I bought this mask to use for painting because every time I paint I end up getting a cold, so I finally decided to buy one. So far, after probably 12 hours of use, it is mostly comfortable, easy to wear, easy to tighten, and does a great job at filtering out the paint. I can't smell any paint at all while wearing the mask. I say "mostly comfortable" because it has made the bridge of my nose really sore from using it. It isn't too tight or anything and the bridge piece itself is very soft, squishy silicon-like material. Maybe my face shape isn't great for this mask? Overall, my four star rating is because of the discomfort on my nose and the fact that once the straps are tight they are hard to loosen while wearing the mask. That isn't necessarily a bad thing since ... MoreI bought this mask to use for painting because every time I paint I end up getting a cold, so I finally decided to buy one. I needed a ventilated mask for the summer, and this mask meets my needs, as the hot air I am breathing out does not collect as much as it does with the CPAP mask type that I was using before. I wore this mask today while walking around inside a very warm metal warehouse, and I could feel the air in the mask actively circulating as I breathed in and out. I am not crazy about the way that the filters stick out on the side, but I can understand the design tradeoffs involved. The silicone mask is very comfortable, although it does stick to your skin with the perspiration from your face. A breathable, absorptive layer should be added to increase comfort, but this is a good start. The headpiece is very cheap, so that should be made stronger in my opinion.

Very comfortable, and a great fit. The silicone gasket fits snuggly without irritating over long periods of wear. Easy to breath in. The included particulate filter worked wonderfully. Scents never penetrated the mask while working with various fluids, so filtration definitely works.

I purchased this 7502 and the 6200 both are medium because are the only size available at Bunnings. This 7500 series* is made out of silicone and it is softer and feels maybe a little comfy on the face. The 6000 series** are made out of Thermoplastic Elastomer (TPE). The cool flow breathing valve on the 7500 series does not seem much cooler to me, but maybe under more harsh environment, it would perform better. Not sure if it is worth the $40 more over the 6000 series.* 7501 is Small, 7502 is Medium and 7503 is Large, weighs ~140g** 6100 is Small, 6200 is Medium and 6300 is Large, weighs ~80g
I have two of these 7500 series masks; I bought the second because I liked the first so much and wanted one for my partner! They are comfortable and easy to use once correctly fitted, and if you store them properly in a sealed container,(I use a food container from a "Big" retailer, with a rubber seal) the filters can last much longer. They caThey are versatile,(especially when you get some different filters) I've used mine when sanding, spray painting, using chemicals with dangerous fumes, and in the roof amongst the dust and insulation. I also used it when I had to clean up my yard & gutters in the thick smoke during the 2019/20 bushfires. As an asthmatic, it's some of the best money I've spent, and it enables me to get more stuff done around the house! What ... MoreI have two of these 7500 series masks; I bought the second because I liked the first so much and wanted one for my partner! They are comfortable and easy to use once correctly fitted, and if you store them properly in a sealed container,(I use a food container from a "Big" retailer, with a rubber seal) the filters can last much longer. If you look on the 3m site, you can see that there is a stupidly large range of filters. Some are all-in-one, and others can be used in combination with each other. That is because these masks are used in all sorts of different trades which require different sorts of filtering.Yes, Bunnings does not stock much in the way of refills, but I have actually seen some in my local store despite them not being on the website, so it's wrong to say they don't stock refills. It's also not that difficult to source them from other local retailers if you spend a few minutes on a search engine...this is a very common mask, and you shouldn't have trouble finding filters. (beware of cheap knock offs from a certain auction website though)
I have been looking for the perfect mask when painting or doing my nails. This is the perfect mask. I cough, sneeze or get a stuffy noise from any types of fumes, dust or debris and this mask has the perfect seal that has lots of room to breathe freely and i cannot smell anything while wearing. Very satisfied customer.
Used this mask for the first time spray painting my 1976 Yamaha motorcycle tank, with 1K base and clear coat spray paint. I could not believe the chemical smell when I took off the mask in my garage after I was done painting. I quickly put it back on and, 0 smells. Obviously effective to an amateur! Also this mask is easy to use, very comfortable to wear. Just the instructions were almost impossible to navigate, so much unnecessary detail and such little actual information. Luckily it's mostly self-explanatory.
I have a combination blower/mulcher that I use, and I really needed a particulate mask for all of the dead leaf dust that inevitably ends up in my sinuses. This mask was a little pricey, but it works wonderfully. What makes it more than good, though, is that this is just the base platform. Once you realize that, it doesn't seem that expensive. The mask and harness itself are designed to be permanent, and the individual filters for different applications can be interchanged on demand at much lower costs, and you see that you're not getting a shoddy product. Very pleased with it.
I have used a lot of respirators in my time and would have to say that this is by far the most comfortable. The mask will pass the negative pressure test easily without having to be uncomfortably tight and breathing is the easiest I have experienced in any mask. The head band is a stroke of design genius and keeps the mask in its correct position all the time and as mentioned previously, without having to be uncomfortably tight. It is easily cleaned (just follow the instructions and don’t use solvents) so avoiding any bacteria buildup. The kit comes with two 6001 cartridges and two pairs of 5N11 filters so depending on use, will keep you going for a while. I bought this to wear while I resurfaced the coating of my shower. The shower painting kit I bought used aerosol paint and recommended a mask such as this one. I bought a medium sized mask, and it was very comfortable and easy to use. The filters worked perfectly and I couldn't smell any fumes while painting in such a small space. There is a 1-way valve that allows your breath to escape through the bottom of the mask and helps keep moisture out. The straps are adjustable and do a good job of holding the mask to your face. Highly recommended painting mask, I'm sure I'll use it again.
