The sleek and slim Carbonator III from Aarke gives you instant and refreshing sparkling water at home in an elegant design made of durable stainless steel. The lever gives you a controlled release of pressure within the bottle. The metal and plastic components of the water bottle are easy to separate making it possible to recycle at the end of its lifetime. The bottle is made of BPA-free and non-toxic PET plastic and is a stylish design for your countertop, dinner table or to take with you in a bag. This Aarke home water carbonator is compatible with CO2 cylinders from Sodastream, AGA, Linde and many other 425g / 60-litre cylinders for sparkling water makers. Good to know: Gas cylinder not included.

Was soooo looking forward to this, especially since it’s so BEAUTIFUL and we love sparkling water. If you like carbonated water and cannot drink it once it’s been sitting out for a couple hour, skip this. The bubbles are sooooo faint even after using 8 pumps of carbonation. Nothing like Pellegrino, Perrier, bubbly, etc. and before other reviewers come for me, yes - I unscrewed the bottle, re-screwed, and continued to add carbonation to no avail. I’m so disappointed.

I have purchased this item and also a spare PET bottle. The problem is that the bottles are made of plastic which has a limited life presumably because of the pressure. Aarke tell me that they strive to give a shelf life on the bottles of 24 months. Both the one l received with the carbonator and the spare l purchased have a use by date on them. Both give me 10 months. Given that the price of the bottles is £18.99 l am rather put out by this. I think it would have been more worthwhile for me to stretch to the Pro model which has a glass bottle and no use by date.

I originally had the popular competitor's product. It lasted almost 2 years but eventually started leaking and the only option appeared to be to replace the unit. It is now plastic waste I wanted to avoid creating when I bought it.This product is significantly pricier, however it is stainless steel, and the bottle screws in, so the only moving part is the lever to carbonate the water. Fewer moving parts = fewer things to fail.It is a solid piece of equipment that really feels like it will last a LOT longer than the comparatively flimsy plastic of the competing product. It even comes with a spare rubber gasket/ring which is the part that can wear out most quickly. So instead of the planned obsolescence after 2 years that the competition seems to embrace, I'm ... It arrived on time and in appropriate packaging to protect the product. Definitely satisfied with their service as well.
Perfect bubbles, very strong stream, great design. I have to say that it's been a must to choose this product due to the design that is far away from the competition. I was very worried about the functionality as, you know, pretty does not mean that it'works great. But this product have both. I also need to say that I very appreciate the Aarke support, we had an issue with the product that has been resolved in a while during e-mail communication. I am glad that we have decided for this brand 👍
We LOVE THIS and use it daily. I am blown away by other poor reviews - the Aarke is beautiful, has a small footprint and zero cords. This is very very simple to use, and has the perfect amount of sparkle. We use soda stream co2 as they’re more accessible than the aarke ones. Other sparkling water makers are an eye sore, and cheap. If you’re an annoying millennial that wants something functional AND beautiful this is it girlies.
A lot of things to love about this new machine which was a replacement for a (leaking?) Soda Stream Penguin that I had for many years and used almost every day. I picked out the black matt which goes well with my kitchen decor as it will permanently sit on my bar countertop. I really like: - that the handle to activate the carbonation is a substantial stainless with good positioning on the unit (very solid not flimsy) - that the cartridge slips up into the housing from the bottom giving a sleek look to the unit - that the stem that shoots the carbonation seems to be solid stainless steel - that there is a metal baseplate under to catch any overflow (none so far) - that after carbonation is complete the unit emits a certain pitch and then releases the excess ... Though the plastic BPA free bottle is substantial and has a very nice stainless screw on lid, it SHOULD BE GLASS. The other thing that's annoying is having to line up and screw in the bottle. Seems like smart engineers would be able to come up with a different attachment solution. This was a very good pick and I highly recommend it. .
I drink bubble water daily... This machine is not just modern and stylish but amazing. I couldn't recommend it more. The reviews that say you can't pump more than 3xs, didn't read the instructions! (Typically of people today) Clearly instructions state 3 pumps max, which gives you the most amount of bubbles needed. If you do a quick unscrew of the bottle and re-screw it, you can get more bubbles - but it's a waste of cO2 in my opinion. I highly recommend this machine for fashion and function!
We've had this working in our home for a bit under 2 months now and are still quite impressed. We love that it is mostly metal, super simple to use, has a very small footprint, is actually attractive on your countertop or in your bar, and doesn't need to be plugged in. We actually tried to tally just how many uses we were able to get out of the first cartridge we purchased and we believe we actually got more than 120 cans out of it - based on only 2 pulls per bottle (we don't feel the need for a third pull and honestly never tried only one lol) That's not an exact science by any means, and that cartridge may have just been a winning fluke - we'll see as we are tallying our 2nd cartridge now... but knowing that we are getting 120 can out of a $15 refillable cartridge ... And we are no longer contributing to the recycling issues or adding to landfills because we are able to reduce our usage of aluminum with this little marvel!I just truly hope that it lasts for a very long time, can't see why it wouldn't, unless something with the pull lever itself fails... but only time will tell. I feel quite good in telling everyone to go ahead and purchase this if you like reducing your footprint while loving as much carbonated water as you can handle!
The carbonator works well. I would have liked to get the one that you dont have to twist in but it wasnt available at the time. I also think the premium paid for that feature is a bit high to replace my current one as it is still functioning as expected. My issue is with the bottles. The fill line is rubbing away. This is a pretty important line. Its a pain if you have to guess how high till fill it because you keep having to make adjustments after each time you screw the bottle in to the carbonator. Also there is some discoloration forming on the inside of my cap. It looks to be between the outer plastic and some sort of coating. Its a brownish color. I'm not sure if it is rust but it shouldnt be there on a bottle at this price point. I have a feel that the coating ... MoreThe carbonator works well. I have a feel that the coating it meant to make screwing it in smoother and it just didnt adhere to the cap very well so something is able to get in between. Maybe its bacteria as rust shouldnt be an issue here.
