Respirator has same seal quality as all other 3M products, with the advantage this one has the latch that makes it so easy to remove without having to totally dismount the mask. Very convenient specially for users with glasses.

For a mask that is supposed to be rugged I would expect a much better build quality. The headgear is very flimsy, especially the cheap clips holding the straps (which are prone to break). On top of that, the design doesn't allow to dissipate moisture sufficiently, which means after 10 minutes of use in a normal environment the cup will get dripping wet inside where moisture accumulates above a thick ridge over the exhaling opening. On the upside, it's comfortable to wear and it seals properly even when moving the head a lot.All in all this is hardware store quality, not what I expect for a product aimed at professionals.

Very comfortable and the small seals to my face well. I do get redness and soar on my nose after wearing all day, but I wear it longer than recommended so I didn’t take off a star for that. I managed to fix that by wearing a layer or two of padding where it rubs. I do like that the valve points downward although it probably is what makes it harder to hear me through the mask. I do highly recommend this product.

There are 3 reasons this mask is great:1. super soft mask material results in less pain and pressure at the contact points when wearing for long periods (especially the bridge of the nose)2. Directed exhalation flow means the moist warm air from you lungs is directed downwards. This results in less fogging and less wetness on your face.3. This is the big one: The quick latch system. Get it. This is the reason this mask is my go-to. I only ever adjust it once, and then I just open or close the quick latch to put it on. It helps with needing to speak real quick, or taking a break, and helps a ton if you have hair and adjusting straps means messing with the hair. It can easily be used with gloves on and the existence on a quick latch system is what got my crew to ... MoreThere are 3 reasons this mask is great:1. super soft mask material results in less pain and pressure at the contact points when wearing for long periods (especially the bridge of the nose)2. I bought a medium mask for the shooting range as I sometimes found myself coughing from the smoke, even in an open air range, and was concerned about inhaling lead particles. I don't consider myself a large guy but found the medium size mask rather tight on my nose - maybe my nose is too big. Anyway, no problem the medium sized mask fits my wife, who I had earlier assumed would need a small size. Living in a warm climate, the mask does get a bit hot outside but I can hardly smell the gun smoke and have no more coughing after a session at the range. The quick release on this model is worth having. Would prefer it if the particulate filters were a more neutral color that went with the mask instead of shocking pink but thumbs up for this product.
I've already been using a standard 3M mask with p100 filters for a covid hospital and it works great. Came across this mask and noticed it had a quick release feature. This mask has been super helpful as I've used it for the past week. Very easy to release and relock. I grab the exhalation vent with my thumb and pull down on the lever with my index finger. Quick to learn with one handed use. I've even had a few oworkers purchase some as well! To be honest the other standard 3M was a tiny bit more comfortable. The material on this QR mask itslef feels a bit different but none the less, I'm getting no inhalation leaks even with my bit facial hair (goatee). But I'm quickly getting used to it and it does not slip and slide off my face. Will be recommending this to others!
These 3m half mask respirators are my savior in any projects I do. My job is usually around dirty environments and I get different kinds of filters for different pollutants in the air but the overall greatness of these masks is the comfort, I can use these all day and not be as tired as other masks that I have tried are not comfortable to wear.
Yeah, I look funny, but when I put this respirator on, I look like someone you should socially distance from. With 3M 7030 P100 filters and a respirator that is fitted to ensure a seal between me and the outside world I can be confident when encountering those exercising their freedoms and not wearing masks. They may kill their family, but I can be sure they wont kill mine. The respirator is comfortable enough to run in. Just in case cops without masks or a mask less choir is chasing you. Buy 2, but make sure you get the right size for your face and head by visiting the 3M 6500 series respirator specs page. Be well.
If you can live with looking different, this is the best mask to keep you safe! Add to this the cartridge with the pink rim around the edge and you are the safest you can be.I had one at the outset of this virus. They were hard to find the cartridges, but now it is better.Lucky me, I had a couple of spares at the outset. But with the frequent use, the mask straps had begun to wear and slip.I was thrilled to find this site with the headsets at a reasonable price. They shipped quickly and I am very happy!
Comfortable. The quick drop down feature is indispensable. I pair it with the "3M 2297 Advanced Particulate Filter P100" which humiliates all other filters on the market for total effectiveness plus they are light weight and low profile. I use for protection while welding/grinding metal (and everything else).
