58 L Motion Sensor Rubbish Bin - Black

This is the second Devanti Motion Sensor Rubbish Bin that I've purchased. The first was for the kitchen and I was so impressed with it that I bought one for the laundry. Both are fantastic. They open automatically as you approach and close again when you walk away, so no more having to touch a dirty, germ-ridden bin lid. They're also very easy to empty and keep clean. I highly recommend them.

This is an excellent product. No need to touch the bin. Opens with the sensor and closes automatically within a few seconds.We should have purchased this product when it was first available. Can't believe it was available and we managed without it.

Sturdy bin, exactly as described. The sensor works well without being too touchy. The fact that it makes the bin 'no touch' is brilliant for better hygiene.The bin operates via 3 x AA batteries in the back of the lid. It has and on/off switch at the back of the lid and manual Open & Close buttons also on the from of the lid also. Exactly what I was looking for!

Looks nice quality. Looks good in my kitchen.This doesn’t always open and close automatically. It is a bit hit and miss and even though I can open and close with button, it is much better when it works as intended, especially when you have your hands full. A bit disappointed but is ok.

Best bin ever purchased.

So happy with this bin. It is easy to clean inside and out. I usually give it a wipe down every time I empty the bin which is once a week. No nasty odours like my previous bin from kmart. Reasonably priced from Kitchen Warehouse. It's $30 more from Myer for the same bin. I don't need anything fancy just a bin with sensor and simple design. It has ticked all the boxes. Got delivered early. Very happy customer!

Does away with all those problems associated with pedal /swing top bins

My whole family love this bin. The shape of the bin means you don't have to drag the rubbish bag out as you do of round bins that are narrower at the top than at the bottom. The bag is held in place by a ring at the top so no trying to retrieve the bag that has slipped down into the bin. The sensor v the pedal means little contact with the rubbish and no dribbles down the outside. This has been on my bucket list for quite a while I only wonder why, for health reasons, I didn't buy it sooner.The packaging was sufficient to keep the bin safe and in pristine condition on delivery, which arrived earlier than expected. All I can say is GET RID OF YOUR PEDAL OR SWING TOP BIN and buy one of these and you will never regret it. The only negative would be that, because we ... MoreMy whole family love this bin. Lid broke down just over a year from purchased.

Only 2 months past it’s warranty period and the lid broke down and couldn’t get a replacement from Myers. They adviced me to message the manufacturer directly but unfortunately the manufacturer wouldn’t replace it or even check what was wrong with it. They replied with “Because it’s over it’s warranty period which is just 12 months then we can’t do anything about it.” For a bin as expensive as this I would expect it to last more than 14 months at least. So disappointing.

Mindless Knobs

While you have put a great deal of thought in designing you automatic kitchen rubbish bin, WHY did you put the top roll of the bin on the inside???Instead if you put the top roll on the OUTSIDE of the bin the full rubbish bag could be removed from the bin without obstruction and tearing of the thin plastic bag.Mindless Knobs give it a little thought.

Really good bin

This Devanti 68L bin is tall and very well sized for a big household. I like the features - Automatic open and close when you have your hands closer to the lid. It also have a button to open and close manually. If you use this the lid stays open for 90 seconds and then closes. The other good feature is, lets say you are cooking in the morning and want to lid to stay open for an hour or even more. All you do is lift the lid manually open and it will remain open until you manually close it or press the close button. This neat little feature is smart and handy. I cannot comment on how long the battery lasts but as per the manual it should for around 3-4 months. The only issue I have is the bin is light in weight. The whole family loves this bin!

Big enough to accomodate a family of 6 and sturdy design. Quick response for the sensor and auto closes perfectly. Only down side to this was the courier company it was sent with (Aramex) which mucked around with it going back and forth to the depot for a week. Bin is amazing though!
