The plug and play harness has to be the best thing ever invented. Iāve done 3 different installs now and its just so easy to wire up spotlights that i can do it in about 30 minutes. The hardest part is probably running the switch wiring from under the bonnet through to the dash. This is due to the terminals already being crimped onto the wires so you have to push these through the hole too. But its not a big deal. Highly recommend.

Very happy with my recent purchase of 7 inch Domin8r with plug and play harness.Great bright lights and so pleased I never ordered the 9 inch ones. A little disappointed with 4WD Supacentre after sales service when I called them to ask why I cant seem to fit the Hi beam piggy back adaptor. When I advised the representative of my make and model which was Isuzu MUX 2020 he advised me that I needed a different adaptor as my lights were LED"s. He advised me to call STEDI as they stock them and 4WD Supacentre does not. So I asked him you cant help me. Na sorry mate we don't stock that part. So $29.95 plus freight later my good deal of free harness and free freight turned out not so good. Thanks for the good advice. Just maybe 4WD Supercentre should probably stock this ...Ā MoreVery happy with my recent purchase of 7 inch Domin8r with plug and play harness.Great bright lights and so pleased I never ordered the 9 inch ones. Used the plug and play harness, followed directions however using the plug to the back of the light bulb and vehicle light harness doesn't work. It is either wired wrong as no power goes to spotlights when plugged in and blows high beam fuse. Would recommend having an electrician fix the product issue.I hard wired the harness into the vehicle globe plug and works great.

4 stars due to needing to go to an auto-elec to correctly wire up the hi-beam/LED. I had originally needed to pull apart one of the "universal" kit piggy-back plugs due to not matching my vehicle's headlight loom plugs and feed the gutted male/female spades into my vehicle's respective headlight male & female plugs. I then discovered after wiring it up (as per youtube instructions) it worked on both low + high beam. I went to the auto-elec, who binned the piggy-back plug, cut a plug off the switch/LED loom, and tapped directly into my car's hi-beam +ve & -ve wires to get LED to work with highbeam and associated switch. 12" LED however has transformed dusk and night driving for me, 5 stars for the LED alone, it is a must on older vehicles.
SC-CO-9ODLPM01-PLUGNPLAYBought the 9ā lethal spotlights with the plug and play harness wiring 16/09/2022. I know the spotties are great but seriously do not bother with the harness. Complete waste of money and time. They have no information for it and are no help at all.Trying to use them for my 2021 Toyota hilux and the plugs do not fit. Called and now need to order an adaptor kit from STEDI to make these plugs work. You would think they would let you know that the harness doesnāt work on the most common vehicle on the market. Bit silly.
Installed this on my 2012 Hyundai i40 with the trigger connecting to the High Beam (H7 bulb).I'll Note, this kit comes with H4 and HB3? (I think it's HB3) adapters and my car uses H7 lows and H7 Highs. For those installing on direct to H4 / HB3, the hardest part will be drilling a hole in the headlight rear cover for a clean job and cleaning up. It's super straightforward. As for H7 you will need to chop either the H4 or HB3 adapter and hard wire the adapter to the back of your H7's for trigger. This requires some stripper, solder (if you want) and some electrical tape. This requires some basic skills as it isn't plug and play if you have H7 High's. The advantage of chopping is you only need to drill a tiny hole is the headlight back cover to install, which is ...Ā MoreInstalled this on my 2012 Hyundai i40 with the trigger connecting to the High Beam (H7 bulb).I'll Note, this kit comes with H4 and HB3? The advantage of chopping is you only need to drill a tiny hole is the headlight back cover to install, which is super clean and great for an easy watertight fill.My only real criticism is the fact there is no H7 adapters for these kits and there is also a lot of waste if you are just installing a single bar. Might be worth the company looking at a way for the customer to custom the kit, so unneeded wiring, plugs, etc don't go to waste.I am very happy still with my purchase and 2 months on, have had no issues and during inspections I have seen to fraying and any signs of heat damage.Photo shows the kit hides very well in the engine bay. Could of even cleaned the positive and Neg wries up, but they were alittle sort and cbf
I finallly got around to installing my 9ā lethal lights which Iām very happy with however when I bought them with the āNot so smart harnessā I thought that the 2 piggy back adapters that comes with it would fit on my Ford however, THEY DID NOT FIT so I had to figure out how to hard wire it or if you have to pay auto electrician to hard wire for you then you will be looking at $250 plus for them to do it. So remember that, I only paid $150 for the lights which Iām very happy with.Something to consider is:Before you buy lights, make sure that the wire harness fits your car because maybe you could spend $500 on a different branded lights like STEDI and there harness might fit your car obviously you would have to check there harness adapters first
This is a nice kit. The reason I give it 3 stars is because it is supplied with a tub rack which has lights for the back of the vehicle. This kit is meant for driving lights because the only way to get it to work (without heavy modification) is you have to have it connected to the battery twice to get the relay to switch. This is fine for driving lights where you connect the harness to the battery and inline with you headlights so that the spots only work when your head lights are on but for rack mounted work lights facing backwards this is a useless piece of kit that I now have to heavily modify to get it to work for its intended purpose.
Straight out of the box, one of the crimped connector just fell off. So I lost a bit of confidence in the quality of this harness. Repaired it myself rather than wait for a replacement. (Sould not have bothered). After discovering that I would have to remove the wheel guard to access the headlight connectors I then realised that that the supplied plugs would not plug into the connector on my car anyway and even if it did there is not enough room to insert my hand to unplug the headlight connection without more dismantling of equipment under the bonnet. So be aware that if you have a late model vehicle like a Mazda 2 this may not work for you. So now I'm left with having to find an auto sparky to complete the wiring install. Ps: quotes are just shy of $400.š
The harness is good but the supplied adaptor plugs donāt match up with the vehicle I fitted the wiring to.I have the skills to make up the required adaptor myself but many people will find this a problem.Otherwise light works great and gives good illumination for its size. Yet to be tested on a country drive however.
