- Canon PowerShot G7 x Mark II Camera

I have been working on creating quality Aesthetic videos. I am not a professional but I love making videos and taking pictures. So I decided to invest in the camera. I think it is super easy to use but also gives me the feel of a more professional camera versus just using my iPhone. The video quality is amazing. I can’t wait to capture all the memorable moments. Looking forward to learning more about the different settings and features it comes with. The thing I also love about it is the perfect size . I bought this cute case for it and I carry it everywhere with me. The only thing I recommend is to buy an extra battery for when you are on the go.

I got it as a birthday present and I'm very happy with it and you can take superb pictures. Have also tested the time-lapse and all the function of it and I am very well pleased. In relation to the price and age of the product (which is now 6 yrs on me since I got it), I am very satisfied. Suits well for someone who is not very interested in being a "professional photographer", but who still wants to take slightly better pictures than what the mobile phone allows. Easy to use for beginners and advanced users especially if you are a youtuber or simply a photo enthusiast. It feels solid and heavy in the hand but doesn't bother me, and good quality. Love that it's touch screen and you can angle the screen, and flip it up.

I adore this powerful little thing. Not typically a point and shoot gal. I love my dslr and my prime lenses, but this little baby is my new precious for vacations when I don’t want to lug around my huge kit. Aka, international travel with only a carry on. This camera takes STUNNING photos, and the videos are clear and focused. The only downside is the sound. The mic is fuzzy and doesn’t collect sound well, and there is no mic jack to try and improve this function unless you upgrade to the next model. So unless you are looking specifically for vlogging purposes, this is a fantastic travel camera. Just voice over your videos later in a video editing program.

Amazing camera bundle!

This camera is great. Yes, it's a bit of an older model but, the thing is that the picture quality is still fantastic and I love the fact that I can make adjustments to some things like brightness/shutter while also using some of the auto settings. I am not a photographer by profession but do need to take pics and video on a regular basis for my business, and this makes that a lot easier. G7X Canon Camera

Amazing product! I’ve have had it for 2years now and it’s still in great condition. The quality of video and pictures taken with this camera is perfect for a beginners camera.I like how clear the video and pictures are when played back. The sound quality is also very clear and easy to detect voices. I use this camera to vlog and film my YouTube videos.I also like the screen camera tilt. You can flip it up and out. It makes filming easier when you are shooting in an awkward angle so the tilt of the camera screen helps you navigate where to center your shot.However, one thing that I dislike is the camera focus. Great camera for in-between DSLR and cell phones

This was purchased as a gift for my fiance, who regularly takes pictures of sailboats around the golden hour and wanted a camera with good color reproduction, decent zoom, and portability. This G7 checks most of those boxes well. The color is really lovely - vibrant, but not overly saturated; no adjustments needed whatsoever compared to my own Nikon DSLR which can be a bit flat at times. The zoom is more than adequate and it produces very little blurring/distortion; at max zoom using the combined digital + optical there's a noticeable amount, but it's not horrendous. Daylight it performs fantastic, and its autofocus is vastly superior to my aging DSLR, and is on par with modern phone cameras though perhaps the tiniest bit slower than the iPhone 13 Pro we compared it to. In low light (full moon and abundant street lights) it does well - focus is still good, there's a bit of noise as you would expect with it automatically increasing the ISO, but nothing unwarranted. In super low light it does poorly on auto mode and struggles to focus even with its autofocus lamp. However, the manual mode offered is powerful for a point-and-shoot, and you can get a solid 30 exposure of a nearly pitch black area pretty decently - the weakest point is the focusing in such dark settings.The was only one downside that actually bothered my fiance was that they found the camera to be a bit girthy compared to their last point-and-shoot, which was so petite it easily slid into the pocket of a pair of jeans. This camera can't slip into a pant pocket very easily in our experience (unless you have spacious Carhartts on) but it can fit in most jacket pockets. The trade-off, however, is the G7's optical zoom is so much greater than the older camera, and ultimately they begrudgingly accepted the reduced pocketability.TL;DR If you're looking for a camera that's very portable and lighter weight than most DSLRS, and is significantly more powerful than many cell phone cameras, I'd certainly say you've found it here in the G7. If you wanted to take some experimental long exposure night photography with tack sharp focus, macro shots, or work from a mile away birding, I'd probably recommend going up to a DSLR so you can specialize with your lens preferences to suit your needs. Great compact camera.

