Acurite Oven Thermometer

I have a roaster that's 60 years old. I took it to a shop to see if it was still in working condition and it passed. I bought this product because the light that tells you when the temperature has reached the degree you want was not working.I put the thermometer in the roaster and set it at 300 degrees and after a little while I checked the reading on the thermometer and roaster was working perfectly according to the thermometer. Sometimes old is better ten new! I should know I'm 81 years old!

Accurate oven thermometer

Great product to check the accuracy of my oven settings. Found out my oven was 20% low. Now I can cook at the correct temperature.

Easy To Read

I got this particular oven thermometer because the numbers are big and easy to read. I love that it can be either hung below a rack or set upright on a rack. Of course, I am trusting it that it is accurate, but so far nothing seems to have been burnt or undercooked when following a recipe, so I am quite happy with it.

Excellent Unit

It's good looking - well made - and easy to read even through the oven door. Accurate too. Necessary to double check the oven settings - especially when baking breads etc.

It fell apart after one use.

The first use was perfect. Then when using it the second time the glass and metal holding ring fell out. It is a perfect product if you are happy using a broken thermometer.

Not perfect but better than most

The Accurite Stainless Steel Oven Thermometer (Model 00620A2) is a convenient, accurate, in-oven thermometer which is most noteworthy to me for also being highly readable while in use in the oven. Purchasing directly from Accurite makes it a more expensive proposition if you have to pay for shipping as I did. After several months of relatively intensive use in hot ovens, it still remains accurate, easy-to-read and relatively clean. The flexibility to either hang from or rest on an oven rack is also helpful.

Saved a repairman

Our oven was not baking our food goods right under done,Or not to the right bake time. Ordered this thermometer to find out why and found out our oven was way off by almost forty degrees. Out with the owners manual to re caliphate the oven great results. Now we can keep the oven set and check on the temperature very easy to read large numbers and accurate. Very happy done cookies!

Too hard to see

New oven and I am trying to map the hot spots but in order to read the temperature I have to open the oven and pull out the rack. By the time that is done the information is useless. I should have gotten a probe with a digital read out
