Aerpro AP40 3 Section Spring Ball Base

This is the third example of this item I've purchased. This purchase was because the previous unit's 'diecast' centre screw broke and the aerial was lost off the car. I'm disappointed on the quality of this item, however it is what it is - a budget item.

I bought one of these 8 years ago and it was a very heavy duty item, I damaged the cable so I bought another one. There is no comparison between the old and new. The new one fell apart within 24 hours, old one had stainless steel fittings, new one doesn't. New one is half the weight and very very flimsy compared to the old one. This product is a piece of garbage and definitely not heavy duty.

Aerial fit ok, the actual fitting is a bit difficult if you can’t get your hand to the back of the panel because the thread on the screw that holds it all together and tightens it all up isn’t quite long enough to just push through the hole and let the back arms hang through. Take a deep breath, it’ll do the job.
