Keep in mind, this has primary support platforms only for Windows and Nintendo Switch, but you can also use it on any BT device, just you won't get the extra feature like controller profiles. Another thing, it has a gyro feature but only for Nintendo Switch, but you can utilize it in Windows via bluetooth mode and use it on any games using steam input or ds4Windows. Other than that, it is a great product considering its price, build quality, and features.

Great controller, amazing company. 8Bitdo makes THE best retro inspired controllers and they made a great non-retro controller with this one. The fact it comes WITH a charging dock is amazing! Always be charged up and ready to game!I use this on my pc with the included 2.4g dongle and the experience has been great with one hiccup. The dongles signal can get muddied up if you have a lot of other 2.4g connections super close. I had it plugged in very close to my wifi router and was getting interruptions with the connection of the controller. So i moved it and its been flawless ever since

A Switch pro controller with analog triggers

I specifically chose this controller because it has analog triggers. Most Nintendo Switch pro controllers including the official one made by Nintendo have digital triggers. The game I am playing has airplanes and helicopters and they do not function as intended with digital triggers. Setup was easy. Just plug a usb C cable from the controller to the Switch (not the dock) itself and it paired instantly. A lot simpler than doing it through the Switch settings menu. Once I got it set up I tested it out in my game and everything worked fine. What a lifesaver and well worth the price. The overall quality is great. The d pad is a little stiff but it does the job. GREAT Pro Controller option for Swtich or PC.

Was looking for a GOOD wireless pro controller (back paddle buttons) for my Switch AND pc, and boy did it deliver.It feels premium and good in the hands. Comes with a charger so you never have to change batteries (though this is not something I am against). The sticks use the hall effect sticks so there will never or less chance of stick drift compared to all the older sticks. And like I said, it has back paddle buttons. I've found no issues charging off PC USB (3.2 gen 1).My only issue with the controller build is the shoulder bumpers rattle quite a bit. If these were face buttons I'd be worried about the getting stuck, but I don't expect bumpers are prone to that. Everything else seems very built, the things that should be smooth are smooth, things that should be crisp are crisp. Vibration is strong, I have it turned all the way down in the controller configuration and in my games and it's still noticable. It's a slower rumble, not buzzy.Reconnection to 2.4GHz when waking the controller is a tad slow, compared to say a Dualsense using Bluetooth. But it not too big a deal. I haven't done any marathon gaming on it, so can't say if the battery life claim is accurate, but it's certainly had no issues for a few hours at a time. However, I can't figure out how to really check the battery level besides a low, charging, or fully charged LED. So far as I can tell it's not reported to Windows, perhaps it is on the Switch.The documentation isn't amazing. But usage is relatively intuitive. And given the price point, I don't expect a dedicated team making regionalized translations.There is a replaceable button set available from the manufacturer to get X-Box button configuration, with shipping to US it's about $10, but may take awhile to arrive. Given the one that comes with Xbox buttons uses potentiometer sticks, it's definitely worth getting this version for PC.

Great for travelling with multiple devices

I picked up a handheld gaming PC, and I was about to link my series S controller to it for max compatibility, but then I was thinking, do I really want to have to keep changing the sync every time I swap between desktop, handheld, and console? I was also going to be travelling with my Switch, and didn't want to have to bring a controller for that as well. I also have recently been experiencing some drift with a couple controllers due to the way they are constructed.Welp, all problems were solved with this controller. Since the dongle is in the dock, no matter what device it's plugged into, handheld (with it's own dock) or desktop, it gets recognized as an industry standard x-input controller. The only thing I have to remember is when I'm on PC, that the buttons are labeled wrong, but that's something that Steam can fix if the game supports it.I grabbed this not only to make my life more convenient when travelling, but also for the hall effect sensor joystick technology. Shelling out over a half-yard, even upwards of a c-note on some, is not unheard of, and doing such on a controller with inferior tech that is destined for eventual joystick drift is such a waste of money to me. Since the tech in this controller can mitigate deterioration of that sort, it was obvious to me where to throw my shekels.The controller itself is comfortable to hold. I get confused as to which of the middle buttons does what, but that's on me since I swap between devices so often.

I'm glad I got this controller. It has almost no issues on PC using the 2.4 GHz radio - it connects instantly. The dock is pretty nice to charge as well.I have had the occasional issue where the joysticks would start drifting? But only on 2.4 GHz radio, and only on my laptop. I'd suddenly be unable to move upwards because it believed I was holding it downwards. I haven't noticed this occur on my desktop though, so it might be a software issue on my laptop. This was also not always the case, and using Bluetooth or USB fixed the problem instantly (which means the joysticks themselves weren't drifting).There's an official app that allows you to change button mappings, add profiles, calibrate, and other things. The only downside is that pairing can sometimes take a tiny bit, and any time the controller popup opens on the Switch, the controller disconnects and turns off.It unfortunately doesn't come with a case though. I bought the official 8BitDo case on some outlet, and that one is fairly simple but works well enough for my needs. That is separate from this product though.
