Affresh Washing Machine Cleaner 5 Count

These washing machine cleaner tabs are a must have for our household! With four kids, a dog, and a husband who is a professional heavy equipment technician, our washing machine has to work hard. Using these tablets every month along with the "tub clean" cycle on our washer removes any residue or grime that may remain in the tub, and ensures that our washer is able to get our clothes as clean as possible. Easy to use, the tablets are in individual wrappers inside the box. Open one and add it to the tub when running a cleaning cycle. They dissolve easily and have light, fresh scent. Once your tub cleaning cycle is done, so are these. They require no other maintenence. We keep these stocked at my house!

Honestly I didn’t know I need to clean our washer regularly. Our maintenance guy was the one who mentioned it to me and I know I had to do it right away as I can smell our washer getting funky already. I got the box of 5 tablets at Walmart for around $11. While I was checking our washer getting cleaned by Affresh, the water didn’t go muddy or dark but I saw several floating particles which makes me happy that the stuff works. After it’s done, I saw residue at the bottom of the washer so I just wiped them off right away. It will be hard to get rid of them if they get dry so make sure to wipe the insides of your washer as soon as it’s done cleaning. If you want a clean washing machine, I highly suggest you get the Affresh washer cleaner. My washing machine calls for this product by name. My washing machine will tell me when it's time for a cleaning. My washing machine can sometimes give off a mildew smell if you do not regularly clean it. These tablets are so effective. They are perfect if you have pets and children. This gets rid of soap scum and extra build up from laundry soaps and softeners. I'm willing to try different brands because this one is a tad expensive. But it works wonderfully.

14yo front loader still mold free

Affresh is the only brand washing machine cleaner I’ll ever use. I’ve tried cheaping out with just vinegar or bleach, or free samples of the Tide cleaner- but nothing has ever left my machine smelling as fresh. For front loaders, keep the door open when not actively washing your clothes, and use the Affresh tablets IN THE MACHINE TUB monthly, or whenever your machine reminds you. Occasionally wipe down the seal and door with a rag or paper towel. We’ve had our front-loading machine 14 years and have been diligent with this simple maintenance. No issues with mold or any other issues front loaders get a bad rep for!

AAFRESH does a great job keeping your washer clean

I've been using AAFRESH 6 Count Washing Machine Cleaner Tablets for years in my washing machines. I sanitize my machines every 2 weeks. Using the "hot" water longest running cycle, with soak, the tablets make short order of any buildup in the drum of my washer. The tablets easily dissolve and do a great job. My washing machine always comes out clean and smelling great. Using AAFRESH has been of great benefit to the longevity of the machine. I highly recommend them. A+ 5*s. Thank you Lowe's for carrying this item.

OMG..Why Did I Wait So Long To Use Affresh

I recently discovered Affresh cleaning tablets for my top loading washing machine and my dishwasher. My washing machine is about 2 1/2 years old and I just started using Affresh. I was amazed at the mess that came out of the inside of my washer. I used two tablets the first time. I actually used a wire strainer to keep skimming debris out of the water as the washer agitated. The water was full of chunks of debris. I was amazed at how much residue had collected inside my machine. I repeated this process 3 times before my washing machine was clean. I will use this every month from now on. I never want to see what can build up inside a washing machine again.

This was amazing! I had no idea my washing machine was so dirty. I had done all the other tips and tricks they say to do, like using vinegar AND yes I clean my washer as directly every month as directed,But my clothes still smelt gross. I tried this and watched to see if anything came up. It looked like pond water with algae! So gross!! This stuff was bringing up chunks of who knows what! I did an another one after that- I was so grossed out. I have a rare autoimmune disorder and I need to keep mold and anything and everything far from my home as possible! I’m glad I found this.

Surface Cleaner

I ran 2 separate hot water empty washer loaded with full tub of water. Thinking the washer was clean, I decided to pour hot water %26 1Tablespoon of white vinegar in the center( ? Whatever it is called %26 anther tub of hot water as it frequently is yuccky%26 another tub of hot water wash only. When I completed that washer full I had all kinds of muddy sediment in the washer…. let it dry overnight so I could vacuum out the sediment %26 run a load of clothes to wash. Wrong…. I still wasn’t satisfied so I used Mr Clean Magic Eraser trying to remove the wring around the “ neck “ of the washer %26 found muddy residue in the water return%26 in the gaskets around the washer rim. First time user on a circa 2003 Speed Queen Front Load Washer prior to service replacement of drum bearings and very impressed. These tablets work best with hot water and in any machine. Your machine does not require any special sanitize or machine clean setting to get a hot clean. This method is simple and is surest way to get the washer drums hot and ensures your machine fill valves are working properly. (If it does not fill or get hot you have a machine hot fill valve, or fill lines reversed issue.) (If you have an extra rinse setting option turn it on to clear as much dissolved biofilm as possible on this second clean and rinse cycle with the cold water supply turned on.)7- Turn on the cold water supply if not turned on during last rinse cycle.8- Open machine and use paper towels to wipe down seals and door/lid to remove biofilm that was dissolved from drum surfaces but stuck in crevices. (I used Q-Tips to clear the in-molded front door seal drains to ensure they were clear and draining freely back to the inner drum.)9- Run a sniff test. If it smells clean, use it. If not, repeat steps 4 thru 7 again. (Washers that have never been biofilm cleaned and have plastic inner and/ or plastic outer drums may have stubborn biofilms that adhere to the micropores in plastic drums. This is especially true when you have well water that is not chlorinated or are in countries (Canada) that use Ozone to purify water.)

Worked like a charm !

What a difference this product made in our clothes. I had to be away from house for extended hospital stay. When I got home that was one of the first thing I noticed the nasty smell left behind on the clothes even though they had been washed in a good brand of detergent and dried with scented sheet. I had compared these with other products at their rating values before purchasing this product. Not sorry at all for following the “stars” of other users and reviewers. Thank you all for your help and thank the product process engineers. Our clothes smell great not like they have been hanging in closet for 6 months now.
