Far better helmet than the price would suggest. Excellent fit, quiet, far less wind buffeting at highway speeds than any full face I've used (in this category), acceptable weight, vents are very effective, pinlock face shield has great optics. Sweet helmet, if it weren't for it being unbearably tight after a hour of wearing, I would have given it a 5 star. It fit well trying it on, similar to my other HJC helmet but after about 30-45 mins on a ride it was putting crazy pressure on my temples and cheekbones. Not the fault of AGV, more-so the fault of my abnormally shaped dome.Just make sure you don't have same issue cause once you use it, no returns. It is a narrow and very tight helmet by nature.Only time I used it was 40-45 degrees and kept a lot of wind out of my face and I was surprisingly warm. Ventilation was good, and when my visor fogged ventilation holes would clear it up within split seconds

I am not sure how much this will help. But I thought I would chime in. I am new to the Street, all of my riding experience is dirt and dual sport. Getting old and getting tired of getting beat up. So I bought a 2009 Tiger 1050. As I was not sure I would dig commuting. So 6 months and 8000 miles later I am still in this lid, and it's safe to say that I think it is cool to be able to ride everyday.I bought it as because I liked the drop down visor and I use it a lot. I like the detents feature because commuting in Los Angeles it can get slow splitting lanes and it can get warm, so it's nice to click the clear visor up one notch and with the drop down visior inside I feel pretty protected. My only gripe.....Not sure if the K3 visor with the pin lock will work on the K3SV, but if it does I may upgrade to it just for the anti fog....it is getting colder in Cali....not like Wisconsin cold, but I am fogging up a bit in the AM.I like the helmet and have been thinking about upgrading but I keep asking myself why? It is comfortable, and I really do not know any different on how much quieter a high dollar helmet will be. I put a Sena SMH5 in it, once again I didn't spend the big bucks as I was not sure I would like commuting. ( I watched the Vids here on all the COM systems before I ordered it). The ear cut outs are nice but not quite big enough so a little mod is required to get them in, but they went in pretty sano and I dig the music on the way to work and home. Conversation is tough above 50MPH so I usually just don't answer the phone. But it is a cool feature to be able to do so. If you like talking to people.So the helmet is as advertised and I think I'll wait till Christmas and get the wife to foot the bill on a Shoei Neotec or a Shoei GT AIr II with the cool Sena system that does not stick out the side of the globe.I got the straight white one as well, why? well it was cost effective. And I think I just got lucky on picking a decent helmet at Cycle Gear.I like Revzilla and all the info. It is great for a newbe (to the street) like me!

Been using this helmet for the past year, still pleased with it. Couple issues worth mentioning... front of the helmet is skinny, and does not side on and off comfortably with the chin skirt installed. Without it, it's perfectly fine, but it blocks a good bit of wind, so I leave it on when it's cooler. The vent on the top center of the helmet makes a pretty good whistling noise over 40mph if you try to open it, and the other 2 on top don't do much.The visor works well. I like that you have about an inch of friction where you can open it slightly before you hit the detents. I hate when a visor only opens with detects, and the minimal opening is too wide. Maybe they're not allowed to give you one tinted past a certain point, not sure, but if you want to actually use it, count on spending an extra $50 over the helmet price to buy a darker internal visor to go with it.The visor also does also not take pinlock inserts. I ended up buying some and drilling my visor to install them. If you've never used them, and ride in any weather vaguely cold enough that your visor fogs up, find a helmet or a visor that let's you install the pinlock insert. They're amazing, one of those "I don't know how I've lived without these" kind of things.

Bought this as my first helmet, to use for the safety course and beyond.Excellent helmet, the features like the air flow vents make sure you never get hot in this helmet.The padding ensures a nice secure fit with no red marks once you're done riding.Noise levels are adequate, but at highway speeds the wind can be annoying, so I recommend some earplugsNo blind spots with this helmet either, the view is wide and clearMy only complaint is after using the helmet for only a week the red snap has broken off which holds the chin strap from flapping around and slapping you in the neck. Apparently this is a common issue with the AGV helmets
Good helmet. This thing looks 5/5… it’s clean, sleek, and with a mirrored visor (not included) it’s a great look. Functionally, it’s a 3/5. It’s very loud and the chin curtain is a bit annoying. I like having it but it’s 2 pieces of fabric that should be much stretchier. Both minor issues but you should be aware it will be a louder helmet. The extra visors are not included and run about $70. Overall a good bucket for under $300. Will keep as a backup for summer days and passengers.
Very comfortable helmet- doesn't feel heavy. Wind noise is about average. I'm disappointed though with two items, 1. The mouth vent in the open position also opens the visor. Not a great design in my opinion. 2. The visor won't stay all the way up in the open position. Overall, it's worth the price, but I'm going to sell it and go back to HJC as I'm a little too picky.

I am probably biased since I fit an ML in AGV sizing, if there were 3 shell sizes (or... if I fit in an MS) then I'd give it 5 stars.I keep it around as a good 2nd lid in the rare case I have a pillion, works out great since I can just tell them to use the sun visor as needed.I personally moved on to the Shoei RF-SR because I wanted a quieter helmet that was a bit more comfortable and has pinlock as well as a less sporty style (more neutral shaped than sporty).
Bought this helmet knowing I wanted a bike soon and because I had my msf course coming up. The price was great and the safety ratings were what I was looking for. The helmet itself is super comfortable and helped keep my head dry and warm during my course (we got 3 inches of rain during the training days). i never had issues with helmet noise either but we never got out of second gear, so that is yet to be determined. happy with my purchase and the anti fog lens that comes with helmet.
