I spent a couple of months reading reviews and visiting showrooms for a new OLED 65" TV. After watching YouTube tech reviews on this model and finding it enjoyed high ratings from quite a few multiple sources, I stopped by a showroom to see the actual picture and was amazed at how well the picture, colors and clarity were. I was sold on this TV right then and ordered it online for delivery a day later. The setup was very easy, but you do need two people to handle the TV out of the box to install the legs, as it is big, thin and needs to be well supported during handling. Don't try and do it alone or you'll be back to the dealer attempting to explain why the screen cracked (and you'll be out another $2K to get it replaced). Just follow the picture-by-picture guide and you'll do fine on the set-up.The onscreen setup is easy, but it'll take a few minutes to get your favorite apps loaded on the home screen. Otherwise, it's a pretty simple job. I did very little of the "Personalized" settings to keep unwanted suggestions & target ads to a minimum and it seems to do just that. The Samsung minimalist-designed remote takes a bit getting used to compared to a standard one, but once mastered it's just fine. And it has dedicated buttons for my three main streamers: Netflix, Disney and Prime. This TV is now one week old today and, like me, no one should have any regrets in choosing this 65" S90 OLED TV for their home.

I had a 5yr old VIZEO 50" smart TV, which was working fine when I turned it off one night. But when I turned it back on the next morning, everything had a strong bluish tint, which I was unable to correct. After checking with Consumer Reports, I decided to upgrade to this SAMSUNG 55" OLED type TV. My local Walmart did not have any in stock. So, I ordered it late one afternoon and it was delivered to my front door less than 24hrs later! I live alone, but since it only weighs 39 pounds, I figured I could easily install it myself (even though the instructions call for 2 people). However, the entire screen is very thin--less than 1/4" thick--and seemed like it might flex and sustain damage, if I tried to lift it with just a hand on each side. Two people really are needed so they can each lift one end from the bottom with one hand and steady each side with their other hand. The OLED picture is noticeably superior to my old LCD picture--brighter colors, sharper details, and indoor scenes are not as dark! With my old TV, I had a problem separating dialog from background music and used a BOSE soundbar which helped me hear/understand what was being said. The sound on this TV is good enough that I don't need a separate soundbar.Although this cost considerably more than my old VIZEO TV, I believe the higher quality picture and sound are worth the difference!

As for the Home Smart Menu, you have different option menus to choose, like: Ambient (Window Screen Saver), Gaming (HDR/HDR10+, and a customizable Gaming Motion Plus). The audio system is completely different in design compared to my 7 year old previous model Samsung. It now has 6 individual round speakers on the back of the television located towards the bottom which has Intelligent and Amplify Modes which spreads the sound throughout your room. My room is 12' × 14' and the sound amplifies great. Previously, I set it up in the living room and the sound was impressive in a large room. The unboxing of the TV wasn't so bad, but it was time consuming almost 40 minutes and it's a 2-man job especially when taking the TV out of the box and then placing it on the TV stand. The programming of the TV was pretty easy and that's another 30-45 minutes depending on all of the apps and devices you need to install.Overall, the Samsung QN55S95D 55" OLED television has been a great investment. The colors are vibrant, the 144hz gives it a better resolution with higher frame rates especially with gaming. The Home Smart Menu makes all your apps and devices easily accessible, but it takes some getting used to especially compared to my previous 2017 Samsung model. The remote control is simple to use asks best of all, no lid cover to replace batteries since it's solar powered.

This tv is a piece of absolute garbage. This is coming from someone who was using a 10 year old $500 TV and this one is absolutely inferior. It basically forces you to use premium services. If you try to screen mirror the aspect ratio is terrible, I've tried it on multiple devices (perfect screen mirroring on the old television.) When I turn my PS5 on it will switch to the ps5 as all tvs should but then it switches over the the completely and utterly useless gaming hub that I then have to go select my playstation 5 from the gaming hub to access it even though the source was just switched to it but the genius designed television switches you to the gaming hub directly afterwards. You cannot turn game mode auto off. I have turned auto off over and over and as soon as I turn on my ps5 the game mode turns on. So even if you turn it off it will just auto back on literally everytime you turn on the ps5 which is why the completely garbage gaming hub pops up. The operating system of this television is so bad beyond anything I could possibly imagine. Every other time I've spent a lot of technology I've been blown away with the extra features that I didn't expect. This TV has exclusively useless features unless you want to spend $15 per premium streaming service or else the "hubs" are just giant advertisement pages. I literally have like 14 buttons on my remote and 3 of them take me to a page to download a subscription service. It's an absolute joke this TV ended my positive feelings towards Samsung and I will be looking for other options for phones, tablets and TV in the future that's how absolutely terrible this TV is. Forget the image quality if it's filled with bloatware that has no option to be removed or even managed at all the settings are abysmal. I hate this TV ruined my weekend instead of making it awesome.

