Truth be told, I did sheep that ipad back home right after I bought it and used it daily before traveling home with it. What a delight that tablet is to use! Its screen is wonderful to view images, documents and the web. As I am a photographer the iPad is a powerful but small piece of configurable tech that can enhance your life. As Iām writing this review, Iām struggling with replacing my 12.9 inch iPad Pro with the smaller version. These tablets allow you to extend your laptopās desktop onto the iPad, listen to music, watch videos, have FaceTime meetings as well as video meetings on a variety of platforms including Zoom, Teams, etc. and even letās you control other computers! I may just purchase the 11 inch iPad Pro, M2 Silicon to replace my old 12.9 inch iPad, as the superior experience I have using the M1 Silicon tablet gives me a happy feeling as I think about all the great times I have had editing images with Adobe Lightroom, Creative Cloud, ON1, and others. Now that these devices use USB-C instead of lightning cables, they are easier for me to charge as I have charging setup for 14 inch Mackbook Pro M1, and can use the same charger/cable combo for both. I highly recommend you consider this āFabletā - Fabulous Tablet - for yourself so you can have the same enhanced user experience as I.

Let's be honest - the iPad Pro 11" hasn't really functionally changed since this design was introduced in 2018. Even the introduction of the M1 processor last year was kind of moot because, other than a very few professional edge cases, no one was sitting there waiting for things to get done with the previous CPUs. And in that context, the 2022 upgrade to the M2 is probably the least impactful improvement of all.Don't get me wrong - the iPad Pro is hands down the best all purpose tablet on the market. If nothing but the best will do - look no further. I got the 2022 model because my 2018 iPad Pro broke (I sat on it - oops), and with store credit and a discount and the free AppleCare through TotalTech - it was a deal I couldn't pass up.Now, the question of the ...Ā MoreLet's be honest - the iPad Pro 11" hasn't really functionally changed since this design was introduced in 2018. I got the 2022 model because my 2018 iPad Pro broke (I sat on it - oops), and with store credit and a discount and the free AppleCare through TotalTech - it was a deal I couldn't pass up.Now, the question of the ages - do I get the 11" or 12.9"? Consider these questions:* Are you a consumer or a creator? If you plan to spend you time on this editing videos or photos, doing music production, or sitting at a desk doing writing and spreadsheets - then the larger model may be better for you. For a consumer (browsing the web, checking email and messages, streaming music and video, doing social media) the 11" is perfect.* Is this a go-everwhere device - something you want always with you in your briefcase or backpack - so you can use at a moment's notice? Get the 11". The 12.9" is for people who take the tablet to a desk or table and then do work on it for a period of time. You don't use the 12.9" model in your hand(s) - you put it down on a surface and either type or use the pen.I got the 11" because I can easily hold it in one hand and either use my fingers or the pen to move around. I can be standing in line at the coffee shop, or sitting in a meeting at the office. It is unobtrusive and does not look and feel like you are carrying a MacBook screen around in your hands. But whichever model you get, I think for most people I would reccomend looking for a good deal on the M1 iPad Pro, and taking the money you save and buy a Magic Keyboard - a ridiculously overpriced acessory, but it will double the capability of the tablet.

