I usually love Aesop products but for me this was just meh! Natural deodorants will never work as well as traditional chemical based ones unfortunately. I have tried a fair few more natural brands and this was somewhere in the middle - not the best, not the worst. That being said, if you don’t like strong essential oil smells then stay away. Personally I don’t mind the smell but I can see why some people might be put off.

I have been searching for a natural deodorant for MANY MANY years!!!! I have tried just about all of the natural deodorants. None of them worked for me but this deodorant WORKS!!! The smell may be somewhat strong but the deodorant WORKS. I would layer the scent with perfume or scented lotion. I have been using it for several months now and I love feeling confident that I have my under arm odor under control.

I was very excited to try this, expecting to feel the need to continually purchase expensive deodorant after using it, however this is the first Aesop product that I won’t buy again. Unfortunately it just didn’t really work for me. It smells nice and sprays well but it didn’t appear to do anything, feeling like i wasn’t wearing deodorant within an hour or so. I am reasonably active and this didn’t live up to my needs on most occasions. It’s a shame as I still love Aesop products, but this one just wasn’t right for me

I've been a long time user of natural deodorant so I was pleased to try this one by Aesop. The fragrance is beautifully herbal, with notes of eucalyptus, rosemary and lavender all coming through. I see a lot of reviewers being disappointed by this deodorant but as with all natural deodorants, the body needs to become accustomed to the lack of strong chemicals like aluminium - it takes about a couple of weeks for it to become effective. I really enjoyed using it. I have to say it is a little bit on the pricey side, so I have another natural deodorant from a different brand on the go for every day and use this for 'special' days. Absolutely recommended!
I love the earthy smells of Aesop’s range and finding myself in the marlow store I sprayed this little gem on as I was about to proceed a leg of the Thames path to Henley- normally arriving quite ripe and cavewomanly - I was over joyed to find that the heated picturesque journey was also a sensory pleasure and arrived at my destination unapologetically refreshed. I don’t know any deodorant that does that - I therefore invested in both fragrances and enjoy them each and every day. Fabulous - wish it was less expensive ! Not everything fabulous has to have a high price tag.

I gave it a spray under my arms and went to buy some. I was happy to find this herbal spray but freaked out at the price tag. It was my first ever Aesop purchase £23. However I hid my shock from the assistant. I'm not opposed to spending for deodorant - I was previously a Chanel deodorant user: Cristalle which came in a bottle set the mark then when they discontinued it I switched to to Chanel number 5 which came in an aerosol. I think it was shock at a teeny bottle, and the fact that a man would pay that price! It does work better at hiding perspiration than my Neals Yard but after years of avoiding roll-ons, I find nothing works as well as my powder fresh roll-on from the regular high street chemists.
This is the third time I buy this deodorant. I tried different ones but this is my favourite. While Aesop's roll-on deodorant is more for dry skin, this spray is a stronger version as it contains alcohol ingredient. I tend to use it the warmer months. I don't normally have a strong body smell so this one is perfect for me.
Being entirely honest I’ve always struggled with body odour. I’d shower and shave and freshen up religiously but my sweat smelt awful. Then was told how bad antiperspirants are and made the switch and my body odour hasn’t returned. However I do find this specific deodorant keeps me fresher for longer. I have endometriosis and have been put in an artificial menopause I’m on very strong opioids too both of which make me sweat like crazy unfortunately but now it doesn’t smell. As I’m disabled I can’t shower or bath daily anymore unfortunately so smelling good is really important to me. This helps me smell great. I don’t agree with the comments regarding sent. But the scent is gone in an hour or so and if I apply perfume I can only smell that. I’ve been using a LM body lotion as perfume and that overpowers it. It’s expensive but so so worth it.
Love the packaging and aesthetic - who would have thought that a deodorant would look good on a bathroom shelf. Sage scent smells great in the bottle and immediately upon application - I think as I’m used to chemical/artificial super strength drugstore brands the scent will take some getting used to, however I don't think this disguises sweat smells at all. Currently very paranoid that I smell but trying to preserve as like I said it's pretty.
So on the first day of testing it worked great and smelled fresh and herbal. But it’s been a week. I shower every day and still i think this deodorant sucks. It’s wayy too strong and it really lingers on ur clothes. It smells exactly like the bread stuffing you get inside a roast chicken from Woolies. I think it’s all the herbal oils in the ingredients that’s do that. The whole bottle probably expires after 24hrs. I think the formula does not work well with heat and any absorbent cotton t shirts lol. So in a sense yes it gets rid of ur smelly pits… by replacing it with an even worse stench! I mean really i would not mind these results if it was $12 or $15, but $35?? A huge disappointment :(
