I just did a 20 mile run in these tights just under 3 hours. Very comfortable and great in the rain. It was heavily raining with cold temperatures. They kept me dry and warm. I do wish the length was 2 inches longer to cover my socks. But overall the fit is excellent. Highly recommended!

I reside in Canberra and had been looking for thermal compression tights for a while to cater to my cycling trips and HIIT training during winters. Based on the reviews I decided to go in for the 2XU ones over the other brands available in Rebel Sports. These ones were bought online directly from the 2XU Store as I couldn’t find them available at Rebel Sports. For my size, the XLT ones were recommended but upon receiving them, found them a bit tight. Should have gone in for the XXL instead but after a while I’ve managed to lose some weight and they fit rather well. As for quality, they are extremely comfortable when cycling in Canberras winters and provide adequate protection against the cold. I loved them. The fit is good. There are only two issues: the pocket is too small for many phones, and the upper section does not strentch as much due to the panel. Perhaps the upper part can be a little longer to compensate for that as it barely comes close to my waist. These are not like the other 2XU compressions (feel a bit shorter around the waist). I wore them -15C and I was fine. I felt the cold only a little around my calf, but not on my thighs.

Nice Tights!
15 November 2022

I had read all the reviews prior to ordering and I agree that the leg opening (at the bottom of the leg) could be a little bit larger or similar to the other tights like the MCS Run and Light Speed. These are more difficult to get over my foot / heel than the others. That being said the front upper fabric is a completely different material (as advertised) and does seem to help keep the wind at bay, it is less stretchy so be aware of that. I have not been out in the rain to test the moisture resistance. I included some pictures of the try on before I took the tags off. They don't fit quite as snug or "Form Fitting" as the others I own however their fit is very good considering the front fabric is less stretchy than the rest of the tights. I weigh about 5'11" 156 lbs. ... MoreI had read all the reviews prior to ordering and I agree that the leg opening (at the bottom of the leg) could be a little bit larger or similar to the other tights like the MCS Run and Light Speed. I weigh about 5'11" 156 lbs. and am wearing a Small Tall which I prefer over the Medium I also own.I wore them just this morning on a 4 mile jog / walk in 25 degree weather with 6mph wind. If I was jogging and warmed up from that activity I was warm enough to be comfortable, If I was walking and not running I could feel the cold, mind you I was 100 percent exposed along a street with the wind in my face. Other times I would have layered 2 and occasionally 3 layers of leggings to obtain the warmth that these alone provided. I wore these Ignition Shield Compression Tights paired with the Ignition Compression Long Sleeve with the Ignition 1/4 zip as my outer layer. Take that how you will, I'm happy with the order and will continue to wear these for my cold morning exercise. I believe if you are running / jogging the whole time you would be perfectly comfortable, I'm recovering from an issue and had to walk portions and that's when the cold could be felt.Very nice tights, Highly Recommended. Thanks 2XU!

Nice tights
2 February 2023

I use these for SUP and they are really great. The "package control" is excellent. I hope your design team starts to think about SUP and that sports needs. These are amazing on colder days, the thighs are windproof with the calfs in their compression material. Nice combo and would love one all windproof. Emphasising package control is imho really important.

Perfect in the Cold Rain
24 October 2022

Now that it has finally turned to cold rain here on the wet coast, I had a chance to go for a run in these. I am very happy with them. I love the fit as usual, didn't notice the water or the cold. They also dried off pretty quick after I got inside. Love the compression. I thought the shielded quad fabric worked great. I'll be wearing these even on my walks in the rain and cold now and certainly for runs in the cold and wet weather. Yes the ankles can be tight, but it works to keep the tights in place on my calves and prevents them from moving away from where they need to be. Much like the recovery tights, it just takes a bit of patience and practice to make it easy to get them on and off over your ankles. Big feet could be an issue, however.

Tights for winter running...
28 December 2022

I purchased these tights for winter running at Park Run. 2XU were recommended by a friend and the Ignition Shield Compression Tights fitted the bill. I was initially concerned regarding sizing, as small was the size for my weight & height (from the chart) whereas I am normally medium elsewhere - I needn't have worried, they are a perfect & comfortable fit, even when worn all day as a test ! I would recommend them to others.

True compression
14 October 2022

Definitely a lot of compression through the thighs and calves. It was actually hard to get the ankle holes on over my feet. Once on they were comfortable. I am 5’8” and 180 lbs, athletic build and a medium fit snugly. The fabric was a but thinner than I was expecting for winter tights but the wind proof fabric on the front seems high quality.

Warm and comfortable
1 January 2023

Keeps me warm on cold, windy runs. Haven't worn them in rain, but they kept dry on a drizzly damp run.My only complaint is that it's much harder to get them over my feet than other tights of the same size. I wish the foot openings would stretch just a little more because it feels like I'm going to rip them to put them on. They are good once they are on.

great for the worst of winter
8 September 2022

kept me warm without overheating when working hard.quite comfortable - far better than the Light Speed Compression Shorts which i found rough, possibly the difference is just the tightness.the phone pocket is perfect size for my samsung s20 but plus sized phones will not fit. they could do with a 2nd pocket for keys etc but they can be put in the phone pocket too.only other criticism is the ankles are quite tight to get off but that comes with a good fit