This makes it perfect for reviewing blueprints, drawings and making presentations.PERFORMANCEIt's powered by the M2 chip (same chip that's used in the latest MacBook Air and MacBook Pro) so it's incredibly fast and responsive, so I can easily multitask between different apps and tasks.CAMERASIt has a dual-camera system on the back, with a 12MP wide-angle lens and a 10MP ultrawide-angle lens. The cameras take excellent photos and videos, even in low light. There's also a 12MP front-facing camera for selfies and video calls.LiDARThis was another of the deciding factors on choosing the Pro model over the Air, this is useful for a variety of tasks, such as measuring dimensions and it can be used to create 3D scans of objects and environments which is very handy on the projects.STORAGEI went with the 256GB version because is a great option for my needs, it is more affordable, and has plenty of storage space for what I need it for. And if ever need more space I have the option to attach an external hard drive with the USB C (which has great transfer speeds) and make more cost effective.BATTERY LIFEIt also has a long-lasting battery, so I donāt have to worry about running out of power in the middle of the workday and that's great because usually I'm in the middle of nowhere, It just has died on my once.CELLULAR CONNECTIVITYWhy I went with the unlocked cellular version? Well for me it boils down to the flexibility in terms of choosing a carrier and a plan that meets your needs. This is especially important if you work in a remote area like me where there is limited cellular service and unlike the WiFi only version the cellular version has an integrated GPS.Another factor is that unlocked versions are often less expensive than carrier-locked models. This is because you are not paying for the subsidy that carriers typically charge for locked devices. And lastly, unlocked versions have a higher resale value than carrier-locked models. This is because they can be used with any cellular carrier, which makes them more attractive to potential buyers and this will help me in the long run when is time to upgrade.SOFTWAREThe iPad Pro runs on iPadOS, which is a version of iOS that's specifically designed for tablets. iPadOS has a number of features that make it ideal for productivity, such as Split View and Slide Over. It also has a wide range of apps available, including both productivity apps and entertainment apps.PORTABILITYI also love the fact that it is so portable, actually this was the deciding factor on why I went with the iPad and not a laptop or the IPad Pro 12.9 in. I can easily carry it around with me on the jobsite without having to worry about it weighing me down.PROSStunning displayIncredible performanceExcellent battery lifeWide range of apps availablePowerful camerasInternet access almost everywhereCONSExpensiveNo Thunderbolt portLimited file system accessCONCLUSIONOverall, I recommend this Ipad to anyone who is looking for a powerful and versatile work device. Itās the best work device Iāve ever had, and I canāt imagine working without it.I use it mostly for the following tasks:To capture data from solar panels and other equipment that we use.To make presentations about our solar farm projects. To access engineering drawings and other technical documents.I use it to take notes and keep track of tasks. To communicate with my team members. That being said this device has made my work so much easier and more efficient.TIP FOR PRO USERS:Even the iPad Pro is expensive, you can write off a percentage from your taxes if you're going to use it for work or business purposes like me, since this device is marketed as professional work device it opens up that option. To do this, you need to meet the following criteria:1. You must use the iPad for business purposes at least 50% of the time.2. You must not have acquired the iPad from a relative. The percentage you can deduct is equal to the percentage of time you use it for work or business purposes. For example, if you use the iPad 60% of the time for business, you can deduct 60% of the cost on your taxes. To deduct the cost on your taxes, you will need to keep track of how you use it. You can do this by keeping a log of your usage or by using a time tracking app. You will also need to keep your receipts for the iPad and any related expenses, such as accessories or software. This is no financial advice and you should consult with a tax professional to verify if it applies in your particular case since each situation is different and may not be applicable in your situation.
The iPad Pro is still the best tablet on the planet by far.The display is excellent as always. Colors are vivid and text is sharp. ProMotion 120Hz is life changing; youāll never want to use a 60Hz screen again. The pro has some of the best speakers Iāve ever heard in a portable device, tablet or laptop. While the bass isnāt as strong as Iād like, (itās a miracle thereās as much as bass as there is in the ridiculously thin form factor of this thing) the mids and higher end are incredibly clear.Performance is overkill for iPadOS, but nonetheless the M2 chip speeds through any task you throw at it. You can try to make the thing slow down with multiple apps and tabs open, but itāll just chug on without breaking a sweat.Battery life lasts a full day and then some. ...Ā MoreThe iPad Pro is still the best tablet on the planet by far.The display is excellent as always. Itās not gonna beat out the 13ā M2 MacBook Air, but if youāre the type to plug in your device overnight regardless of its charge, then the Proās battery should be more than enough.Apple pencil gets a small upgrade on the M2 iPad Pro with the new āhoverā feature that allows a preview of the color, size, and angle of your brush strokes before making contact with the screen. Well this isnāt new technology by any means, its inclusion on the new Pro is appreciated.Magic keyboard support continues to be great and allows the iPad to turn into a versatile laptop that suits most peoples workflows.

