This was purchased as part of a wedding gift. We received this item as a wedding gift 15 years ago and it has been one our favorite items - cute, interesting, and functional. Despite fairly frequent use (at least weekly but usually more), it has held up well and shows no signs of wear. It is now one of my favorite items to give newlyweds.

Following a disaster with a cheap corkscrew totally messing up my wine enjoyment, it was time to invest in something more robust and reliable. Anna fits the bill perfectly.I now have stress free wine opening. :-)
Lovely, smooth corkscrew. However, like other reviews, removing the cork can be fiddly. That is more than made up for by the design.
This is a great corkscrew!For those saying you have difficulty removing the cork from under the skirt. You have to pull Anna's 'arms' right up and turn the other way, the cork then unscrews.
I used to give this as a wedding gift. It seemed the like the kind of thing that was useful and charming and that one wouldn't buy for oneself due to the price. Secretly, I always wanted one for myself.Finally bought one and just love it. It's sturdy and works well, and makes me smile every time I see it.Only one tiny gripe: if you screw it into the cork as far as it goes, it is almost impossible to get cork off from under her skirt. Not a deal-breaker; just stop before getting to the limit.
Looks great, pulls the cork out beautifully, but then a slight problem....almost impossible to remove cork from underneath Anna's skirt ! Much frustration and laughter in equal measure. Redesign please !
Fridge magnets aren't what you think of when you think of Alessi. But they're in every kitchen. Anna is perfect. I'm taking her to the jeweler and I hope to wear it as a brooch or pendant. Brilliant.