Samsung S90D television, an incredible TVI jumped in right away and got the QN55S90D as soon as I could, was excited to see what upgrading my TV would get me in 2024 and how a modern OLED tv would work in my situation. The quick summary is that I love this TV, I’m using it in a bright room and have none of the issues I thought I would have when using an OLED TV in my situation. There are many benefits, but to me the biggest surprise benefit is the off-angle viewing. I used to have an LED TV where I have this one, and never realized how much better the picture could look. Every day when I glance at it from the side, I’m still impressed with how good it looks. There are many benefits, but to me the biggest surprise benefit is the off-angle viewing. I used to have an LED TV where I have this one, and never realized how much better the picture could look. Every day when I glance at it from the side, I’m still impressed with how good it looks. With the fantastic picture quality, the off-angle viewing, the easy to use wonderful gaming hub, and all the other advantages, I’m now planning to purchase a second much larger one for the living room. It’s a great television and a great entertainment hub.Installation and setup were easy and straight forward. The removal from the box was easy, but I recommend going slowly, the TV is very thin and use care to lift it only where directed to in the quick setup guide. The base was very simple to install and I like that Samsung gives you clips to route the power and signal cables around so the install looks clean and neat. After that it was turn on the TV, select the language and then scan a qr code with my phone to log into my account. My Samsung account already had all my services and apps in it, so I just used those for my new TV and I was done. A few picture adjustments I like to make and log in to a few TV apps I like to use and my TV was set up and ready to go.I tested it with streaming services to see how well it upscaled and was just blown away with how fast, sharp and clear the upscaling was across multiple sources and services. The sound from the TV was great and if I didn’t already have a sound system I probably would have not bought one, since the sound was good enough for me from just the speakers, but I have a sound system and so I am going to use it. But it’s not really necessary because to me the sound from the speakers was surprisingly good. The HRD/HDR10+ content I watched and the AI upscaling was really good, better than I would have imagined before I got this TV.I was planning on buying another console to use with this TV, to take advantage of the game features of this tv, the 144Hz refresh rate, FreeSync Premium, game mode and so on, but then I opened up the gaming hub, connected my standard xbox controller via the Bluetooth 5.2 connection and with my game pass subscription I started playing my game pass games. I thought it would only handle simple games, since they were being cloud streamed but no, I was playing all of my games just like if I was on the console. Had a great time and loved it. Now just waiting to get in trouble from the better half because I have a Xbox controller sitting in front of “her” new TV.Just to summarize once again, Great TV, love the picture, love the gaming Hub, haven’t got to try to use the SmartThings hub yet, but will be setting that up when I can take myself away from gaming. I will be buying another larger one for the family room you can count on that.

I would also be concerned about potential for screen burn-in with Peak Brightness set to High (default). The Intelligent Mode was also helpful, adjusting brightness based on ambient lighting conditions. Blur and Judder Reduction was good (both set to 10) for when streaming 4k content, only judder we noticed was when the camera panned across (left to right, right to left) a highly detailed scene. Contrast Enhancer makes picture noticeably more vibrant, enhancing differences between bright colors and deep blacks. Color Booster did not seem to provide a more appealing color space, was turned off. Our overall preferred picture setting was factory settings with Peak Brightness turned off. Color and contrast are very good using factory default settings. Would have liked to see Sharpness setting have more effect on picture quality when adjusted, could only see differences when very close to the screen - no visible difference at normal viewing distance (8 ft). While watching 4k movies (especially animated CGI movies) the Depth Enhancer is noticeable and makes the picture appear almost 3D. We did go through the Smart Calibration process (which worked fine with iPhone 14), but found the picture very similar to Film Maker mode and overall color, contrast and brightness not as visually appealing as the Default settings with reduced brightness. The OS is very useful because there are plenty of apps all in one place as well as free content. The QD-OLED panel provides a very high quality picture, noticeably better than WOLED. Thinness of the TV is very attractive for wall mounting. Screen also seems to have better anti-reflection / anti-glare properties when compared to old TV (2012 Samsung). We are very impressed with the 55” Samsung S90D.

[Rewarded Review] Better than the LG C4
2 August 2024

I was hesitant between an LG C4 OLED tv, which was the one i saw the most reviews on and a Sony Bravia a90k, which a friend of mine recommended to me and heavily vouched for. I took a good look at both in person and couldnt decide, until i saw the LG C4 was on sale. I purchased the LG and i was somewhat dissapointed as the colors looked washed out and the UI wasnt the best. it felt like using a nintendo wii as its the fastest way to navigate through their okayish UI. I returned it and saw they had a Samsung S90D in stock for the exact same price and decided to pull the trigger and its a night and day differenct. This is directly quoted from RTINGS website when comparing the C4 and the S90D ..... This is directly quoted from RTINGS website when comparing the C4 and the S90D ..... "The Samsung gets brighter in HDR, so bright highlights stand out more on it, and it maintains its HDR brightness better while in 'Game Mode.' The Samsung TV also has a wider color gamut, better color volume, and better HDR gradient handling, so colors in HDR are more vibrant, lifelike, brighter, and have less banding. The Samsung has a wider viewing angle, and the image doesn't have a green tint that worsens as you move off-center, so it's the better choice for watching TV in a group setting. However, the LG supports Dolby Vision and DTS audio formats, so it's the better option for those looking to get the most out of their physical media.".... Almost everything about the Samsung i prefer except the motion clarity. When watching movies or shows on it looks buttery smooth one second, but then choppy for another, but this is my experience on most TV's, but i mainly use it for gaming. On the PS5 and on my pc, games run smooth as it goes to 144hz without needing to overclock. I was hesitant on going for a Samsung because i hardly have seen OLEDs from them but i can safely say the picture quality is better than the LG but the sound quality did seem a tad bit better on the LG but can be improved with an external speaker system. If you value a better picture quality, i recommend the S90D

