A Great Upgrade from my 2018 iPad Pro.

I had a 2018 iPad Pro that had a cracked screen and it was due for a replacement. In the past, I've used my iPad as my go-to device when doing basic things - web browsing, news, email, weather, watching movies and streaming media. Very basic use case that is applicable to most consumers. Since my iPad was cracked, I went back to using my Macbook. I'm glad that I got my new iPad because I can put the Macbook away!Pros:1.) It does feel more responsive when multitasking. I've done split screen on the iPad with the browser, Notes, and Messenger. Given that it's an M4, it could probably be a mini-laptop when paired with the extremely expensive Magic Keyboard and a Pencil.2.) The screen is clearer, brighter, and sharper3.) The speakers sound a lot better (though I do tend to use Airpods most of the time).4.) The camera is fantastic and sharp. Granted, I use my iPhone 15 as my day-to-day camera, but I tested out the iPad camera and it puts out high quality pics.5.) The 5G is great especially on those long car rides, work commutes, or you don't have access to wifi. It's extremely fast, and I can't tell the difference whether I'm on 5G or on a wifi connection.Cons:1.) The camera used for FaceID or web-camming on the main screen is now on right-hand middle side of iPad as opposed to the top. I use FaceID all of the time when logging into sites and find that I'm blocking the cam because of the way that I hold the iPad on the sides in portrait mode (as one typically does). This means that you need to do Facetime with the iPad in landscape mode. This will take some adjusting to, but when I Facetime, I'm so used to holding my iPad in portrait mode.2.) Battery life doesn't feel like it lasts as long as I recall from my previous iPad. It could be a number of factors (running multiple apps, screen brightness, streaming, having WiFi, Cellular, Bluetoon on at the same time, etc.), but I don't use the iPad any differently than I did with my 2018 iPad. I recently used it on a 3h car ride intermittently on 5G on medium brightness setting doing web browsing, mail, and social media, and it burned through the battery life pretty quickly. I need to poke around some more, but I couldn't find an "Optimized Battery" setting on the iPad.Because of the latter two Cons, I'm giving it a 4, though I'd probably bump it up to a 4.5. Am I glad I got it? Yes. If you have a 2018 or older iPad, I definitely recommend upgrading.

I really love the new iPad Pro. It has a beautiful screen resolution and is slightly larger than a regular fourth generation iPad Pro. The size difference is only 1/10 of an inch but it is very noticeable when you look at the screen I welcome the extra real estate. Mine has nano texture glass on it. It is the one terabyte edition and it is simply amazing outside. I also love the color that I picked, which was SPACE black. I have this iPad on a three year contract and I plan on keeping this iPad for at least four years maybe five before I upgrade again I am very satisfied with the new Apple iPad Pro, in my opinion, it is the best tablet computer in the world . I highly recommend this iPad.

Of course over time I see them becoming closer to one another, but for now, it’s Oled that is still the gold standard. continues to push the boundaries in tablet innovation further every year, and is the envy of other manufacturers’ efforts; most competitors don’t even bother trying to compete in this space. Others may try to imitate it, but year over year, it is still the undisputed champion of touch panel tech. Unless you cannot wrap your head around using iOS over android for tablet applications, I highly recommend this product to anyone invested in the apple ecosystem or not. With an iron clad return policy, what do you have to lose?

Fantastic upgrade
20 May 2024

Bought this to replace my 2019 iPad Pro. 12.9" The old one looks and feels so outdated compared to my new 13" iPad Pro in black. The new one is lighter thinner but absolutely solid. The screen looks sharper and the colours are deeper, just absolutely brilliant. So easy to transfer the dated from my old one. I was a bit worried about it but, it only took a few minutes. Was quite surprised when it came up on screen after a short while - done!I purchased the new Apple case, expensive but complements my new iPad, also in black and is absolutely quality too.I have been buying Apple products from J Lewis for many years and I have never been disappointed yet!

