First, let me thank you for the well packaged, speedy delivery of this rod! Matched with a Daiwa Emcast 5000 Sport reel, I headed down to the water at Taylors Beach Qld with a dozen live herring. After a short time, I was into a good sized golden trevally that finally went 72cm.With plenty of line to play with, this rod handled the job perfectly!Very pleased with the purchase! ( the rod is also quite easy to see at night! )Happy customer.

Extremely light but also super strong and can feel the smallest of bites.Great fun even on the smallest of fish.Went out to lake Macquarie with a mate back in July and caught some squid and bream which were unfortunately not quite legal size but still had a bloody ball with this rod which i bought to go with my small baitcasting reel.I was happy to catch the smaller fish and squid all day and can"t wait to get a good size fish on which i know i can be confident it has plenty of power to bring in any fish in that i will catch
The veritas range is absolutely awesome however the three piece i bought was a bit of a mystery. The three piece rod had a very visible bow in it. I really liked the idea of this rod because i could keep it in my car out of the way of my wife’s eye and ear shot giving me the flexibility to have a fish on the run type thing. While the missus is shopping lol. I would certainly like to get another one.
Great rod. Running with a Stradic 5000 with 8 kg braid. 2 days after purchase hooked up on a 16 kg Golden Trevally on sand flats off Fraser. 25 minutes later had fish landed, photos and fish released. This rod could of easily caught a fish twice the size. Great action, good for bait and jigging.
I’ve been using the 5-9kg (medium-heavy) one piece for quite a while now, anything from casting metals to bottom bashing for snapper and jewies, it does it all perfectly, a great rod you can cast with for hours, very responsive, and has plenty of grunt to dish out the hurt. Highly recommend it!
A nice light rod yet strong and responsive. I am using this mainly for soft plastics chasing Snapper, Kingfish, etc in the washes. It casts directly .
This rod is an absolute belter. Was absolutely high sticking this thing in king ash bay and landing big cod monster. Took a beating like a champ
I had four VERITAS Rods, six months ago while landing a cod about 5kg my VRS6615PH 6ft 6in one piece rod snapped 150mm above the second guide, I put this down to bad luck and went and purchased aVRT3.5 701XH 7ft extra heavy 8-15 kg one piece rod. While landing a Cobia about 8kg the rod snapped 150mm above the second guide. Only two to go. I love the feel of these Rods, that's why I bought four of them, but the last rod was brand new, fourth fish caught. I have been fishing for 50 years and have only managed to break one other rod, a bait caster on a large Barra in NQLD, I will not be replacing this rod with a Viritas.
