You call these running shorts but from my point of view, they are a really great pair of all round shorts. I wear them to the gym on a regular basis but they are also made for running. There’s a pocket in the back to pop your key & credit card in & pockets for other things like a handkerchief. In terms of size, I originally brought a medium but found the small was a better fit, so maybe try them on for size first.

Excellent shorts. Love the addition of the normal pockets. The rear pocket is great for a key or gel etc. the only downside is the new pockets ride up on your leg while running and bunch up. Not a big issue but noticeable.

Great fit, and plenty of storage. Great for long runs where you need to carry gels or a phone (larger size pocket with good zip for larger phone) and then quickly chuck things into a hand pocket such as wrappers or gel packets. Fit is great and works well on long trails and road running.

Great for any distance runs. Short and fast or long and slow. Back zip pocket is a decent size.Side pockets are not noticeable when running, but not for carrying gear. Good for your phone at the Cafe after a run.
The fit of the shorts and the liner are exactly what I have been looking for. I have been running in 7 and 9 inch inseam short for about 12 years now, and want something shorter, but not the racing short shorts I wore in my twenty and thirties. I've run several runs in these and they give me the feel of the short shorts I wore in the '70 and '80s, but at 66 years old I'll do everyone a favor and stick with the 5" inseam.
So yup, nothing fits in the pocket (side not back).That being said, I take tremendous research and precautions when buying good quality clothes. After reading every review, I decided to go ahead for this product....It is simply too good. It will be worth every penny.
Great fabric and design. Unfortunately size too small. However returns process was so easy and able to exchange for a larger size. Cannot wait to the right size to arrive.
Like most 2xU stuff these shorts are excellent as expected. The length is great and treads the fine line between too long and too short. Love the zip pocket at the back for safe storage of a car key on a run or hike.
Short term review. These feel quite light when you're running. Also great to layer over a pair of tights if you crave the modesty.
Perfect fit in every way. I really like these shorts for the gym, the lining removes the need for wearing jocks that get all sweaty and cause chaffing. My new go to gym short.
