My husband is an electrician & is high up on ladders or just in the heat in general. He found this particular shirt several years ago & loves them!The polyester cotton blend is lighter weight & washes well - if hung up immediately after drying they don’t wrinkle - I’m all for that!The 5.11 Tactical store locally does not carry this shirt anymore so finding it from Galls was a blessing. My husband definitely recommends this shirt. It is the classic fit - roomy - not the type that is more form fitting & the venting underneath in the back helps him so much. It runs a little big, so he only needs a large. He wears it untucked, but it’s long enough for tucking in. I can say yes to ordering from Galls - I’d never heard of them so I was reluctant, but glad that I did.

Been wearing 5.11 uniforms for 10 years. Something changed over the years. The past 2 years, I’ve had rashes all over my body. Finally realized it was my 5.11 uniforms causing this. Just wanted to let people know if anyone else has rashes and can’t figure out what’s causing them.

Very bad rating. VERY BAD! The shirts were all missed sized, so they did not fit anyone. My 3XL is the only one that was correctly labeled and fit. The three, 2XL shirts were the same size as the 3XL, one of them was bigger. The large was an XL. So, the 3XL was the only one correctly labeled and fit. I made the big mistake of trusting your order would not be messed up. I sent the shirts off to the embroiders, got our logo and officers names put on them, then issued them out. After issuing out, I learned only one of them fit and we cannot use them. Since I had them embroidered, I can't get them exchanged for the correct size and I lost my money on the embroidering. So not happy. The shirts which are correctly size so you can order and wear, are great shirts.

My first one has finally, after about 12 years+ started to get a little worn around the collar.It's still just fine but it's nice to have one to rotate with when I travel. This shirt is perfect for when I often fly and need the right sized and well-placed pockets for passport, boarding pass, money clip, notebook and earplugs...among other things.It's comfortable in most any weather, dries fast after washing and after all this time has never taken a stain permanently.Yeah, they cost a bit but if you can get over a decade's worth of very regular wear from a shirt then it pays for itself quite a few times over.It's not just a shirt for me but a piece of gear - so there you go.
Ideal warm weather utility shirt with the right amount of pockets. It is the only 511 shirt with a cape back vent. Good quality/ weight fabric. Medium size is a good fit for my 41 chest size / 5-10 height 170 lbs build. Sleeves are a bit baggy but allow free range of movement. *My only gripe is that it isn't carried in 511 retail stores and are pricey when not on sale.
The material and look are awesome. My issue is the inconsistent sizing with 5.11I have several size large button ups and I ordered this in a size large as well but it was much larger than the other larges I already have from 5.11I guess I just don’t get why the sizing is so inconsistent. This isn’t the first time I’ve noticed this issue and in fact, it’s not even the first review to mention this. My question would be, knowing this is a recurring issue, how hard can it be to fix?
I've used 5.11 pants, shirts and backpacks for years now. I believe I bought my first TacLite pants over 10 years ago and they've seen a lot of use. Only a few stitches from the crotch area have broken from about an inch length, otherwise still in perfect shape. Not one TacLite shirt ever has broken in use. The water repellent treatment wore off long time ago, however it has not been a problem as the shirts still work like new. I highly appreciate products that last long and one can rely on. Way worth their price any day.
I have owned these shirts for 3 years. this was my first purchase directly from 5.11.These shirts fit well and allow for free movement. They have held up extremely wellwith no color fade or seam failure. Even though there price point seems high you are purchasing a quality product. If you purchase a $ 30.00 shirt and have to replace it everyyear after 3 years you spent more. I'll keep buying as long as the quality does no waver.
Normally I seek out functional apparel. This shirt has function plus more. True to fit. Some shirts I wear size large. Other shirts I wear XL. I bought this Taclite Pro size XL and this fits me well. This took 2 weeks to ship to me. I'm not in a rush. I'm satisfied!
