Entire thing is made of plastic so you must be really careful with it. Even when adjusting the volume you could crack a piece easily with the cheap construct of the receiver. The microphones seem to be well built so I'm not sure why it was so poorly put together

I have only used this unit at practice but so far it looks like it will do the job. This unit had been my first choice but due to back order status, I went with a recommended alternate EV headset unit. Big mistake! The EV's monitor feed back, (in this case low end flutter) was so bad it almost ruined a paying gig as well as monitors. Their, (EV) head set design was very poor compared with this unit as well as being an Omni type. Definitely should have waited.This, (Sports set) unit is the right idea as the headset seems sturdy and holds solid and the mic is Uni directional which makes the most sense for live music applications. In my situation, playing keys and guitar, I am using this to hopefully elliminate the need for a clumsy boom, which will allow me to look down at the keys while singing. Therefore super range is not an issue for me. The clarity in sound so far seems very good and walking around in a small practice room, I have not experienced any feed problems yet.The only other negative comments are; it would have been nice to come with a case. I hate using the original boxes as cases. Also on the transmitter pack, I do prefer a push button mute and on/off switch rather than a slider but this is minor.

I said Yes to all the above questions. It is a good product, it is simple to use, and it is lightweight. But after being used to singing into a hand-held microphone for over 40 years, I found it hard to get used to using my voice in a different style to sound as good as I did with the old style mic. With that much age on my vocal cords, I've become accustomed to singing a certain way, so if I kept the wireless mic, I would have to learn to sing a different way. So I will be going back to that hand held mic. This is just me though. Someone younger may not encounter this sort of problem.

Excellent remote mic! Use for online fitness classes - with music through mixer. Sound quality is excellent and importantly, mic stays on even through cardio kickboxing!! Great quality at a great price.
I was recommended this unit by customer service. Im a mobile DJ and this unit does a great job. Its very clear, lightweight and does not use up batteries. I would recommend this to anyone looking for a great mic.
This is by far the clearest wireless mic that I have owned. I perform every weekend and literally wore out my last mic. This is my second time buying this one.
First of all, I want to compiment Musicians Friend. I order excusively from them because of excellent customer service. I needed this wireless quick! They overnighted it to me with and got it to me when they said they would. This wireless Micraphone works great! My bandmates are very honest about sound and they gave it two thumbs up! If you want great vocal quality that is basiclly plug and play, this is for you!
As a singing drummer I thought this might be a better solution than my over-the-top boom and gooseneck I've used for years which tends to pick up a lot of ambient drum sound... Unfortunately, early indications are that this is picking up as much and maybe more drums... But it's only been one show... We're experimenting with gates but there's a noticeable 'wash' of drums into the mix each time my voice triggers the gate...There IS a Mute button but it's on a three-click slider that's also the Power button (Off / Mute / On) so each time I'd try to mute it I'd turn it off...I'm leery of swinging the small book arm away from my mouth between songs not knowing exactly how durable it is...On the plus side there's less to move and it's very light (all plastic)...There ... MoreAs a singing drummer I thought this might be a better solution than my over-the-top boom and gooseneck I've used for years which tends to pick up a lot of ambient drum sound... I bought this not expecting much at the price range it was at, but the quality of the sound blew me away. I am a very active DJ and this head set holds firm and never moves no matter how much I dance and jump around. So far not even a hint of static or any other unwanted noises from this unit. Very solid.
I use this product in the gym with be everyday. I have a hard time keeping my phone from getting over used through out the school year from projecting my voices all day at school and then coaching at night. this has been a life saver in allowing me to talk at a low level all day long and still have my students hear me.
