It has enough tint to reduce my redness, blotchiness and make my skin tone look more even, yet still looks natural. It’s perfect for my oily skin as it’s not greasy on my face, yet still gives a nice little shine/glow to the skin. And I love the slight blurring effect that it gives to my skin.Much nicer to use than Naked Sundays as it doesn’t sting my face, doesn’t feel heavy or make my skin oily, and the consistency of the SPF makes it a lot easier to apply the product and rub it in.

Comparing to Mineral Mousse

I may decide to use this around the facial perimeter that tends to be more drier these days, and stick to Mineral Mousse in the t-zone. Multi-SPFing - a bit like multi-masking I gather! For those of us with combination/oily skin and larger pores, would probably stick with Mineral Mousse if you just want the single product and no ā€˜dewiness’. But a lovely product overall.

I often wear this alone with some kosas concealer for lazy work days/to the gym etc and it looks great, provides some coverage and isn't heavy at all. Thirty years young, I'm on the fairer side southern european skin, and use Pretty in Zinc and had/have chronic rosacea and eczema on the face, neck & body throughout my early mid twenties which I've managed to really calm down/get rid of through cultivating a good skincare routine for which physical sunscreen is essential!! especially in Australia!

Glowing review for Golden Glow
19 February 2024

I am a long term eczema sufferer, and am so pleased to have found a sunscreen that doesn’t feel heavy and works with my skin (instead of against me).As I grow older, I am trying to be kinder to my skin and focus on prevention, rather than correction (which has largely been how I’ve approached skin care my whole life).Around two months back, I spent $80+ on a dermatologically tested and Dr recommended sunscreen, only to develop an allergic reaction to it. The rash stuck with me for a good few weeks.Airyday was another brand that a GP friend of mine had suggested. I gave each of Golden Glow, Pretty in Zinc and Mineral Mousse a go. In the end I stuck it out with Golden Glow. Good, but not as good as the Airyday Mineral Mousse

I recently bought the Pretty in Zinc and Mineral Mousse minis to test out. Here are my thoughts:- Both are very lightweight, but the Mineral Mousse feels completely invisible. The Mineral Mousse feels really oily when you apply it (maybe because of the silicones in it), but within a few minutes, it feels like nothing on the skin.- Neither product was sticky or tacky at all.- The Mineral Mousse spreads SO much easier. The Pretty in Zinc takes more work to spread and the finish is a little uneven on the skin.- The Mineral Mousse plays better with other skincare/makeup products (I use a few serums and a moisturiser in the morning. All products are oil free as oils don’t always work well with SPF products - the oils can increase the chance of pilling). All products are oil free as oils don’t always work well with SPF products - the oils can increase the chance of pilling). Zero pilling and no clinging. The Pretty in Zinc pilled a little and my foundation clung to it a little bit in certain areas. The Mineral Mousse just looks flawless.- The Mineral Mousse blurred and evened out my skin far more than the Pretty in Zinc. I don’t even want to wear makeup over the Mineral Mousse. I have very pale skin and didn’t find that the tint was too much - it isn’t even noticeable.- They look almost identical on the skin. The Pretty in Zinc is slightly more ā€˜dewy’ while the Mineral Mousse gives kind of a satin finish (I wouldn’t call it totally matte? It’s like a luminous matte/satin). I think the difference in finish became a little more noticeable when I put foundation over the top.- The Pretty in Zinc is maybe a little less dry than the Mineral Mousse. Only just, though. They feel very similar. In saying that, the Mineral Mousse definitely didn’t feel drying on my skin.Overall, out of the two, the Mineral Mousse is the clear winner for me. I have nothing but good things to say about it. I have already ordered a full size.

Lovely for very oily skin
16 July 2024

I dont normally write reviews but as someone who has extremely oily skin, I figured this might be helpful to others in the same boat.Nothing I do changes the amount of oil I produce, So when purchasing a sunscreen (especially for the face) its quite hard to find one that doesnt turn me into an even bigger oil slick. I purchased pretty in zinc and dream mousse to try.Whilst I am still oily after using pretty in zinc. It's NOTHING like I'm used to with sunscreen! My face feels lovely and light. Not weighed down and clogged and the oil/shine can be easily controlled with a bit of powder.Giving 4 stars out of 5 as I feel the price is a little bit steep.

SO HAPPY

I am absolutely thrilled with my purchase, I spent a lot of time researching the product before I purchased, asked questions of friendly staff at Airyday, checked other peoples feedback to choose the right one. I ended up buying this full size Pretty in Zinc and also a sample size of Golden Glow so I could compare. I am using them both trying to choose my favourite but they are both really good. I find this Pretty in Zinc a thicker product to apply but it sits beautifully on my skin and makeup is easy to apply over the top. I do let it sit for some time though before applying makeup, not sure if this makes a difference. I apply my eye cream, serums and lotions first, then this is my primer. The best SPF I have EVER used

Before AiryDay I was using MECCA To Save Face and it was ok but after seeing an ad for AiryDay's Mineral Mousse I was intrigued. The descriptions of each SPF made it hard to choose as they all sounded really nice so I got a mini of each one including the Night Rain Sleep Mask.Clear As Day was the only non-tinted sunscreen, had a delightful velvet-cloud type texture and spread easily. Left my skin feeling smooth and hydrated with a little shine (not like a thick tacky sunscreen shine either, more like hydrated and healthy). I would buy this one for the family to have a good quality facial SPF.Golden Glow had a thinner liquid consistency, spread well and smelt really nice. It definitely gives the glow without being glittery or sparkly. The only downside to this SPF was that it clung to the dry patches on my eyelids and made them really obvious so I wouldn't recommend this if you were navigating dry, rough and flaky skin.Mineral Mousse felt like the old-school Maybelline Dream Mousse Foundation but better. I enjoyed the texture and application, gave a light coverage that would be good for slightly un-even skin tone but just not enough to cover blemishes or hyper-pigmentation. This unfortunately also clung to the dry patches on my lids.Pretty In Zinc was the last SPF I tried and boy did I accidentally save the best for last. This one funnily enough feels the most like a traditional SPF, a thicker tinted cream that initially feels a little tacky but settles well. I used my cream blush over this and did not feel the compulsive need to matte anything down with powder. I can also report it did NOT cling to my dry flaky patches and still managed to give a light coverage with a healthy hydrated glow. This one has received the most compliments and usually no-one comments on my skin! It's baffled me because I say 'thanks but it's just my sunscreen' but not anymore this will be my staple daily wear. Thankyou AiryDay, I did not think I would find an SPF I would love this much. Also an honorable mention to the Night Rain Sleep Mask. The scent has grown on me with consistent use because the way it makes my skin feel oh my gosh. So soft and nourishing. I have used this day and night and didn't feel the need to wash it off like you would a mask, just left on like a moisturiser and has paired well under all of the SPFs.

I’ve also purchased Mineral Mousse & Clear as Day which I love as well. I find Mineral Mousse great for ease of application & light as a feather. Great for exercise matte & lightweight. Clear as Day is just gloriously nourishing, dreamy application & drys down to a lovely satin. I can not feel it at all as it just melts in with an invisible appearance & smells divine. All products are great for my skin & change them according to what I need on any given day.I tend not to use Mineral mousse as a makeup primer as it’s a bit too matte as a base for my skin type & I like the other goodies in Pretty in Zinc that seem to provide extra health benefits to my skin & all this with amazing SPF protection. Cleansing routine is double cleanse with oil & water base face cleaner & skin feels & looks great šŸ™
