These boots are very comfortable. I wore a pair out and tried other brands and ended up buying these again. Somehow my second pair feels like an improvement from my first. I didn't have to put a special foot padding for either pair, and I walk about 5 to 6 miles a night on my 12hr shifts. They also look good polished up. Meets all the special ratings my job requires and has a secret knife pocket.

While the pull tab on the back is a welcome addition, the 2.0 version of this boot leaves a lot to be desired. They definitely run narrower than the original. I'd worn a 12w for years, but the new version's 12w is uncomfortably tight all the way up the laces. This may have to do with the liner seeming bulkier. One of the best things about the uninsulated ATAC Storm was that it was a four season waterproof boot. You had room to bulk up your socks in the winter and keep comfortable with normal socks the other three seasons. That's not the case with this generation. I doubt I could fit my winter socks inside these, and in the heat of the summer they are sweaty beasts. Great work boots. We’re really comfortable but quality of material didn’t last. I think it was roughly 3-6 months I had to buy new. The zippers both broke off and wouldn’t have been too bad but the actual zipper portion fell apart as well. Overall I would have rated higher had they lasted longer.
I got this boot to replace my broken Air Force-issued garbage flying boots about a year ago. I fly C-17s and am constantly running around the jet and/or cockpit, as well as the flightline, and I can say without a doubt that these are the best boots I've ever owned. They stand up well to punishment and are lighter than some tennis shoes I've owned. The zipper is a great feature so I don't have to tie/untie every time, and if I need a snugger fit I can cinch down the laces as needed. Really appreciate that they come in coyote brown. My only concern is the durability of the zipper in the long run-- it seems like something that could fail eventually and render the boot nearly useless. I have purchased four pairs of these boots. I noticed this last time the style number changed but still basically the same boot. I am a fire investigator and wear one pair to work in. I wear another pair for when I do office work and other uniformed work and am not scuffing the boot up. My third pair is just my everyday winter boot that I wear everywhere on my time off. The boot polishes up nicely and looks great with street clothes. When the field boot gets overly worn, I demote the boots down and buy a new pair for my everyday wear. This doesn’t happen often, as they are a very good quality and don’t wear out easily. Most importantly, they are comfortable and are waterproof. The latest model has this silly loop poking out the back that looks like it will get caught in underbrush the first time I take them into the backcountry. I'm thinking of ways to tie them down. All of the boots I've owned have had an issue with the insole coming unglued and falling out when the inside of the boot gets wet, such as fording a stream. Usually the first time I take them off after getting them wet, the insole comes right out with my foot and never quite settles back again into the same spot, often bunching up at the toe.

I've had these boots for two years now. I've been an 11'1/2 in every shoe size I've ever worn when I first put these boots on nothing felt different but after actually wearing them my toes started to feel sore, I first thought I just had to break them in but ultimately that was never the case. It was really disappointing because I went hiking quite a bit in them and outside of my toes being totally butchered they are completely water proof and I really put them through the test in that regard. I'd say they're good boots just sized oddly.
Hello all. After working in corrections for 28 years and trying every boot on the market I choose these boots as my favorite boots hands down. Super comfortable right out of the box, no break in time needed. I get at least 3 years from these boots at work and about another 3 years around the house(fishing, yard work, hunting, cutting firewood, etc). Absolutely love these boots and being big man that walks on concrete for 12 hours nothing is more important than foot wear and foot care. Love them,would buy if they were $300.00.
