24 Port Ubiquiti UniFi USW-PRO-24-POE Managed Gigabit Network Switch

Awesome switch as expected, works as expected, plenty of power budget for lots of PoE devices. just what I needed.

Ubiquti have a rather limited range of switches. Our requirements was one that had PoE capability for our nanoHD access points and a 10Gbps uplink. This particular switch meets our requirements rather well. The only problem with setting it is up is that it is difficult to perform a bulk update of the switch port configuration.

Budget Friendly Entry Level Switch.

My basic suggestion for a 5 user or less network. Always Buy the Biggest One the Budget will allow for Growth.

Extremely capable switch with unparalleled management tools

Upgraded my home network from an older (non-Unifi, non-PoE) managed switch to this USW-PRO-24-POE. At the same time, I also replaced a Uniquiti Edgerouter PoE 5 with a UDM-PRO to take full advantage of the Unifi OS Ecosystem. This switch integrates perfectly. I'm using a 10GB SFP+ copper connection to link them. The performance has been exceptional, and management is easy using the Unifi Dashboard and Controller. This is clearly overkill for my home, but maybe not given the fact that we have about 65+ client connections mixed between wired and wireless (using 2 Unifi AC-PRO AP's). Will be adding several Unifi Protect cameras in the near future, which will now be simple with the PoE capabilities of this switch. Not a Layer3 Switch

It switches, but it's not layer3. It will fit the bill for a small office or very simple network. In order to achieve layer3 routing you need to purchase the "Dream Machine" Controller to handle the routing. To me a layer3 switch can handle this on it's own without a second controller. As it cannot handle the layer 3 traffic on it's own, I consider it layer 2. Pairing it together with the external controller and another 24 port switch let me get an enterprise environment back up and running when my aruba switch popped, so it can do the job with all the right extra pieces.

Powerful switch

Great switch. A lot of power and features. Handles 10Gb uplinks with ease. Supports layer 3 switching but I don't have a need for it yet. Bought this particular model to have a 10Gb uplink to my main switch. Generally happy with it. The only downside is that the fan is running all the time even though it is fairly quiet.

Unifi rocks!

This device works with the Ubiquiti Unifi platform. COVID has affected Ubiquiti's delivery, but their new products are great. It was good to get hold of this device, which is in short supply.
