I purchased the 5.11 Men's Canvas Cotton. The canvas cotton material is very stiff & uncomfortable to wear, especially on long hikes. I have purchased 5.11 men's pants in the past & they were a softer material & are very comfortable to wear.I lost the tag on those 5.11 so I don't know how to find them? I called the 5.11 customer service & they recommended the 5.11 Canvas Cotton.I called 5.11 customer service & told them they are very stiff & uncomfortable & they said I should wash them & that would help? I washed them & it did not make a difference.Now that I washed them they said I can not exchange or return them now.So I'll just have to donate them or throw them away.I wish there was some way I could find the softer material I had purchased in the past? Lots of pockets to put stuff like admin stuff, magazines and leathermans. I've had them for about month. I'm enjoying them so far. I give it 4 stars because it doesn't come with ankle cuff draw strings, but it has the holes for them. The extra inner-fly-flap button makes it easier to keep your pants zipped up! The cotton does friction more on a sweaty knee, I might add.

These are my favorite pants period, I use them for welding for a fast food job and really anything else including casual use. Each pair lasts me about a year which is fair considering I use them every day and am really hard on them. They are really cool In hot weather and do ok up until it gets around 35 degrees I live in Az so they are perfect they double front adds some durability since the fabrics a little thin compared to some of my other work pants. I also love all the pockets I end up using all of them except for the back pockets. Really my only complaints are how thin the fabric is and also you can only seem to buy these online.

A one quality.100% cotton will fade faster than the Poly cotton, but they greet in the cold and hot weather over the poly cotton trousers. If it raining or wet snow then the poly cotton do better. They are great work trousers over anything else sold. As for the poly /cotton ones the latest shipment was a little larger than the all cotton of the same size . Oh the packets for my rural life style with dog and more they are perfect..
I really like the pants. What I don't like is, the on-line page was unclear about the fit of the pants. I was trying to order regular fit so I picked the filter for regular fit. When these pants came up, I believed I was ordering regular fit but when they arrived, I received relaxed fit. No where on the page did it identify what fit was being ordered. All it had was the waist size and pant's length. When I returned the items to a local store, the employee told me these particular pants don't come in regular fit, only relaxed fit. It did not say that on the item description when I purchased them on-line. It should be clear on the web page for an item was fits (slim, regular, relaxed, etc.) the item comes in.

Who could ask for more?Well, i suppose I could, given that I've only given them a 4/5 rating. The material has gotten a bit lighter over the years and I don't like that but it's not enough to deduct a star. What did cause me to lower my rating is that the right side knife pocket is no longer a feature. I generally carry the largest auto knife allowed by law. It was a perfect fit in that little slit of a pocket on the right leg, just above the cargo pocket. Now I have to clip it inside the right pants pocket. That works OK, I suppose, but occasionally gets fouled with my keys which are on a retractor clipped to the metal triangle ... MoreThese are my favorite pants. My 64 year old trophy wife found a pair of your 511 brand new at Goodwill in 28x30 which fit her perfectly. She is from Eastern Europe and is all about fashion. 511 is fashion for Americans who work hard, honor the Constitution and the values this great country was founded on. Now she is a Proud American Citizen, a flaming Capitalist, and works harder than anyone else at work. Most of all, she now wears 511's and has three pairs to choose from. And she says "That two and a half more pairs than I get under Communism!'
I like these pants a lot. They are comfortable and very well made. Pockets and closures work great. They are also very stiff. That’s why I took a star off. It’s really ok for me, because of how I intend to use them. They may also soften up a bit with more washing. But, after two washes they still feel like pretty stiff canvas, very like outdoor canvas covers.
These tactical pants are amazing.I can leap over tall buildings and crawl under parkedcars without any bunching in the crotch area. Cars must parked because if they were moving, I would be a world champion on American Ninja Warrior and I wouldn’t be able to write this fantastic review. Merry Christmas to all and If you’re offended, I don’t care. I’m wishing good will, so take your over sensitive mad crazed Karen self and put on a pair of these tactical beauties and take a flying leap into a lake. Five thumbs up my patriotic citizens.
I purchased two pair of these pants to wear to a MAG-40 class, and I could not have been happier with my purchase. What I did not expect was seeing so many instructors (including the great M.A. Himself) wearing the same pants. That was certainly validating! I prefer cotton to blends in hot and sticky conditions, and these pants were perfect. The pants are roomy and have well thought-out pockets. I especially appreciated the magazine pocket on the left. I'm a thin 5'10" female, 140 pounds, and wear a 32x34. They are a perfect fit (and perfect for me means not too tight), with plenty of room to crouch, squat, and kneel comfortably. I could not be happier.
