Excellent condition, excellent product

For retro gaming, this is great addition to the collection. Has all the functionality of a PS or XBOX controller but in SNES form factor. I did receive the controller with the button colours as per UK SNES which didn't match the photo but thankfully that's what I was originally looking for but couldn't find anywhere, bonus for me but be warned if you want the one advertised.I dropped a star as I was hoping to use it for all my gaming but I find myself going back to the XBOX controller as it's more comfortable. The 8BITDO does look a lot better on the coffee table however.Thoroughly recommended if you like cool stuff, excellent build quality and was easy to pair with my Nvidia shield via Bluetooth. Excellent on-the-go wireless controller

I have owned and used a few of these controllers for a few years now, and I honestly love them. It is the perfect on-the-go controller. The small size makes it easy to stuff into a bag and carry around. I use it mostly with my laptop when I am away from home. The buttons, dpad, and analog sticks all feel great and very precise. It's not the most comfortable controller due to it being small and lacking grips, but I can still use it for a couple hours at a time without getting too uncomfortable. However, the main reason you buy this controller is for the small size and nostalgia, not the comfort. Overall, its a great, high quality controller by 8bitdo that I enjoy using very much.

Greater condition than I expected, but wrong model

Ordered this (SF30) a second time because I got the wrong colour when ordering the SN30. I wanted the one with the purple buttons like in the picture, but received the classic version with the maroon buttons. I was banking on receiving either the one in the photo or the one with the multi colour buttons like some of the other reviews. Seems as though the guys packing the product in the warehouse don't actually look at the order properly and just grab any SN30 controller. Still works great and came in a proper box, but still technically not what I ordered. Giving up and just keeping what I received.

[Rewarded Review] Great Gamepad

This is a great gamepad it feels like the old super nintendo gamepad. It works great for retro games. It works on Batocera, RetroArch, and other emulators on PC with no problems. The game pad have a "Turbo" button below the d-pad that can not be mapped and another small button below the B button that can be mapped for "hot-key". The turbo button works pretty good in games like for example snes Final Fight. If the "Y" button is selected to work on turbo mode which is the punch button in final fight if you keep it pressed it will throw punches as fast as possible while the Y button is pressed. If the Y button is not in turbo, for every punch you want to throw you have to press the button. I dont see any negatives in this pad. I own two of these. They are, hands down, one of the best portable gamepads I've ever used. They're small enough to just throw in a backpack, they connect to just about everything, and the buttons and sticks are all great. AND it's close enough to the original SNES controller for all that old Mario muscle memory to kick in when you're playing retro games.Things to keep in mind though:-This works on PC, Android, iOS, and the Switch. But that's it. It's not going to work on other consoles, due to it not having the required security chips.-While I endorse using it as a portable gamepad, it's not necessarily optimized for that. Though on the plus side, the full sized sticks are really nice and even after years of abuse my original controller looks and works just like it did when it was new.-Unlike pretty much every other peripheral maker on the market, 8BitDo really doesn't push their software on you. To the point that it's easy to overlook that it even exists. It does, and if you want to do any significant customization or button mapping, you'll want to use it. There are a lot of options to be had.-Unlike many other mobile-focused controllers, there is not an included clip to hold your phone. That's a separate accessory, and it does add significantly to the bulk. Still worth it in my opinion, but if that's what you plan to use this for you may want to plan for it.

Maybe 5 months of very occasional use with some emulators or steam games and the left stick cuts out to the point its mostly useless. The buttons still feel brand new, but the left stick sensors already broke. All forward/up angles cut out or fail to read, it worked alright for what it was at first but just the other day noticed angular movement was causing weird movement bugs/stopping then ultimately stopped reading most general input. The sensors are also more or less 0 to 100% input, I don't suggest this controller for shooters with the sticks having 100% output after maybe 25% stick lean. It has no proper sensitivity for the more pinpoint movements.Pro's- The D-pad/all buttons are still fine and feel responsive no lag or input issues.
