Both pairs of headphones failed in exactly the same way: they started getting a bit buzzy a few months in, and a few months after that, the transducers are obviously flapping about unconstrained in the blobs on the end. They sound like a bag of nails when I pick them up and shake them, and I can’t listen to them any more.It’s seriously disappointing that the premium price doesn’t appear to result in a premium product. I’ve had far more longevity from one of Anker’s original sets of earbuds (actually from their first Kickstarter under the Zolo brand that they eventuallly gave up on) that cost a fraction for what these things did.I’m not confident that the second RMA pair will last any longer, and once the warranty period is up next year, I’m expecting that I’ll have effectively rented a pair of headphones for 2 years and change.

Fit is perfect. There is a slight amount of pressure where the ear pieces meet the outside of the ear, but it’s not something I’d be too concerned about really. I really only noticed it after the first few uses, but don’t even feel it anymore. User controls and setup are all simple. No extra app to download to your smart device, which is always a plus. As for price, well that subject is always subjective, but for me I felt the price was reasonable for what you get. Aside from the headset, you get a nice little carrying case with magnetic clasp, two charging cables, and a pair of earplugs in a clear plastic case. All things considered, I give the product a solid 5/5 and would highly recommend.

The sound kinda sucks and if you run near a road you won't be able to hear anything except the cars, but I'd rather have that than lose my situational awareness.Unfortunately, in late September the headphones completely died with no warning. So now I have nothing, they won't give me a refund, and they have no idea when the mini will be back in stock.I know my case is in the vast minority, but definitely be careful about ordering from them and make sure you read the fine print. If I could get a refund I would. Also the mini is in stock on amazon and at best buy, which is awesome.

They really just add to the ease of use, no fumbling with ports and plugs, the charger finds where it's supposed to go on it's own.

I keep notifications and ringer on the lowest setting on my phone, so maybe that's the fix.I should have bought a set for myself long ago, but the cost kept me thinking of them as a luxury purchase. I've owned noise cancelling over the ear headphones, hearing protection earbuds, and Bluetooth speakers. The past 3 days Aeropex have done a better job than anything I have ever owned. I will keep my over the ears for late night movie watching and the "leave me alone" message they give while traveling, but these are going to be my go-to in most other situations.

The headphones stay in place well yet because the band is not snug against my head (see photo), the band hits against my collared shirts, car headrests and even my bed pillows if I lie down. I knew this from the product listing but because I needed the 8-hour battery life, I ordered these rather than a youth model that may fit more snug since the other models do not have the 8 hour life. Because this was not a surprise to me, I still rate these 5-star since they fill the advertised description, do it well, are well built, sturdy and most of all, are the most comfortable headphones I have found for my purposes. I love them.
I've been using Aftershokz Trekz Airs for over two years, and the switch to Aeropex was actually more adjustment than I expected. I'll get the cons out of the way before I cover how the Aeropex are amazing. My primary complaint is that I dislike all of the buttons. The multi-purpose button is small and either too far forward or too high up, not where I instinctively reach to touch it (unless I reach with my right hand, I just noticed). The volume buttons are still too small, and I'm always pressing on the rigid outline of the new charging port when I'm trying to press volume down. I would have preferred the multi-purpose button be swapped to the right side and the charging port alone on the left side, leaving a bit of space to make the volume buttons just a touch ... So maybe my ears are just needy for a bit more volume.Beyond that, I don't think I have any negative feedback. I'm still fascinated by and love the quality of the bone conduction sound. The technology has certainly improved since the Trekz Airs, although I still love my Airs and keep them paired to a different device for dedicated listening at home. The Aeropex have hardly any vibration tickle when compared to the Treks Air headphones. They still have some vibration when you max out the volume, but it seems much improved over the vibration of the Airs.Aeropex are light and comfortable, and I'm always surprised by the "Battery High" status after a day of standby and sporadic listening/phone calls. I'm absolutely blown away when it still says "Battery High" or rarely "Medium" after a second day. Do I every have to charge these things?! On that topic, I love the new charging port, and thank you so much for including the spare charging cable. My only critique of the charging cable is that I wish it connected straight on, rather than at 90 degrees. That's probably not a big deal, just personal feeling about making sure I turn the cord or headphones the right way to charge them.I also love that the Aeropex are water resistant (proof?). (Documentation is unclear whether they'd survive a dunk in the pool, but some advertising seems to imply they would and you just have to dry off before charging. I'm not brave enough to test it.)In the package they also include the standard foam ear plugs and a fancy storage case with magnetic closure. I appreciate the bonus, but never end up using the case because if I'm not wearing them over my ears, they're usually around my neck. I discussed with my wife that it might be better to save money on the case and design some nice, long lasting or washable ear plugs instead.Final thoughts: While I think the design could improve with some adjustments to the buttons, the functionality of Aftershokz bone conduction headphones is nearly flawless.
If I could have only one pair of headphones, it would be these. These things are the perfect headphones for daily use thanks to the weight and that they do not sit in your ears. Many people like to use Airpods or other wireless earbuds as their daily driver headphones, but these perform that role even better. Once you put them on your head, you will forget they are even there: that's how seamless the use of these is. Perfect for taking calls or listening to music on the go! The battery is enough to last you an entire day in my experience so need to bring the charger with you unless you really use them a lot. These things are just more than just good headphones for running or exercising. In the future, I would like to see these things have a wireless charging case like Airpods or any other wireless earbuds so we don't have to deal with the proprietary charging cable. Additionally, I would like to see multi-device support so I can use these with my phone and laptop simultaneously without having to disconnect and reconnect every time. And maybe an app for these headphones would be nice if that's possible.In short, these headphones are not only great workout and exercise headphones, but they perform the role of Airpods and wireless earbuds much better. The ultimate daily-driver headphones. And if Aftershokz were to continue to lean into this aspect of their product, maybe also start appealing to Airpods and other wireless earbud users, I think they would be a huge success!
