We needed to replace the stagnant humidity in a small room under our staircase ( our grand children call it Harry Potter’s bedroom) buying online is always a hit and miss as lay people don’t understand all the technical jargon. When the fan arrived I was pleasantly surprise, it’s big enough for our job and very sturdy / well made. We easily installed it in a wall that expels the air to under the house. We were able to disconnect the louvers and turn them upside down as we needed the wiring to be at the top. The louvres are a great idea to stop vermin from entering through the fan. The control panel was a little difficult to understand, you really need to read the instructions a couple of times. The fan does make some noise but no more than our fridge. Basically, we ... Basically, we don’t need to pay attention to the fan operation once the controller is set to our specific needs, it comes on and goes off as needed. We can see the humidity level and temperature in the room from the control panel which we were able to place on the exterior of the room due to the long cord. Pros :good quality works well Cons: control panel not user friendly, will need to read the instructions every time because, once you set your specific needs, there is no need to touch it again unless your requirements change.

I ordered the airlift T10, to help cool my garage. I installed a gable vent at one end, and the fan at the other. It works exactly like i wanted. It is extremely quiet, with more options than I needed. I use it toward the evening, and set it to cool to 70 degrees. My garage is uninsulated, but gets hot during the day and stays hot. This is a great way to create airflow, And works exactly like i hoped.

The fan works great and is easy to program. However the shutter end of the fan only extends about 2 inches into the wall. So if you're installing on a standard thickness exterior wall, you will need a separate exterior vent to install on the exterior side of the wall. Although the shutter slats are removable, there is no frame around them so they are not suitable for installation on the exterior wall unless you build a frame for them.

No wonder this thing is always out of stock. If you want to get it you should order it on the exact day it comes back in stock. This fan cleans the air in my 10x12 shed in minutes. It makes 85 degrees feel comfortable. Literally pulls the smoke out of my mouth before I fully exhale. It’s awesome. And then you can’t smell anything afterwards. The air feels totally breathable through both nostrils. And I can set to go on automatically when it reaches a certain temperature and then it’ll shut off when it reaches a low temperature setting. Looks really nice and high tech too. If you’re looking for a shutter fan just get this one. I haven’t even used it past level 7 yet. These fans are among the nicest I've used. I really love the build quality and the smooth quiet operation. I only have 2 complaints about them. 1. the controller on these fans does not work like the Controller 2 sold by AC infinity for their cabinet fans... and that is really too bad. Because the way the controller on these fans work, you can't really make good use of the temperature probe. All of the advanced sensing is useless because in the end, the controller just acts as an on/off switch. It does not ramp up the fan speed proportionately to the temperature. Having it turn on and off every 2 minutes is not a useful feature. And if the fan is set to a high speed, this can be disruptive to have a super powerful fan turning on and off every few minutes. Having it turn on and off every 2 minutes is not a useful feature. And if the fan is set to a high speed, this can be disruptive to have a super powerful fan turning on and off every few minutes. We now just leave it on all the time, and manually adjust the speed. It's so far from ideal. And it's a waste of power. The way the Controller 2 works, is the way these need to work. otherwise the digital controller is a complete waste of money. Please release new firmware for the controller or a controller 2 for the larger fans. 2. The cords are super long. This may be a benefit for some, but I would prefer it if the cords had plugs on the fan end as well, so you could use whatever length cord you wanted. Having a large bundle of extra cable is unsightly and a little sloppy.
It was apparent as soon as I opened the box this was a well made, well engineered product. I'm not saying that everything that comes from off shore is junk, and not everything made in the US is great, but I repeat this is well made and well engineered. I bought it to ventilate a small green house so wanted the thermostat control. It was easy to install in a plywood panel I cut to replace a small side window. I'll take the whole thing, panel and fan as one part, out for the winter as it will definitely let too much cold air in and it will be easier than building an insulated cover to fit over it. My only negative would have been that it would have been nice if it was offered in white as well as black for the exterior. Although it wasn't a big deal to use the fan ... My only negative would have been that it would have been nice if it was offered in white as well as black for the exterior. Although it wasn't a big deal to use the fan itself for a pattern to mark the holes to be cut and drilled, a paper template could be included which would make installation even easier. It still gets a 5 star rating at this point. Since I just installed it, I can't speak to it's long term reliability, but if initial quality is an indicator, I expect it to be trouble free, after all it's only a fan with a controller.
This is a quality piece of equipment. The packaging was excellent and the installation was straight forward and relatively easy. Programing of the controller was easy including setting the parameters for both temperature and humidity control. The fan is quiet and the shutters gently open and close. The shutters also have a rubber trim on the edges for silent closing. Solid engineering throughout.
Very well made fan for smaller greenhouses. Mine is about 15 x 10 x 10. It's hard to find quality fans of that CFM range but this one does it. Take your time reading about the fan settings, at first they may seem complicated but they aren't. Nice long cords. This fan doesn't waste as much electricity as a too small unit. It gradually increases and decreases speed to get where it needs to be.
The fan was installed by an electrician yesterday. It was easy to program (once you read the manual) and seems to be working well. However, there are two problems that buyers should be aware of. The louvers do not fit snugly. You can see daylight on either side when they are in the fully closed position. My electrician is going to have to have a sheet metal protective cover made so that rain will not be able to come in the house if there is a heavy sideways rain. The second problem is that the connecting cord to the digital control is only about 2 1/2 feet long. The place that my second fan is going is not easily accessible and with that cord, I will not be able to access the controls. Being aware of this potential problem, I had called customer service before I ... MoreThe fan was installed by an electrician yesterday. The place that my second fan is going is not easily accessible and with that cord, I will not be able to access the controls. Being aware of this potential problem, I had called customer service before I purchased this model fan and was told that it came with a remote control so that I would be able to change the fan settings from a distance. Actually, the two models have different controls. The one I ordered (T) has the wired digital control with the short cord that has programmable settings. It does not have a remote control. The other model (S) has a remote control that changes the fan speed but does not have automatic settings. To solve the problem I will have to find a 4 pin connecting cable that is long enough to install the controls at a place I will be able to reach it.
This louver fan combination is easy to install and really works in exhausting hot attic air. I installed this in a garage to reduce heat. The remote sensor that monitors temperature is a nice feature. I set mine to the automatic feature that turns on when it gets over a certain heat range. It comes with a electrical cord that plugs into a standard electrical plug outlet.