[Rewarded Review] Exceptional Visual and Audio Entertainment Experie
22 April 2024

It has been over a decade since we have updated the television in our audio/visual entertainment system. We have been evaluating newer television options to replace our old power-hungry plasma TV and decided to replace it with the Samsung QN55S90D. We have not been disappointed with the choice. The S90D has a beautiful full-width QD QLED display that provides outstanding visual presentation with its bright vibrant colors. Although the factory default settings provided outstanding video and audio, we used the easy to access settings options to optimize the display to our preferences. In about 15 minutes of adjustments and testing we were able to get the system adjusted to our preference and are completely satisfied with the bright, crisp and bold colors when watching ... MoreIt has been over a decade since we have updated the television in our audio/visual entertainment system. In about 15 minutes of adjustments and testing we were able to get the system adjusted to our preference and are completely satisfied with the bright, crisp and bold colors when watching TV shows, movies, sports, concerts and other genres of programs. We also have found the Neo QLED 8K Enhancers provides an exceptional viewing experience. Most notably, when compared to our previous plasma TV, the programming appears much more three-dimensional and realistic. Characters seem to pop from the background more distinctly and adds depth to the visual experience. As a photographer I understand that yielding the most out of the raw input file depends greatly upon the ability to leverage the data and maximize its conversion into the final displayed product. Samsung has done an exceptional job of using its enhancer to maximize the available detail when displaying the programming resulting in much more detail within the elements of the displayed image. Truly impressive.Although one of the benefits which we were seeking with a replacement TV was to leverage our existing receiver and surround entertainment system, when watching streaming content on the QN55S90D, we have had the opportunity to listen to with the TV’s Dolby Atmos sound systems and have been impressed with the outstanding sound quality and experience. This capability provides us with options on leveraging the best audio experience in our entertainment experience. Finally, we had a limitation on our available TV size selection as we had an existing entertainment center with a power lift system for hiding the TV when not in use. The S90D met the need with its low-profile design and its easy to interface with mounting locations. The ability to connect to the steaming providers such as Disney+ is an added benefit we have not been able to leverage until now. I highly recommend the S90D.

[Rewarded Review] Prepare for a transcendental couch-potato journey
16 August 2024

This TV isn’t just a screen; it’s a gateway to an alternate reality. The picture quality is so sharp, it could probably slice through the fabric of time itself. The blacks are so deep, I had existential crises every time the screen fades to black, and if I stare too long, I start questioning my own existence.I’m convinced it’s not even of this world—it might actually be a gift from the gods, delivered on a beam of light straight into my living room. It’s like being in the front row at a concert, minus the hassle of transport, the sweat, and overpriced drinks. The Samsung 65” OLED TV will open your eyes, tingle your ears, blow your mind, and definitely leave you questioning your life choices for not upgrading sooner. In conclusion, this TV is an absolute game-changer. If you’re still watching shows on your old TV, you’re basically living in the Stone Age, you might as well be sending smoke signals for entertainment. Upgrade to the Samsung 65” OLED, and prepare to have your senses dazzled, and your old TV sulking in the corner, wondering where it all went wrong.Just don’t be surprised if you start inviting people over just to watch your screensaver.

One Click the TV goes on, Two clicks the Sound Bar goes on, That is it…I don’t have to use any other remote for operations! WOW! Fantastic! And the reverse works…One click sound goes off, Two clicks the TV shuts off. This never worked with the old equipment – I would have to use the original remote to shut off the sound and TV.AND the Sound – I added a new Samsung Sound Bar with Surround Sound – wow – the entire room is filled with sound.I tried a number of YouTube Test Videos – 4K, 8K, 12k, HDR – The Screen was so very bright and clear, and clean.I viewed the reruns of the Eclipse – Commercial TV and NASA TV – The DIAMOND ring was Whiter than White – it was so vibrant- I could not believe my eyes.Obviously, I love the new TV – it has so many more features that I have not begun to use. There are so many built-in APPS – AppleTV+, Paramount+, Alexa, Bixby, YouTube, Music, Disney+, Hulu, Videos.I can’t wait to keep trying and using this outstanding, state-of-the-art
