I'm not a big drinker anymore and if I'm honest its been years since I've taken a sip. I'm not recovering or anything. I just had a really bad experience and night. One of those nights where you wake up and say I'm never drinking again, but worse. And I really never did.I had tried this back then. It wasn't my go to at parties but I was willing to try any. Its not super great for mixed drinks and it was very alcohol strong in taste, after taste and scent. It's definitely not for the faint at heart. It's also harder to stay about your wits or pace yourself and tequila in general usually causes a personality change whether that be good or bad more than most alcohols so you must be careful of that.Always drink in moderation. Try to find a way to make mixed drinks, add ice to water it down, etc. Its easier to drink that way anyway. It's not horrible at all if hard liquor is what you like but its just not my thing and I wouldn't ever say to anyone "yea this was easier to drink than most and goes down smooth." No. If I was going to do that it would be a much different liquor like jagermeister or even UV blue or red.

It was not as rough as I thought it would be actually smooth and better then most other tequilas I have tried.i like the bottle cus I save my empty bottles for my collection. All and all it's a decent drink that I will purchase again. It goes great in my Martini's with a lime and salt rim. It has a good bite but not to hard...I would recommend this over other brands it's a fine beverage. Graat for a drink after work or out at the bar all in all I give it a 7 out of 10 ratings good buy give it a try!!¡!

okay if anyone knows me the only thing I will drink constantly is this tequila in shots or a short glass and pineapple juice. as I really enjoy the flavouring and it so easy to send back heaps of it without feeling the urge to be sick. I defiantly will keep repurchasing this one and the one with the red hat as I feel like they are two of the best for me anyways

I use 1800 Reposado for my Margaritas. It gives them that smoky taste, without covering up the lime, Triple Sec, and mix flavors. Reposado tequilas are similar to single malt Scotch, because of the aging. Love both of them.
Mild Margaritas are made with silvers. The Resposado, however, produces a margarita the way it ought to be. Awesome. I've used 1800 for a long time. For the Best Margarita, go to 1800 Resposado.
First time trying this kind of tequila; I find it a little too smokey, but that's just a matter of taste. The combination of orange liquor and mixing was good. This is the smokiness you're looking for.
This brand is fantastic. I normally do not like celebrity tequilas because they, sometimes, are blends of lower quality tequilas. This is a Mexican brand that has history and time-honored traditions in the making of it. I prefer reposados for making high-end margaritas at home. I do not like Blanco (silver) tequilas. Occasionally, I will sip this brand neat, room temperature. I recommend this for the taste, quality, and price value.
This has a fascinating past. Prior to Cuervo Gold's aggressive marketing, 1800 was a mediocre, weak tequila that gained no brand awareness. Since it was displayed on the top shelf, people thought it was "high end." Of fact, it wasn't even "top shelf" tequila; it wasn't even real tequila. It wasn't entirely agave. Later, they made the decision to modify their recipe and create true tequila. Any 100% agave tequila is automatically superior to others that aren't, making this one a respectable tequila. But for the money, there are many better options.
Great to sip neat. the lime sours taste like they are already in there. The barrel qualities are wonderful. I would imagine there are better tequilas at higher prices but I have tried some more expensive ones and been disappointed. This one is an Overachiever for the price. 1800 Reposado is a buy again and again.
A mild Margarita is produced by the silvers. However, the Resposado serves Margaritas just as they should be. Awesome. For years, I've been using 1800. For the Perfect Margarita, nothing tops 1800 Resposado.
