After a spell in hospital where blood sugar was monitored two or three times a day (large bone fracture affected glucose levels, I was so impressed by procedures as a devout coward where needles are concerned, tracked down the professional unit to Aviva (Roche Diagnostics), decided to buy Aviva test instrument which comes with FastClix finger pricker which is the new model. After fiddling around to draw blood and get the setting right, I would thoroughly recommend the whole system. Monthly checking replaces GP annual check.
Bought these & a pricker, to use on my dog, as the useless pricker device I got with an Alpha trek 2 kit, the needle never came out, even on the highest setting.

I was unhappy with the item as the description was misleading and did not mention you needed to purchase other items. As being a new diagnosed illness more information should be on the packet. The product a nwin a drawer never to be used.
Easy to use product and always in stock in major boots stores
These lancets, used together with the Accu-Chek FastClix mobile testing device provide a very convenient way to monitor blood glucose. I was a first time user, but had no trouble in inserting the lancets and using the device. Buying the 24 lancets means I don't need to order as often so is one less thing to have to remember all the time. The whole system is easily portable and fits neatly into a pocket or handbag.
