Aeotec is not a true replacement for Smarthings

Bought this to replace an old Smarthings V2 to contact a Schlage Connect smart lock. The setup was easy and very similar to the Smarthings. However, this Aeotec can only lock/unlock, but not assign any new code. I returned this item to Walmart but had more trouble, as it was not true Walmart item but a marketplace item under Walmart.

Best Smart Home Decision

This device is really easy to setup, the zwave migration from a large alarm company was simple. make sure you release all your devices from the previous system first. it can connect with alexia, and the response is fast. we use a regular tablet as a smartthings remote to turn on and off the various lights and switches.

Don't buy. It's pointless

The device is pointless. I got it too control my lights, but it requires me to have another hub that already controls my lights to control the same lights I bought this hub for.Why do I need a hub to control another hub? Completely pointless. Save your money

Great buy for a novice smart user

Its an easy smart hib to connect and add device per location/room. Im a novice in smart technology but I was able to figure this out hence its a no brainer. It certainly is simple but could obviously still be improved. What I don’t like is that its hard to determine the stattus of connecting a couple of times I thought its going idle but its not. Once you get the hang of it the pairing becomes simpler. Not bad.

Great hub for your Smart Home

Great hub, compatibility is ok, some devices do not work due to drivers being out of date, and the hub was unable to upgrade them. I ended up returning some of the devices due to that reason. Another issue: can not arm/disarm ADT Pulse alarm system.

I love these smart hubs!

Samsung smartthings hub has finally returned, with a new name. I love these hubs. They are reliable and have had no issues with an older one I’ve had for several years. Although, they did raise the price since they took over from Samsung so I have to ding it a little on value.

Low profile but effective

This set has made our wifi dead zones come alive. If you have where service drops or is poor this will work for you. They have a low profile so I don’t have to find a place for a bulky wifi extender. Helps with upstairs devices. Pretty much plug and play.

If you are looking to run a smart home, this is your hub. This hub ties together all your different smart products so they work as one. Right out of the box you already have an easy-to-use interface to automate everything, if you want to expand and finetune that control then install "CoRE" or "webCoRE." I have been using the Smartthings version of this hub for years, very reliable.

Works great

It's a great alternative to WINK services,, But it doesn't work my older devices like wink did. But it's still a great product. It got my house up and running again after being down from WINKS neglectfulness. Thanks SMARTTHINGS for coming to the rescue. Sincerely Mark C
