Looked forward to this revamped model, but didn't give it 5 stars. For a designermoka for Alessi i think at least there could have been a better makers mark. The 'Alessi' mark is a faint laser etch. Should have been bolder and much more visible. No 'Made in Italy' mark..so I assume it was made in a China factory.Expected a solid well made piece, and wasn't disappointed. Only gripe is the hinge fixing the lid is wobbly and looking at it it's a pretty thin pin. A lot of use will make the pin loosen eventually and there'sno room for a more solid bolt pin for more secure fitting. Overall a good piece, but Alessi could have gone that little extra with the detailing. My suggestion is make it in stainless steel with hardwood handle/tortoise shell bakerlite options would ... MoreLooked forward to this revamped model, but didn't give it 5 stars. At least Alessi should look at some other options. Just an idea Alessi.

So this is called "3 cups" coffee pot. But it wouldn't even measure 1 entire cup. Its obviously 3 *espresso mini cups (about an egg cups worth per cup FYI). CComplete waste of time. Going straight back tomorrow. Why call it 3 "cups" which is an official cooking measurement, provide ZERO scale pics and charge this price. Annoying is an understatement. The 90's called, Alessi is still taking the p.....

I've had this large pot for a couple of years and use it 5 days a week with fresh finely ground beans. It's easy to clean after each use and I've not needed to replace the seal yet. It's reliable and still makes lovely coffee. The 9 cup pot is the perfect size for one big mug full.

I inherited a stovetop coffee pot from my student house. It obviously hadn't been looked after. However, I didn't realise just how bad the coffee it made was until I bought this! First of all it's beautiful. The shine on the aluminium body is perfection and the general design is unfussy and a thing to behold. The coffee it makes is also a cut above the one it replaces. All on all very happy I went for this one, I'm even thinking I might get the bigger one for situations where I want to make a greater volume of coffee...
I bought this for my husband as a present, having had a number of different ones before. It is well designed and the perfect 1 cup size. The only issue is that it is slightly smaller than our hob, so has to sit inside the metal holder so I do worry about it being unsteady but no problems so far as it is nice and sturdy. I would definitely recommend for the price. Great design too.
Using this coffee pot is the quickest, easiest and most foolproof way to make great-tasting coffee every time. I don't think it works on all types of hob, so check, but I use it on a gas hob. The previous similar one I had used to leak when I poured the coffee out, and this one doesn't, so that's great. It's nice to handle, and easy to clean, too. It makes a good-sized mug of coffee with milk.
Really great squat pot design. Serves two comfortably, or one person twice! Got one after having coffee from a friend's more traditional style one, as I was really impressed with the flavour. Sits well on my gas hob, but best on a lowish flame. Fits together and seals beautifully. Easy to clean afterwards too.
Not much to say, it's a very well made and nicely design Moka maker. I have bought the 3 cup (Alessi DC06/3) version, which you can fill with 150 ml of water and get roughly 120 ml of coffee out of it. It's perfect for 2 people or 2 normal cups of coffee if you like to mix it with milk (e.g. 100ml milk + 60 ml coffee), or 1 big cup. I use this Moka maker with freshly ground coffee from the coffee sampler MOKA ground which I bought here. All of those coffees are great :)It's the perfect way to start the day, highly recommended!
This is such a wonderful little coffee pot, sweet design and makes coffee quickly and to a great quality. Welcome change from the headache of La Pulcina pot where the lid joints broke quickly and was unable to repair it or get a replacement from the Alessi. Am contemplating getting a six-cup as well now, so pleased with this purchase.
This is a work of art from the design to its function.A piece of kitchen furniture with practical uses on making one , two or three cups of finely percolated ground coffee at one sitting. The choice of material is excellent as it's clean metal finish is disguised by the fluted and curved corners and edges which make the bottom boiler assembly unique and the whole unit nice to have .