Great iPad in all ways

This has to be the best iPad I have ever owned and I have owned iPads back to the original iPad. I love how thin and light this iPad is. I also love the screen. I can’t believe how sharp and clear the pictures and videos are on this. My last iPad was the 2021 iPad Pro 12.9 and I thought that was impressive, well it was. Until I got this thing in my hands. I haven’t looked back and said I made a mistake. One regret I did make was going with the 1 TB over going to the 512 GB. I went with the larger to get the upgraded memory and upgraded processor. Unfortunately it doesn’t seem to make a difference in all testing that I am seeing. And if it does make a difference it is so minimal that spending hundreds more for it is not worth it. But it is an investment in a device that I take everywhere and besides my iPhone it needs to be the best. I went with the 13” over the 11” because I like the extra screen. I do a lot of video editing and needed a bigger screen. If you go with this iPad , you won’t regret it. But go with a smaller size, unless you truthfully need it. Remember you can attach external hard drives to this iPad as well so you can expand the memory.

Incredibly Disappointing
3 June 2024

I upgraded to this from the 2021 version. I expected a better battery, didn’t get it. Expected to at least retain every feature my previous iPad had, definitely didn’t get it. Aside from the camera FINALLY being moved from the top to the side and the screen being almost as dark black as my OLED phone there is nothing better about this iPad. In fact you can use their own side by side comparison to see everything they have stripped away from the 2021 version and guess what, it costs $100 dollars more. This would only be a worthwhile upgrade for someone who still has the 2016 version of iPad Pro. This is evidence of what Apple really thinks about its customers and its extremely over exaggerated opinion of its self.

The M4 Apple iPad is so thin and light that it is even more a natural extension of the human hand than before. At first I was skeptical about Apple making the iPad even thinner when they could have upped the battery size, but now that I have used it handheld extensively, the new, skinnier iPad really makes a difference when I am holding it handheld, which is a lot. The new Magic Keyboard is great too, expecially the row of function keys at the top. They really make the keyboard much more of a laptop replacement than before. The larger, more professional trackpad helps here too. What doesn't make as much of a difference to me is the screen. I mean, it is amazing, but so was the old one, and side by side in a typical setting, I cannot tell the difference. Both excellent. The new Apple Pencil Pro is somewhat better for artists, or for those who use it a lot, but I don't think most people will notice much. I hope that Apple will take advantage of the speed of the new M4 processor, but so far, I cannot tell any difference between the M4 and my older iPad.

[Rewarded Review] Best iPad lightweight big difference for wrist fat
5 July 2024

This is a wonderful iPad. I have an iPad that's just a little over a year old. It was the last one they did in the 12.9 but the difference in the lightness which other people find negaable I find wonderful. My wrist would really get tired holding my old iPad which I kept as a back up but love this one because it is so light. It is also quite a bit easier to see outside and I am not a gamer, but I noticed it seems to work quite a bit faster, I highly recommend this new laptop. I did not get the Specialty screen because I didn't wanna have to worry about the thing to clean it with, but this screen is really great. I really really appreciate the lighter weight and how nice the screen is to look at

If you are ahopping for this, you are either a amaetuer to professional with a specific need, or you are a power user, or you simply want an OLED Ipad. Otherwise i think the speed difference between this and the M2 in the ipad air, the average user wont be able to tell the difference. Having said that, it very well is the best and most amazing Ipad yet. We are waiting what will WWDC bring to this ipad, with specific interest in AI. But with this amount of speed (you can find benchmarks online), everything is just incredible. Video editing, multitasking , gaming, is just buttery smooth. The nanotech screen does create a matte-like finish , so yes it does take a little away from the smooth ink blacks of OLED, but the ability to use my ipad in the sun is just amazing.. ... MoreIf you are ahopping for this, you are either a amaetuer to professional with a specific need, or you are a power user, or you simply want an OLED Ipad.
