Adidas Adilette Aqua Slides in Pink 7
The Adilette debuted in 1970 as a shower slide for the German national football team during the world's biggest match in Mexico before being officially released back in '72. It's been a style mainstay of adidas ever since. These slides stay true to the original look with a contoured footbed and 3-Stripes across the bandage upper.

I ordered Lilac. Love , love, love! True shower shoesâŠThey are one solid piece of molded rubber. Some other styles of Adilettes have attached piece with fabric lining over top of foot. These are so comfortable, no creasing or stretching. Just enough arch support. I wear them constantly around the house, when gardening, errands. Definitely recommend!

Slides are fine, nothing to brag about. They're not super comfortable but my son is happy to wear them. Glad to get them on sale, would not have paid full price for them. I ordered a size 8 and was sent size 11, waaay to big for my son but I took them in store and the super helpful staff at Eastland swapped them over straight away.

I bought these to wear around the house and while these slides are super cute and the cushioned footbed is comfortable, I will no longer be wearing these after owning them for only 5 months. I started to notice bruising across the top of my foot and big toe (where the top and bottom of the band hit on my foot). Sizing up would not have helped because I also ran into an issue with my feet sliding around on the sides and I would roll my ankle a lot. Another thing to note is that the cushioned footbed and underside of the band collect hair like crazy! Iâve got 3 dogs and their hair gets stuck in the cushioned footbed and lining of the band. I would have to use tweezers to get the hairs out, which is tedious and a waste of my time. Odd to say, but these green ones feel thinner and cheap compared to the same I have in the black color. Different process bec. of color or different plant where these green ones are made?Could those factors be the reason these green slides don't feel as comfy as my black ones? The foot bed area feels thinner and cheap. Not as much comfort from cushioning in these.I made the mistake of not trying them on before buying. Since I loved my black pair, I just grabbed these green ones never expecting that there would be a quality difference.
I have these in all sizes for my boys and they love them! We keep buying them in a larger size when they outgrow. The slides are comfortable and do not cause any blisters. They are perfect for summer and for playing sports (the boys use the slides with socks when they have a game or practice before they can put their game shoes on). These slides have a smooth bottom unlike other slides, so no worries about comfort.
I bought these for my daughter as she plays VB and needs something to slip on after changing from her on court only shoes. It took a few good wears to break in she said as has a bit of an arch. She finds them to be more comfortable after some wear. She finds mine to be more comfy as I have the adilette comfort slides. She likes these ones as they are solid pair of slides but if you are looking for more comfort go with the comfort slides.
I bought these to replace my old pair that I have worn for years. They are really comfortable and look good, too. I rarely wear them to shower in, though. I usually wear these to the beach, around the house or around town. Definitely the best line of their sandals imo.
It seems that the mass popularity growth and resulting mass imitation market that was created over the last 30 years or so by the likes of âme too entrantsâ like Nike, Under Armour and others has caused people to use these differently than originally designed for BY ADIDAS ONLY. I played college Soccer and what was âproâ for one year at the time just before the formation of MLS (Major League Soccer) in the US. The first Adilette came in ONE color; navy blue. It was for Soccer players to remove their cleats from sore feet (or to prevent sore feet) and SLIDE our feet, still with two pair of heavy socks on, into them and leave a game, cleats off. As a result, we wore them a half-size or even one size up from that of our cleats. As a result, we wore them a half-size or even one size up from that of our cleats. Among our players on campus many players would be seen wearing them as their main shoes, too. Others seeing them resulted in what also happened (for a handful of years) with Umbro shorts. A Soccer player could not eventually be identified by what someone was wearing. Itâs funny; slides and Umbro shorts âwere OURSâ. Soccer playersâ. We didnât like it, but whatever, we were young. The Adilette became so popular (though nothing close to today) that Adidas came out with a totally new design; the Adilette II. Or Adilette 2. I still have mine, although even in their remaking of so many old/originals designs I have NEVER again found the Adilette 2. Royal blue with the logo in the center top and two screened vents, one on either side of the top. Fast-forward to today and the original Adilette comes in the original navy blue and black. These pictured here are what I wear today. And I think they are a terrific redesign of the original, with a very similar look, though the Adidas name is now on the side and the top materials are different. To be fair, the materials are a little softer and break in better on the original. That said, I think these are terrific and I DO recommend them. If you are a Soccer player OR any athlete who might want to do as I explained, removing your game shoes and âSLIDINGâ your feet, socks on, into these then remember the half-size up rule. They donât come in half sizes, so Iâm referring to someone who might wear, say, a 10.5. You would sure want nothing less than 11. For the same reason of fitting slides to you âsocked feetâ some have even made them with a fold-over Velcro strap on top. That is to close them comfortably over your doubled socks. NOT because it looks âcoolâ.
I absolutely love these sandals. They fit my feet perfectly and are completely comfortable when I walk. I love the contoured feeling under my feet; and the grip of the sole on the floor gives me confidence as I maneuver corners. I have high arches, but the top strap fits nicely on top of my feet. There is a very sturdy shoe hangar included with the slides which will make them easy to store. The deep blue color is beautiful and makes my feet look attractive.
