**Fantastic New Runners!**I recently purchased the men's tree runner, and they have exceeded my expectations! The comfort level is outstanding, with excellent cushioning that makes every step feel light and supported. The design is sleek and stylish, perfect for both workouts and casual wear. I also appreciate the breathable material, which keeps my feet cool even during intense runs. Highly recommend these runners for anyone looking to upgrade their footwear!

Despite being an often repeated shoe style which can be found at all sorts of price ranges, many of which cheaper than these, the Allbirds do feel better built, with more attention paid to the finishing touches. Some of the alternative materials theyāre using sound interesting and while I do think thatās worth something price wise, I do struggle a bit with the value proposition of this shoe at full price, as itās getting up there into specialized trail running territory while being a pretty casual, non technical shoe. When on sale I think these are at least a compelling option.A few more physical observations: if you have a lot of upper foot āvolumeā these will likely feel a bit too snug with the stock insole. Without the insole it fits much comfier, and sockless with the insole is borderline, which is a shame as I quite like the material and feel of the stock insole. And as a reminder, these have essentially no to very little tread so they will be slippery. Length wise for my size it was spot on. No issues there.

Only been wearing the shoes for a few days now. I walk an average of about 12-14km a day. They are comfortable, but I find that you have to be very careful to tie the laces exactly at the right tightness to achieve comfort, which is something Iāve never experienced in a runner before. If you tie to loose the shoe design is really floppy, but tie slightly to tight (which is very easy to do) and the laces dig into your foot in a weird way. Iām getting better about tying the laces correctly the first time but I still often have to adjust them about 3 times in the first 1.5kms of walking before I get the fit correct, which is annoying. Once you get lace tightness dialled in they are comfy though. The look good, but walking on uneven terrain in them is a bit of a ...Ā MoreOnly been wearing the shoes for a few days now. The sides provide zero support when your foot is at a able and you slide off the sole of the shoe.All-in-all Iām happy with the shoes because they work ok, they are reasonable eco friendly, and they look nice. I will probably buy another pair if these ones last decently well. However, I was hoping these shoes would be versatile enough to serve most of my use cases and they arenāt. I usually try to own just one pair of shoes at a time that can handle most of my needs (walking, light hiking, some running, travel) and you will need to own multiple shoes if you invest in these which definitely hurts the eco aspect. You canāt put these on in the morning without carefully considering what you might end up doing that day, which is really the most important thing I want in foot wear.... lol, while writing this review I changed my initial 4 to a 3.

I had plenty of friends rave about Allbirds for a while and when it finally came time to get āgo with everythingā black on black combo I decided to give these a go.Initially they felt a little strange, I feel this was because they were so light and low. It was an obviously different experience to previous shoes and there was a period of acclimatisation, but after a week theyāve become absolute go-tos.I donāt think Iād stretch it to actually running in them (as their name suggests) given my crystal knees, as the cushioning isnāt what youād get in a full out running shoe but for everyday comfort the insole is surprisingly comfortable and Iāve not had issues with any pressure points.I normally wear 12US so thatās what I got, they felt a little on the small side at ...Ā MoreI had plenty of friends rave about Allbirds for a while and when it finally came time to get āgo with everythingā black on black combo I decided to give these a go.Initially they felt a little strange, I feel this was because they were so light and low. I have several pairs of Allbirds, in various styles. The tree runners are super comfy and hold up to normal use pretty well. What stops me giving it 5 stars is this: the soles are very soft, perhaps necessary for the comfort factor. However they do wear fast, with the tread pattern starting to smooth off within months (and I donāt wear any single pair of shoes day after day).If they could be repaired Iād not be bothered. They donāt seem to be repairable by your average shoe repair shop; replacing the soles for instance. This is a black mark for sustainability. Iām sure Allbirds would be horrified to be lumped in with āfast fashionā given their sustainability mission. But longevity and repairability are part of the sustainability equation.Great shoes though!
It's breathable, flexible and super comfy. It's more for walking on flat-land areas e.g. train station walkways of Tokyo/cobble streets of Melbourne. The all black colour makes it potentially wearable with semi-casual clothing too which is great. The overall design is very stylish. Allbirds is a great Kiwi icon- the shoes are just as good/if not better than those [famous] brands out there! The value offered was tremendous. The advice/helpfulness from assistant at Britomart shop was great. Strongly recommended!
These shoes are incredibly comfortable - lightweight, flexible, stretchy, and breathable - for unparalleled all-day wear. I wore them on a vacation within a day or two of purchasing them and logged 3-4 miles of city walking per day. In addition to comfort, these Tree Runners look great with shorts, jeans, chinos, etc. The appearance is a serious, refined upgrade from standard running shoe fare. Lastly, Iām stunned at how great these shows are to both the wearer and the environment. The environmentally friendly and sustainable content and manufacturing were major draws for me, and for that, I did not have to compromise in appearance, wearability, or price. Serious kudos to All Birds for successfully checking EVERY box - look great, feel great, and all without paying ...Ā MoreThese shoes are incredibly comfortable - lightweight, flexible, stretchy, and breathable - for unparalleled all-day wear. I typically prefer to buy sneakers from popular sports brands, but I could not find a pair of black sneakers with a simple design suitable for everyday wear. Recently, I came across Allbirds sneakers and learned that they are known to be the world's most comfortable shoes. Intrigued, I decided to give them a try. I'm happy to report that I am thrilled with the sneakers after receiving and trying them on. They are lightweight and feel amazing on my feet! I have to admit, they are even more comfortable than I had expected.
I have hyper hydrosis so my feet are pretty much always hot when wearing shoes. The tree runners are likely the best at keeping my feet cool, of the shoes I've tried. The biggest problem is the traction on the bottom of the shoe. Minimal when brand new, and it wears out extremely quickly. If there is any kind of rain or moisture involved the shoes become dangerous.Sustainable materials is a good idea, but they need to last longer than 3 months. My other pair has the same problem. The top portion held up much better than the sole. That has basically worn completely flat. Rendering them useless for the most part.
So I must say these seem well made, it is early yet, but they look like they will hold up for a bit. The comfort level is very good, nice cushion in the footbed without a doubt, but don't lace them too tight or you will start getting that pain across the top of your foot (like most shoes mind you). Plenty of room in the toes as well. I was disappointed in only two areas in this shoe. 1 - slipping them on and off is not as easy as I hoped. my toes easily get caught in the straps holding the Tonge to the sole. just seems a bit more than was needed. and 2 - there is NO (and I mean ZERO) lateral support. your foot will roll very easily if you are walking across an angled slope. for that reason I don't see them as great walkers, but closer to a lounge around casual shoe.
