ADVOCATE CAT 4KG PLUS LARGE 3'S (PURPLE)

Good product and big pack allowed me to flea and worm neighbors cat who was suffering due to neglect

Was easy to give and I like that it does fleas and worms. Both cats started scratching again after 2 weeks tho. However that could be down to needing to do our 6 monthly fleabomb. Great overall.

My cats have cottoned onto the routines of worming and defleaing and hate both. Worming is worse because the cats have a defence against the pill called teeth and if you're really unlucky, claws. I like to minimise the pain inflicted on me by using this product which also kills worms with no fingers in cat's mouth needed! Just need to chase the cats down once. One mark taken off because it is pricey and cats need to be treated once a month but at least I remember to flea them once a month because I can never keep track of the whole 6 week thing. Also cat who used to lose a patch of fur where we applied other brands of defleaing stuff did not get a bald patch this time! Seems to last the whole time they say though... Unlike other the other product (begins with F).

It's convenient and effective. I don't have any problem with it and neither does my cat other than she dislikes any form of flea control when I first put it on her. Within an hour she is fine and back to being my loyal, loving companion.
Our cats are hunters so I like that the worm treatment is included. I haven't tried any other treatments of this type (i.e. dab behind neck). Some of our cats don't tolerate it as well as others, with some blinking their eyes a lot but this doesn't last long. I once did try tablets (brand unknown) but they didn't like them.Tips for application: when you feed treats get them used to you stroking their neck fur while focussed on the food. If they slip away before you get the second squeeze onto the neck they'll probably come back to treats and you can have another go. Another tip is to get them while they're asleep. Part the fur so you get it on the skin as much as possible. Act quickly!
This is a very good product. I’d been trying to find one that covers the full spectrum of fleas to worms plus included the lung worm- this is it and it’s effective. Scratching stops quickly and I have noticed a spring in my two semi feral cats steps.I re-iterate that I wanted a product to kill any possible lungworm infection as my two cats lived in the wild until they found me. Feral cats eat anything they can when hungry to include slugs etc...which carry lungworm.
I have only just discovered Advocate after using Advantage and Frontline for years teamed with Drontal wormer tablets. Advocate is BRILLIANT! It works like magic almost instantly and no more getting bitten and scratched struggling to get them to swallow worming tablets. One Dose of Advocate covers everything. A few drops on the back of the neck and you are done. Team that up with the fantastic prices and service from pet.co.nz and you are winning! I won't buy anywhere else now that I have found these guys :-)
This is so much more convenient in a multi cat household, than having to dose with Drontal as well. I chose this product as it was vet recommended, because it treats lungworm (I've previously used Frontline and Advantage which don't). I did notice however, a couple of my rescue cats were slightly off colour" for 24 hours after being treated ... including loss of appetite. Thank you Pet.co for amazing service. The team are so friendly and helpful :-)"
I've always used this with my cats - we now have an 8 month old kitten who is just starting to go outside so she got her first dose last week. It always works well, never had any problem with fleas or worms with any of my pets using this. A bit expensive (esp when having to buy for dog and cat) but cheaper buying through pet.co.nz than from my local vet. Also like the one product covers fleas and worms.
I liked using this product as there was not a huge amount to spread on the cats. Other similar brands have a larger volume which takes longer to apply which causes more wriggling and stress. (my opinion)
