She's our best friend and Hill's has given us the gift of time.
I got my dog the small bag just to try it and it turned out he loves it. So I got this 15lb for autoship. What I love the most is the small bite size kibbles that are perfect for my dog and it is not too hard for him to chew. It must taste good too. My dog loves it and his poop is healthy with this dog food too. What I like is the seal for this bag. For other dog food I need to put them in a jar but this one you can just seal it. Even the ants can't get in. I highly recommend it to people.
At the advice of our veterinarian, we purchased Hill's Senior Diet food for our "elderly" dog. She loves it and gobbles it down like she hasn't eaten in a long time. I have started giving it to our younger "senior" dog as well, and she too loves it. Chewy is the only way to order our dogs' needs. Chewy is the absolute best company to do business with, and I always recommend Chewy to family and friends.
At the age of nine, my little terrier was showing signs of needing a food more appropriate to her age. When I called Chewy to change my upcoming order, the contact person to whom I spoke was pleasant and efficient. The food arrived exactly when I'd requested (I had changed the delivery date as well as the food), safe and dry. Rowan loves it. Well done, Chewy!
I switched to this food per my vet. It’s really helped my old lady teddy bear. However, I hate this price increase. I thought it went up and looked back. I used to get the biggest bag for 57 before the auto ship discount. Now it’s 70! My golden retriever’s (RIP) food was 49.98 for the biggest bag and now it’s 65! That’s a lot of money. I want the best for my pets. But it’s a recession….. I don’t want to switch foods in. Order to be able to afford to feed my pets. No wonder shelters are going up it’s bad enough my groceries cost so high. Companies should be ashamed.
first of all, kudos to the person that helped me on the phone. she must have gone thru the entire inventory to find the food that my dog needed. low protein, concentrated calories and nutrition, easy to eat and digest. this food has it all. my 17 yr young shitzu has put on 2lbs,plays like a puppy, and eats it enthusiaticly. yes i definately recommend.
