I love this series despite reading all the horrible reviews before hand. I’m so thankful I took a chance. Book 3 is great. Also note this series has some real juicy “ love scenes” I love how smj expanded on every characters issues and growth. I couldn’t put it down. Plus the “sassy scenes!” Lord give me one of the bat boys any day! You aren’t left wondering about characters and where they stand by the end of the book. The only downside and issue I have is the war itself. The characters work so hard to get ready and go to war. They give everything they have, but the death of king though I didn’t see it coming felt rushed. So much build and in like what 60 pages the war is over and we are moving forward. I felt like it should’ve had a little more to it. Lucien ... MoreI love this series despite reading all the horrible reviews before hand. I’m so thankful I took a chance. Book 3 is great. Also note : ignore reviews stating how poorly tamlin is treated. For one in this book he has some personal reflection. He saves freye and comes to their aid in war. He also saves Rhys and states he only wishes for her happiness. There is hope for him. He isn’t a main character after book 1, but she does an amazing job of not leaving you wondering about him.

Will recommend these books until the day I die. As an avid reader it’s not always that you’ll find a book that will leave you with a book hangover and with so much feeling that you want to explode. This series does that. I have reread it multiple times and it is probably one of my absolute favorite series I have ever read or will ever read.

I read this whole series in less than a month. I have so many questions, so much has been left unanswered. It honestly began to fuel my live for reading again and I’m now onto the crescent city series. I read the entire series in 27 days. That’s 2,580+ pages in a month. I haven’t found a series I’ve liked that much since like 9th grade. I think I may start the series all over again lol

Wow 🤩 Absolutely in awe with this series, this book had everything, had me guessing all the way through with what was going to happen, had me smiling, laughing it even had me holding my heart or breath and I willingly accepted it all. Sarah is an incredible writer and this series just proves she grabs you from the beginning and keeps pulling you in, no matter what you thought was coming, she come in and twist it. I have throughly enjoy getting to know each and every character and I can’t wait to see what comes next. I highly recommend this series if you haven’t already, so many different emotions going on that this is definitely a reread for me in the future.

4.5 Stars - Originally reviewed on Just Me My Books. Taken back to the Spring Court, Feyre plans to not only get revenge on Tamlin and Ianthe for bringing here sisters into the war against Hybern, but also gather information on Tamlin's association with its King. She plans on bringing down the court from the inside and show the people that Tamlin and his High Priestess cannot be trusted, especially when Tamlin is making deals with the enemy and granting them access to the Wall. With war raging in the mortal lands, the Night Court and it's allies must fight against a much larger army in order to protect not only themselves but the humans on their land. Destroying the Cauldron is the only way Hybern will be defeated, and it's a race against the clock to uncover how to do it.

Bought this and the rest of the series. The paperbacks are all about the same height thankfully. Only weird thing is that Wings and Ruin is in white while the other book titles are in yellow. Kind of throws off the vibe but that’s my only complaint

NOT ABOUT THE BOOK CONTENT but quality of purchase
6 January 2023

The book was in okay condition, however, it was advertised as new and it definitely was not new. It has scratches, dents, and marker on the pages and cover. If it was advertised as gently used that would have been one thing but it wasn’t even marked as like new. I am glad I found the original cover, I’m just disappointed because it is not the quality I paid for. Compared to prices from resellers it’s definitely a lot cheaper, so if you want a slightly used copy, it’s probably worth it. Just lower your expectations in quality.

This is quite possibly the best book I have ever read. I have enjoyed the ACOTAR series so much, and every single book has been filled with so much detail. This book was SO intricate though. I felt like I got to see more of an insight into the characters, and I absolutely loved seeing the development between Feyre and Rhys. Their love story is one that I find myself comparing to every single other book I read. I constantly compare the characters to characters in other books and they never seem to even compare. Sarah does such a wonderful job building the world and the elements for this story. I really felt like I was going to war with them, and I found myself not breathing at some of the parts, just in suspense! Amazing. Altering. Superb. This is not a 5 star book

The plot meanders. Character motivations are inconsistent. There are so many wasted opportunities in regards to scenes that didn't play out on the page or were just entirely avoided. Plot lines are cut short. Things are revealed for the sake of shock value and then never resolved. There are often no consequences to characters dumb/legit awful actions when there absolutely should be. The main characters are put on this pedestal where everything they do is acceptable. The worst of all, some of the characters get completely screwed over. This is not a 5-star book. But I am absolutely giving it 5 stars. To give it any less would be a betrayal of myself.
