I recommend the Bell Tent Plus. It is a bit more expensive but worth it. I ordered the 4m 285gm polycotton. It went up fairly easily. It took 2 people about 30 minutes but it was our first time. I really like the straps instead of the guy lines. The Tent is much more compact. Only about 50cm away from the walls instead of 1 - 1.5 m.The quality of the fabric and the seams are good. It was quite hot when we put it up...about 32°...so it was very hot and stuffy under the canvas while putting it up. But once up, with the windows and door opened, it soon regulated to a decent temperature. Everyone loves our tent. I highly recommend the and the company.

Fantastic tent. Lots of space inside, very airy and it stays reasonably cool in strong sunlight. It also stays quite warm at night if you take it camping in October. It's very well made and looks stunning, especially at dusk. The ability to zip out the sides is great if you want to use it as a living space during the day. The pegs are very large and with the webbing attachments it is very solid and gives the impression that it would withstand serious weather easily although we haven't tried this yet.It is quite heavy and takes up a lot of space in the car. Also, although it is quick and easy to get up, making it look good can take a lot of fiddling.

Really lovely bell tent, we love the design and the fact it has all the in built fly screens. The finished set up looks great and it's nice not having loads of guys ropes everywhere - the star shape looks great and is functional.Feels very sturdy, hopefully it will last!Only thing I would add is the instructions needed a little bit of deciphering, been written by someone who's put up a million bell tents. So recommend the first time you erect is somewhere it doesn't matter (ie. not on holiday!). Allow a little more time the first time, and I'm certain it will be easier next time I erect it.

I recently took the plunge and bought the 5m Star Bell tent. Despite being my first bell tent I decided having read the 5 star reviews it was worth spending the extra this tent costs over a standard 5m. I have to say I'm very pleased I did!I have so far only had time to put the tent up in my garden to waterproof it, but it is an awesome piece of kit. The tent goes up very quickly and down even faster. The only faff being the awning and doorway poles, but I'm sure those will become quicker with practise. It is also a fantastic large door that you don't need to bend down to get through and so worth the extra 5 minutes. The awning and integrated guy ropes are brilliant pieces of design allowing for shoes etc to be left outside and give the tent a real wow factor in ... MoreI recently took the plunge and bought the 5m Star Bell tent. I debated whether I needed a 4 or 5m for our family if 4, but really glad I went for the 5. I'm sure we would be fine in a 4m for short trips, but the extra space will allow greater ability to go for longer trips where living and storage space is required. The quality of the tent is great, with well treated canvas (water just rolls off it); really sturdy zips, pegs and seams etc; combined with nice touches like the purple carabeeners and guy ropes. In short if you can afford the little bit extra, you won't be disappointed. Can't wait for it's first trip over the May bank holiday.

I liked this style of tent it was easy to erect and take down though i did have my grandchildren to help me. It is very heavy and you would need a trolley. 4m tent is ideal for a garden party and looks good without lots of hazardous ropes etc. It proved to be waterproof and windproof. Someone pointed out that the stitching was messy and stringy in some places, not sure if this is usual for a bell tent as i am not a camping person but was a disappointing thing. Good delivery and packaging. All in all it was a good purchase suitable for my needs .

