(I have seen online some others have a tube you can use to drain into something bigger).*** There is no '30' minute quick wash and some of the wash/dry times are very long - fine for me as a single person with only have to do a few loads a week but for a busy family it might not be so suitable for doing lots of loads.

Pros: I chose it due to the 5 year warranty, the 1600 spin speed and the load capacity.Cons: The machine was over complicated to operate. Just opening the machine wasn’t straightforward. The spin noise was awful and filled the whole house with an unholy piercing sound. When I used the automatic wash and dry program, not only did it take hours to complete, but the clothes were covered in fluff.There are no quick wash or fluff drum clean programs which may have improved the experience.The machine was returned to the retailer with a Siemens machine as a replacement.

The machine washes and dries exceptionally well. However there are some disappointing aspects.1. The woollens programme is far too long and produces fluff on garments despite regular cleaning of the pump.2. It doesn't have a quick wash programme and the cottons programme continually lengthens the time so you never know how long it will take.3. The worse aspect of this machine is the touchpad. It takes a lot of pressing to actually set anything and sometimes I just give up and go back to it later.The engineer has looked at it and says he can change the touchscreen but a new one would probably be the same. I wish I hadn't bought it. My previous aeg lasted 10 years.Very upset customer.

We decided to buy AEG washing machine for the second time (we had a previous older model with a smaller drum). Overall very happy with the washing, bigger drum means more clothes I can wash now. Works quite.Now the only bad thing about this particular model is that there's no short washing cycle?! The shortest (I checked all the programs already few times and couldn't believe it) washing cycle is 1 hour 4mins (quick wash it says)! Which means if you want to wash only couple of clothes you basically avoiding it.Overall great washing machine.
Fantastic machine! If you think your current machine gets things clean, wait until you've tried this. The dryer function doesn't leave anything moist at all. Very reliable and looks the most stylish out of all the machines I saw. I only have 2 small problems with it: 1) When in drying mode the machine is quite loud and goes through a rather irritating pattern of noises. I have to either leave it on over night or when I leave the house so I don't have to hear it. 2) The touch buttons don't always register your touch. You might find you need to press things twice. Because the washing mode is so thorough really make sure to separate your whites from your colours because they will bleed into one another.
I bought this about 8 months ago. My clothes comes creased after drying and it's very hard to iron them. My clothes also come with so much lint that it takes ages to remove lint on every cloth which is frustrating. It has ruined my daughter's uniforms that we newly bought for the term. I used to clean the tub regularly but this still happens and I think the machine has not the option of self cleaning so it makes the dirty clothes more dirtier with lint all over.

The wash is slightly quieter than the Samsung. The Dry is very loud (it does a constant drain not sure why as the Samsung didn't) and we don't put it on at night as our daughter's room is directly above kitchen. 2. The 7000 is cheaper has the same main features but extra features such as 1 hour wash/dry and anti allergy. 3. It really needs a 1 hour wash/dry like the 7000. I think it's disgusting you're paying more and getting less features. Overall this is a quality machine let down by the fact the 7000 is the same apart from okomix and 2y warranty instead of 5y. It makes washing and drying clothes a doddle but really isn't quiet like some reviews say. I naively thought it would get the features the 7000 as well as more but obv i was wrong. I'd recommend the 7000 but also recommend this if you want the okomix. It is very pleasing on the eye and offers strong basic performance on what it's designed for.

Its been shrinking in the wash and shrinks in the dry. We can hardly use the dryer because it shrinks. Purchased this because we had a AEG machine before this which served us for several years and that was a quality item. Unfortunately like most things the quality has really gone down. We are in our 50s and have owned enough items to know our way around. Im not really sure what the rave is with all the other reviews. Did complain to John Lewis within the first month and they were not interested. I did buy from JL because of the good customer service in the past but not this time.
