Great build quality and articulate sound production from these planar driver monitors.

This thing of beauty makes u listen to a soundtrack the way it is meant to be heard. The sound stage is great and the ability to pick the faintest of sound in a music track is just astonishing !. AE stands out most in tracks with vocals in focus, tracks with many instruments like an orchestra, spatial audio tracks and ost's . The bass boost is significant in comparison to the original timeless and it added that extra fun the timeless seemed to miss. Although I am still breaking them in, my initial impression is good. I am wary of products that go overboard with packaging, as it usually signifies trying to offset a weak product. The Timeless AE packaging and included accessories are over the top. But, these IEMs perform well and are worthy of consideration, provided it aligns with your musical preferences.I find the Timeless AE tuned toward low frequencies more than most and odd for anything planar magnetic (I own four Planar Magnetic headphones). I prefer a neutral, accurate reproduction, which the Tieless AE can provide for certain tracks.The sound is powerful and dynamic with rock, rap, and big symphonies (I drove mine with a Hifiman EF400 DAC/AMP). Progressive and traditional Jazz, vocals, and light classical listening gave me a headache- the Timeless AE is simply too bass-intensive. Even modern electric jazz arrangements seemed less natural than with my headphones.The best impression came when my test mix hit upon a big, brassy John Williams movie score, and the Timeless AE shined throughout it.My only other observation is the cable is very short and incredibly brittle. Perhaps the engineers at 7HZ had only portable AMP usage in mind. I'll be testing the Timeless AE with the Ifi IDSD portable next. We'll see.Lastly, the Timeless AE looks great. The larger disk containing the driver is more easily visible and the blue color is very distinctive.All told, I am pleased thus far and looking forward to charting how they change over time.
