Its light and while I haven't had it long, I think it will be durable. Did I mention I like how water resistant it is? I have no concerns about leaving it in my jeep about if a random rainstorm moves though

Very high quality well made backpack. It has comfortable straps and a well ventilated back panel. It’s lightweight yet feels very durable with plenty of space for day to day carry. I use this bag for work and it’s perfect for organizing all of my gear. I wouldn’t hesitate to purchase this bag again.

After years with a Lo & Sons bag, the zippers gave out, and as they don’t offer repairs, I decided to try a new brand. After much research, I decided on Aer. The Daypack 3 X-Pac is excellent. From the materials, to interior layout, to all the bits of fit and finish, it’s a terrific bag. I’m very happy with my choice.

This backpack met every single expectation I had for it based on the extensive amount of time I spent watching review videos and comparing it to other options. I am completely happy with this purchase in every single way following weeks of using it to and from work, and a recent trip across the country for a conference! Fit underneath the seat in front of me on my Delta flights in the main cabin with tons of room to spare for my feet - a big deal for me since I'm a taller, larger guy and I'm used to needing to try to cram my feet under the seat in front of me when stowing a backpack down there.Looking forward to my next purchase from Aer as a result!
Incredible build quality. Expensive, but really worth it to protect your laptop. I had a cheapo off of Amazon that totally served the purpose for a long time but I travel around a lot for work and I DIY with a lot of tools and such. I ended up damaging the laptop and needing to replace - it just got too banged up and eventually had severe screen damage that wasn't worth repairing. This bag is protecting my new laptop much better and is exactly what I bargained for. Worth the upgrade for sure!!
I was in the market for a sleek, compact backpack for work and travel purposes. This time I wanted something with more quality, which is why I selected from Aer’s line of products. This bag perfectly holds my 15” laptop, cables, remarkable tablet and loose items. It’s a snug fit but I prefer that to something that is overly big and ill -designed. I will definitely consider Aer products in the future.
I have too many backpacks but AER tend to be my go to choice. While I have some Tumi and Briggs and Riley, I love grabbing this AER backpack as it is the most comfortable. The size is just enough for my daily workday but I love that it can stand up. The orange interior makes it easier to find my small items. The shoulder straps are very very comfortable even when fully loaded.
New padding material is too coarse for comfort when using backpack with sleeveless shirts, at the beach shirtless, or using it as headrest at the airport. I could not think of a logical reason for abandoning the soft and durable padding fabric from previous iterations, other than maybe a niche user base abusing the bag. Vertical carry-on pass through strap checks-off the box, horizonal carry-on pass through strap solves the problem. The perfect Day Pack in my opinion has the volume capacity, smooth shoulder and back padding of Day Pack 1, single water bottle pocket from Day Pack 2, and single side handle and interior of Day Pack 3. I hope these recommendations help shape the next version of this versatile bag.
This is an upgrade from the original, but, it is lacking and stiff. The front compartment pockets are not deep enough for pens to clip on, and as an architect I carry several. The lower pockets are no fee on er, don’t understand why they couldn’t be more gracious.The straps are stiff and wide, this isn’t a 40 L bag, it’s lighter. The chest strap has a nice magnetic catch, but is not removable? There is no D ring or place to add a carabiner in the strap front. I always have one on my old backpack and use it to carry a grocery bag or dry cleaning as an extra hand. Also no batter pass through.I find the luggage trolley strap hard to use, wish it stretched or was horizontal so the side handle wasn’t necessary.
