I have purchased my second cooling unit for a second home theater receiver that is used regularly, and replaced the 2 120mm fans that I had been using. This device works best when it is placed directly above the heat sink of the power amp, and hopefully will extend the life of the equipment. I recommend cleaning these units at least once a year to keep dust accumulation to a minimum. I would also like for the price point to ease back to around $30 so more folks can take advantage of its benefits.

My Spectrum STB runs crazy hot - have observed odd behaviors we thought might be associated with temperature. Bought an S7, placed it on top of the STB, and problem solved. STB is running much cooler now, and the strange issues we were seeing are all but gone. This smaller 2-fan size is perfect for STB's, probably even good enough for a large AVR as this thing can pull a lot of air. As others have noted, for Auto and Smart modes you manually choose the fan's top speed. I chose Level 2 (out of 4) because Levels 3 and 4 are definitely audible from a distance. Using Smart mode, the fan is PWM controlled and runs as fast as it thinks it needs to, up to Level 2 (in my case). As soon as I opened the box I could see the quality. Every setting works perfect. It sits atop my Denon AVR-S970H and keeps it nice and cool. I use the auto settings to manage any heat my receiver might produce and the fans shut down to save energy. I had to turn off the fan gauge because it is BRIGHT when watching tv in a darkened room. Reasonably priced and highly recommended.

I have had this fan for only a ew days so far, but it works perfectly for what I am using it for. We live in our Fifth wheel RV. This fan sits on top of our DISH satellite receiver to keep it cool. Before retirement, I was a firmware engineer and so I always like products that have great designs, and this is one of them. The controls are easy to use and very intuitive. The different modes of this model are perfect for a variety of situations. I am using it in "smart mode", which lets the device turn on and off as needed and also control fan speed as needed.I highly recommend this product to anyone needing to keep a component cool, which will prolong the life of the electronics.

So the Yamaha is probably on 15+ hours during the day / evening, meaning it's generating a lot of internal heat way above 88-degrees F. Well, not anymore with my Aircom S7 installed! Yes, I'm a very satisfied customer!!! :-)It's nice to have such a nicely designed quality fan accessory product that works efficiently and quietly. This is a nice piece.I have it on a large Onkyo HTR in a cabinet. Cabinet isnt actually "excised" but its still an enclosure (more like an open rack).The Onkyo is noted to have heat issues and this was a preventative measure.Seems to be working as designed.This is a sturdy, heavy well made piece.I woudnt put it in a road rack and go on tour but for home theatre use its really nice.
The S7 does it’s job automatically. It turns itself on and adjust fan speed so you can set it up and forget about. It will do its job perfectly. I’m now wanting to get another one for my cable box which runs hot and causes problem. What a great product for a more than reasonable price.
my Denon Home Theater Receiver gets so hot that I can't believe a fire hasn't started yet. No longer something I have to worry about because this thing works great. It automatically comes on when the temp gets warm enough and at speed setting number 2 I don't even notice it at typical volume levels. If it lasts for two years or more then thumbs up from me.
Added one to the top of my class A amp. It only runs when it needs to and when it does it keeps it noticeably cooler. Not only does it work well but it looks classy, way better than any other fans I've seen. The build quality seems to be quite high. I've got two different AC Infinity fans so far and am looking at adding more. They are affordable, quiet and only turn on when you need them, hard to beat that.
You will not find better for your electronics cooling. Has a 4 speed fan that can be used manually, or automatically. You can set the maximum allowable fan speed on the automatic mode.
