If she didn’t eat it or puked it up, Chloe was going to be put down by the end of next week. Well, this food literally saved her life.It arrived 2 days ago. I immediately opened it and Chloe shot up off her bed (a miracle in itself) and eat food for the first time in 4-5 days. She literally refused to eat, survived on a few cheese slices a day is the only thing she would eat. She drank water fine, so that’s what clues me in to a last ditch Hail Mary food switch.Let me tell you all this, my 16 year old dog, on the verge of malnutrition and literally half dead, has been gobbling this food up like the last supper for the last 2 days. She’s pooping solid, no vomiting, and has seeming made a miraculous recovery.UPDATE: 4/7/21Well it was good while it lasted but we had to put our dog to sleep. Poor girlThis stuff is amazing!!

Beau loves it!

Beau is a rescue and was outside for 2 years fending basically for hisself because his 19 year old owner did not feed him properly. His skin was in terrible shape as well as the fact he was barely 8 lbs. in Three weeks feeding him this good he has gained 2.5 lbs and his skin is looking better too! He’s 12 years old and is learning to trust & love again. Maltese mix

Excellent kibble for sensitive teeth.

My 14 year old toy poodle has struggled with his teeth for a few years now. He’s had to undergo multiple extractions, leaving him with less teeth than I’d like him to have, unfortunately. For a while, it seemed that kibble was a thing of the past, and switched exclusively to fresh pet. I can tell he misses the crunchy food, though, as he’s used to grazing for a few bites of it here and there throughout the day, which we just can’t do with the fresh pet. He loves it. The kibble bits are small, and not too hard (easily softened with a bit of water if necessary) and easy for him to chew. He cleaned his plate as soon as I set it down. I think we are both very happy with my purchase haha! Definitely recommend to anyone with a dog that’s got sensitive teeth.

Good dry food with many benefits for senior dogs!

I feed this to my 12-year-old male Pomeranian, who has joint pain from old age, a hip surgery, and a knee surgery. I do feel like the omega-3 and omega-6 fatty acids from fish oils help with his joint pain and stiffness, but I do give him a daily fish oil supplement as well as a glucosamine supplement. I think the fish oil does give it a slightly bad smell, but he seems to think it smells delicious (so does my other dog, so I have to constantly keep an eye on them to make sure the other dog is not trying to take his food from him), so maybe the smelliness is actually a good thing, haha! He also has many missing teeth, but I feel like the small size of the kibble is easy for him to chew and eat. I choose to feed my dog Science Diet, as a former veterinary assistant, because I know it is one of the few foods that has actually been clinically tested on dogs to ensure that it is safe, healthy, and effective for them to eat long-term.

Great Customer Service At Chewy, Not So Much For Delivery

Order was easy on Chewy's website with the dog food and bag size available for purchase. In comparison, my finicky cocker spaniel enjoys the Adult 11+ Dog food better than the others to include other options by Hill's Science. Others, she would walk away and stare at the bowl until I provide another option. I do not know if she can read text or understands pictures on the bag, she regain enjoying her food again. Maybe she realizes that there is a picture of a cocker spaniel on the bag and it was meant for her. Only if my dog can speak to us. The complaint on the order is that the delivery was made after 10PM at night. Already asleep from the long day, I did not notice the delivery until 5AM following morning. Loved It Before Formula Change August 2023

Loved original formula, but couldn't tolerate the FORUMLA CHANGE in August 2023. My 16-year-old cocker spaniel was doing great on this formula until the last bag I bought 8/23. She became restless and gave signs that her stomach was hurting. I checked her bag of new food and noticed some significant changes were made. A rival pet site showed that the formula was changing, and I had the new bag. Among other changes, the new formula added whole grain corn, brought brown rice up in the ingredient list, and pushed cracked barley down the list. Those changes were enough to cause my doggie intestinal problems, and I had to give up on this formula. Since my girl only has two teeth left, she can easily eat the soft small bits.

My Dog Loves It!

I have a 14 year old 25lb mixed breed dog (small poodle, Chihuahua, Pekinese, Russell terrier mix) and she is missing some teeth now. The food is the perfect small size to give her a little something crunchy and she loves the taste of it. I mix this with some canned food in the morning and then she gets a small snack of just the dry food in the evening. She eats this dry food like it's a treat. I have to stop my cats from trying to take it away from her because even they like the taste. Nice calorie count too in this food since it's important to keep her weight in check since she's not as active anymore.

Revaltalizing!

My senior chihuahua lady seems very rejuvenated after beginning this diet. Seems to have more energy and she absolutely LOVES this food. There was no upset stomach or stool problems while transitioning to this from her former food. Would highly recommend. I enjoy seeing her with more zest and vigor. Also filled out a bit as she was too thin prior to this food.

Saved my little 10 year old starving rescue Yorkie

This abandoned maybe 10 yo no-microchip Yorkie who’d roamed the streets for months would not eat. Anything. Kept in a public shelter double-wide crate for 2 more months, he simply would not eat. Until I put 1/4 cup of this kibble down. He’s been eating, regrowing hair and charming everyone around him in the two weeks he’s gotten this. It’s the closest miracle food for senior dogs I’ve seen. Even with very bad teeth soon to be cleaned, he is able to eat this tiny kibble. Worth every penny.

This brand of food has helped keep my dogs alive for a long time

I have 3 old healthy dogs. They have eaten this brand of food for their entire lives. Over the past 5 years or so, I mix their Hill's Science Diet hard food with Hill's soft dog food or boiled chicken from the butcher. Because eating hard dog food, every day, gets boring. But they gobble it up. This small and mini food is easier for old dogs to eat.
