As much as I love most Aesop products, this SPF moisturiser is unfortunately a bit of a disappointment. It smells really nice and does a good job protecting my fair skin. However, I find it to be very rich and not suitable to wear under make up. I wish the formula was a bit more lightweight.

Spearmint is what makes this body lotion exciting. Other lotions and creams might win out textually, but the spearmint is refreshing and tricks the mind into feeling like the skin is cooler and cleaner. As a sun block, I've had no trouble with it, it does what it is supposed to, and as long as you reapply and take care to be sun-aware, then it will functionally succeed. What is by far original and exciting in the sun screen market is the addition of the minty aroma. I have never put this on my face as I feel the mint would be too much, using a seperate facial lotion for that. I also enjoy using other sun lotions on alternate days, so that I don't make this fragrance commonplace.

During my holiday in the south of France, I decided to try Aesop's Protective Facial Lotion SPF50. Unfortunately, it fell short of my expectations. The product felt too thin and watery for my liking, and I've experienced better sunscreens in the past. Given its performance, I wouldn't invest in this product again. It's crucial to find a sunscreen that provides the right level of protection and feels comfortable on the skin, and this one simply didn't meet my needs during my time in the sun.
I've been looking for a good face cream with high SPF for quite awhile and had big hopes for the Asop Protective Facial Lotion SPF50 as I usually really like their products. The cream has a delicate herbal scent which I love, but the consistency is too rich and I find it difficult to apply as it gets quite sticky straight away. Also, one pump doesn’t provides enough cream to cover the whole face but two pumps feels way too much. Since the price is quite high I was expecting a better product to be honest. I don’t think I’ll purchase again.
Nice smell and consistency. Absorbs well, light, doesn't leave a greasy or claggy feeling. Would suit men or women as the fragrance is unisex. Expensive for what it is mind, can find products with equal SPF coverage etc for lower cost. Good for gifting rather than everyday IMO.
I have been wanting to try this for a while so really glad to find out it’s launched in SpackNK. I prefer rich sunscreen with high spf so this one with spf50 ticks all the boxes. The texture is light so it applies easily, absorbs to the skin nicely, and does not leave a white residue. However, it somehow feels too rich when layer with foundation. Probably it’s more suitable for autumn and winter seasons.
This product adds a pleasant scent to a skin essential- SPF50. it's easy to apply and the coverage is fabulous. It does not only provide UV protection but nourishes the skin as well. Applies easily and smells great, but it does not last long. It can be brought for travelling
I wouldn't recommend using this on your face. I applied it once and my skin didn't react well. It inflamed my skin and made it hot, red and irritated. My skin then turned rough like sandpaper and now, 10 days later after the initial application, my face has started to peel.
I usually love Aesop products and thought that their SPF would be great for me, but this was a miss for me – it is so heavy and very tricky to use under make-up as it oxidises immediately (and if you only use a tiny amount, this is well below the amount of SPF that should be used on the face). I actually thought that this is an amazing product for a desert island – it protects your skin very well for a long time and there is also nobody to see how you look 😊