I have the G5X so I was already very familiar with the G series cameras. While I very much like the viewfinder on the G5X, it makes the camera much more bulky to carry. The G7X MkII does not have the viewfinder making the body much more sleek and easier to carry in a pocket. It's still a fairly good chunk of a camera, but far less so than a DSLR but with close to the same image quality due to the 1 inch sensor in the G series bodies. I also like the G bodies because they have the ability to shoot in RAW mode, which gives far higher quality than the typical JPEG. The fast lens makes dim light photos much easier to take. My only very mild gripe is the design of the articulating monitor. Perfect not-DSLR for DSLR users

I got it at Best Buy a few years ago (I needed something like it on relatively short notice, sorry b&h!) and it's one of my favorite cameras. My other camera is a canon 6D, which is excellent, but it's not what I want to carry with me when I'm going to be out and about for a long time. This one basically takes all the most useful facilities of a DSLR and puts them into as small a form factor as possible.The lens is fast, and the built in profile seems very effective at ironing out geometric distortion (I haven't noticed any.) I love the focal length coverage, especially the 24mm-equivalent wide. I really like that it shoots in raw, can reach high ISOs, and maintains great dynamic range and color. I use it on manual, with the front ring set to aperture and the rear ring set to shutter speed, with auto ISO on. The physical exposure comp dial is something every canon camera should have (why doesn't my 6D have this?) because with that combination of settings, I can always have a proper exposure, with full uninterrupted control over all exposure settings, with pseudo ISO control via the dial. It's perfect.The built in AF beam is helpful, I've never shot with it off but autofocus has generally not been fussy, even in the dark. I've never used the flash, but it's nice that it's there. Battery life isn't bad from a full charge, though it's good to bring a power bank just in case. I like that it can charge via microusb, though I don't like that it can't charge and shoot at the same time.In terms of usability, its very small size and quick startup makes it great to pull out and start shooting at any time. There's something less assuming about a camera this size that makes it less distracting to subjects in candid situations, which is the sort of setting you'll probably be using it in most. People notice a big camera with a big lens and a huge front element, they don't notice this.Canon was very deliberate in making this a great camera for an advanced user, and I think any prosumer or professional would really enjoy using it.Overall, I love this camera's usability and the pictures I take with it. I'd sooner buy another than a mirrorless with a similar footprint, because a mirrorless doesn't collapse into a tidy rectangle.

Very quality photos

Last year, I completed 50 years of motorsports action photography in 13 US states & 2 Canadian provinces. I have the big DSLR's and now a 2 year old R6 mirrorless. I have always had a Canon digital pocket size Point & Shoot since 2006, being 3 models but 6 of them. When the S120 got 'foreign material' inside the lens (just like the other 2 previous models), I chose the replacement to be the G7 X M2. I love its size, to fit into a shirt pocket, its rugged case, it does a really good job of auto focus, on "Auto" shooting mode (which I rarely use on my 'big' cameras) producing almost always absolutely wonderful high quality photos. My 2 'big' camera's do "action" photos but they also can do the same "still" photos as the G7 but the size of the 'big' camera body with a big lens is just absolutely heavy and awkward to 'shoot' the same subject as I use the G7 for, with each camera producing the same photo quality. G7 is just such a handy size producing quality photos but its downsize is the subject need to be very nearby, as there is not much zoom in the lens, unlike my 3 other cameras, which includes a Canon SX540HS which is a very handy travel camera with a rather amazing short to long range zoom lens that produces a lot of nice photos, too. All 4 of my cameras have specific 'subjects' that they shoot. I am still 100% Canon equipment, now in its 18th year.
