This was a fairly easy to assemble kit. Some of the details are a little off, but when built it is only about 10" long. The only sails included are the basic rigging sails, not the extra long yard arm sails. With the right tools, patience, and know how, this could end up being an excellent kit.

I thought it would be bigger.
This was a fairly easy to assemble kit. Some of the details are a little off, but when built it is only about 10" long. The only sails included are the basic rigging sails, not the extra long yard arm sails. With the right tools, patience, and know how, this could end up being an excellent kit.
This kept me busy for quite a while. Good detailing. Lots of Fiddly Fun in this kit..! I enjoyed it a lot..!
I am a long-time modeler. Academy model kits tend to be very accurate. Saying that?? This is 1:350 scale. I chose it because I ALSO model Science Fiction Star Ships in the same scale. Reality versus Science Fiction/imagined. I thought it was a great concept. Now?? This kit, BY ITSELF, could be a great parent/child learning project, especially at its price point!! I will tend to add weathering and painting details for added realism, but that's because of my perspective and sense of added realism ethic. AGAIN? This is inexpensive, and a GREAT idea for getting to know modeling basics...WHAT you do to enhance its appearance is totally up to the modeler's imagination and references!!
Just got it. Have not done anything with it yet, but did look at it. It looks cool to build.

Fun to build. Sail lines were tricky to tie due to my inexperience. Quick build.
This is a nice model but the ratline are way out and it's best make your own using cotton
Rope is very difficult but good you need lots of skill for this item