Coming from a fifth generation iPad, it was hard to get used to not having the button at the bottom. Also other things to get used to with new iOS, like when I swipe up from the bottom, the taskbar pops up first, when Iām used to minimizing the screen first. So you kind of have to continue swiping to shrink your browser window, or search through apps, not sure if Iām explaining that clearly, but when you swipe up to get all the open windows and apps, and you can flick them up to make them disappear, thatās the function Iām talking about. I also IMMEDIATELY noticed this speaker, improvement, and how light weight and thin the unit is. Though itās not the HDR screen the larger pro has, I think the quality is great, again a big improvement from my iPad fifth generation. ...Ā MoreComing from a fifth generation iPad, it was hard to get used to not having the button at the bottom. I also IMMEDIATELY noticed this speaker, improvement, and how light weight and thin the unit is. Though itās not the HDR screen the larger pro has, I think the quality is great, again a big improvement from my iPad fifth generation. It looks bigger than my iPad fifth generation, but it doesnāt feel any heavier or harder to hold. I have not bought the keyboard for it, but Iām thinking about it as it is seems from online reviews kind of handy to not drag my laptop inside or further taking out my laptop, plugging it in, and going through all that when this is always charged and in my room. I can swipe through emails, search the web, check out YouTube, social media, real estate, all very easily, while lying in bed without any discomfort. I added a slim shell case, as I donāt like those other cases that cover and prop up, and feel bulky holding while sitting in bed, or on the couch. Battery also last twice as long as my four or five year old fifth-generation. A dislike is the power down feature , though, I think I can fix that in settings, and screenshot doesnāt feel natural either. Itās set up where I pinch the top button and top volume button meaning I have to grab the top corner together with fingers on both hands and doesnāt feel easy to do in hand and I have to rest the tablet on my stomach to hold pressure while pressing. Old method better and more secure using the two palms of my hand on two opposite ends of the tablet made it much easier to hold without feeling like the tablet is gonna fly out of my hand, or fall on the ground. Also the old method was easy, either horizontally or vertically. I guess I have to get used to it if I canāt fix it in settings, which I know there are a few settings like that which I need to explore. So Iāve heard it before, and now I agree, Apple needs to bring back the button!!!
I believe Microcenter is doing a good job in regards to helping customers. I did use the text to customer for the first time and it was a good experience. I had to go to multiple stores and only one person who was a formal Sprint employee new this. It needs to be explained to them that in order to put the Ipad Pro 11 4th generation on a T mobile account you will need to be fully migrated to a T Mobile plan if for some reason your have a cheaper plan then the newer plans then the other option would be to purchase the 6th Generation IPad pro 12.9 inch with Cellular and it should work.We tested the IPad Pro 11 4th generation with a tmobile only slim card and the IPad pro 11 4th generation did work but it was for someone who has a straight T Mobile account and not a migrated account. When the 6 generation IPad pro was purchased I immediately called T Mobile to check to see if it was compatible and they immediately said that the device was compatible and I was able to put it on a new line and new slim card without a issue and then cancel my other line that had my old Ipad device. This allowed me to do a fresh start on the device then I restored the I cloud backup. But I checked the imei number through t mobile first this time before I added all of my stuff back on.So please make sure this is noted in bold letters on your website for this device so other people who are in a similar situation want buy the wrong one and have to spend a day trying to figure this out like I did. I will be working to add this possibly to one of your reviewsRemember: This device does work with a straight T Mobile account. This device will give you issues if you have a account that was mitigated from a Sprint to T Mobile. This review has nothing to do with Micro Center love this place and would recommend them to anyone. This is to help Formal sprint customers who want to upgrade their tablet to the new one and want to purchase it outright and add it to their existing account but dont know which one works if they have a migrated sprint account this took me from 11 am to 5 pm to get resolved so im going to help save other people time