I had been thinking about a bell tent for about 18 months but was reluctant as not able to see one in real life - the pictures on the sites always show a double bed, low tables and lots of soft furnishings. Always seemed set up for glamping sites not real people taking what they can shoe horn into a car and what they need to. I know the websites give a guide to sizing but didn’t quite trust that they wouldn’t be trying to ram as many people in them as possible. Also the information I had read about cotton canvas suggested I would need to set up the tent in a rain storm to allow it to get wet, dry out to ensure it was properly waterproof. I don’t have a garden big enough to do that and didn’t want to go camping, get wet, leak and then be happy that my tent was ... MoreI had been thinking about a bell tent for about 18 months but was reluctant as not able to see one in real life - the pictures on the sites always show a double bed, low tables and lots of soft furnishings. I don’t have a garden big enough to do that and didn’t want to go camping, get wet, leak and then be happy that my tent was finally waterproof.Anyway, took the plunge and bought the 5m star bell tent - Love it!We have the inner tent and that takes up just over half the space - have done a separate review for that. The space we had left over still allowed enough room for 3 camp chairs, a table, fridge and a couple of storage boxes and allow 2 adults and a teenager to sit in it without feeling we were like sardines. The canopy was great for sitting out as it allows a feeling of shelter and provides a little more privacy for the door way.The star tent’s over hang also allowed a low portable low bbq to be stored when cold under it and not get wet in the rain storms we had.Speaking of which - needn’t have worried about the waterproofing. We had a lot of rain and no leaks. It also survived a couple of very windy nights without losing shape.Had worried about being a bit pretentious with a bell tent. That’s not a problem either. Even took solar lights for the canopy on the second trip. I’m working my way up to adding the bunting.I should also be on commission for sales as we had a few people come up to ask about the tent as they said they have been wondering about buying them. Showed them the inside. The instructions for putting the tent up could be a little clearer but watch a video on putting up a bell tent before you go. The problem was with the order of putting in the pole for the canopy and the frame for the door. That said it was easy enough. Never liked putting our old traditional tent up - too many poles to thread through the material and the adjusting the ropes etc. A bell tent is really easy - lay it out, secure the ground sheet, stick the main pole in and peg out the sides.Allowing for the fact that is is always really difficult to get things back in a bag once you’ve taken them out this tent bag is fab and enough room to allow for a bit of bad packing. It is heavy though - husband can carry it alone whereas I would struggle and that is with the poles being in a separate bag.Like the idea of coir mats for inside and may explore that but the groundsheet is very sturdy and washable.Sorry - having made the comment about pictures and real people, I didn’t take any pictures of our tent to add here.

I thought my camping days were over because I no longer enjoyed sleeping in our backpacking tent. When I gave myself permission to buy a larger tent and then found this company, camping became alive for me again!I purchased the 4m Star Oxford tent and have turned it into a Unicorn Glamping tent. While it is the perfect size for me and my hubby for car camping, it was a bit smaller than I had visualized. It holds a double bed and a table with 2 chairs with ease, but not a lot of space to share with others. At first I was excited about the multi-colored tent, but chose the sandstone and I am soooo happy I did. It is so calming and bright in there. And with a lantern on the pole, we were able to play cards at night with ease. Right now I have it set up on our property and I love being able to go in there to just BE, listen to the rain, have my coaching phone calls, and even spend the night out there. It's become another special place for our retreat space.I don't want to take it down! But I will because I am also really excited to take it camping to Mt. Shasta, a Hula Hooping retreat, and the Fairy Congress this summer!Having this tent makes everything more magical!

Love my new tent. Easy to assemble for novice camper with very clear instructions. Can be done single handed though it's quite heavy. Looked great and feels so roomy inside. Have only used for one night so far but already planning some longer trips.

Absolutely in love with our bell tent. First time putting it up was relatively easy and we are confident we will get quicker each time. The tent itself is great quality. Thick heavy canvas and super strong in the wind.It is very heavy to handle but we were expecting that for the size of the bell tent and the material its made from. The fact that you can have the mosquito mesh all the way around is ingenious and our tent was much the envy of other campers on our site who were stuck in their nylon and polyester tents - we were away during the recent heatwave and they were telling us that they were sweltering whilst we were pretty chilled and cool in the bell tent. The tent is so spacious and airy. As soon as we took this tent out of the bag we knew it would be fantastic quality. The first thing you notice is the quality of the material used. The groundsheet is super strong and the zips are chunky and durable. The pegs included had no problems in the hard ground, not a single one bent. The pegs are so strong my mallet broke hammering them into the ground.Putting the tent up is so easy. You simply peg the bottom of the tent out, push the poles into position and peg out the guy ropes. Takes me 10/15 mins by myself. Of course taking it down is even quicker, it’s just the same process but backwards. It’s also relatively stress free to get back into the bag as straps are included. We read on Boutique Camping’s website and in the tents instructions that these tents can leak a little the first time they get wet. Which made us a little nervous on our first trip as heavy rain was forecast the whole weekend. Shortly after pitching the torrential rain set in (and pretty much didn’t stop the whole trip), yet this tent did not leak a drip. The rain was repelled by the cotton fabric, rain droplets form on the fabric and just roll down to the floor.I went for this style of tent as my wife can feel claustrophobic in standard tunnel/dome tents. She felt at home and relaxed inside this tent as it’s so spacious and roomy inside. For the first time ever my wife is looking forward to our next camping trip.In conclusion, a very happy camper!
