I purchased my Men's Wool Runners in all black (top & sole) to serve as a dressy yet comfortable shoe. They fit this purpose perfectly. I SO wanted to love these shoes-- they're natural wool, sustainable, and they look cute! But the reality is that Allbirds do not fit my foot. I don't know if it's because they are styled for a neutral gender foot, rather than for men's and women's feet differently, but these (and the other Allbirds I bought...and returned) kept my feminine foot pressed up against the medial side of the shoe. Very odd-- I never had a shoe do that before. The length and width were fine; it was just the shape of the shoe. Tried adjusting the insole to see if that helped, but it didn't. So this shoe went back with the others. Sigh.

I already owned a pair of Allbirds Wool Loungers and Tree Dasher Relays before buying these Wool Runners, and love both of those, so I went in with high expectations. At first these Runners were a bit tight on my feet and especially dug in around the ankle, but the material broke in after a couple wearings and now these are super comfortable for walking long distances and offer much more support than the Loungers. I would recommend these shoes for walking all day on paved sidewalks, but not for running, despite the name. Love the colour, great looking shoe for summer. I’d bought some Wool Runner Mizzles & loved the fit & non-slip sole, but find this version a bit less comfortable. I get a bump on the top of my shoe where my big toes are pressing, something that doesn’t happen with the cut of the Mizzles. The sole also feels a bit thinner so not quite as comfortable. Still nice though, but prefer the Mizzles.
Was so excited to gift these to my husband! Sadly, the shoe was just too narrow for his usually average-width feet :( While it's a great looking shoe, appeared to be well made, the width made this a no-go. Was disappointed to find that alternate sizing was not offered. The laces were also Very short. His feet are definitely not wide or large, so I don't believe this was a factor in the lace size, but I could be wrong. I don't want to '1-Star' the review because it really is a nice shoe made sustainably. Just doesn't seem to be made for All. Maybe more tailored toward a trim, athletic foot? Hopefully in the future, more sizes will be available with longer laces. We will be waiting!

I’ve been wearing them for the past two years and love them, but after walking for several hours, they hurt my left big toe enough that at the end of the day I often wear them ‘off the heel’ to relieve the pressure. The customer service rep on the phone was not able to give me exact specs on all the sizes, and they don’t make 12 womens unfortunately, so I decided to order a men’s size 10 this time. I found them a tiny big bigger (but pretty much same width) as the 11 women’s. I purchased Tree Runners about two years ago and they were excellent, still are. The fit is perfect (13), they are very comfortable, and being washable is a plus.The Wool Runners I recently ordered were very loose (length and width); in other words the fit was "sloppy". I immediately returned them. 12.5 may have fit but that size is not available from your company.I find this to be the case with other shoe manufacturers. Sizing and fit for a given model changes from year to year.I'll try again from time to time, but ordering/returning isn't convenient.

AllBirds Wool Runners also keep your feet warm if it's cold out and cool if it's hot out.Additionally, Wool Runners are perhaps best without any socks at all! Because they are made of soft wool, you can slip them on your foot, tie them up, and get going without any rubbing or chafing. I never wore socks with my AllBirds during my trip and felt so comfortable. For travel, no socks means less to pack and less dirty laundry along the way which is a double win.All in all, purchasing my AllBirds Wool Runner's was one of the best preparatory decisions I made for my trip. I also know I will continue to wear my AllBirds around town in my normal life at home and will be purchasing more colors and styles in the future. I returned online for a smaller size and they still were not the correct size for my feet. I drove 90min. To my closest allbirds store (Wrentham, ma) . Had problems exchanging shoes, it finally was allowed in the store register, but was told final sale, can not exhange any further even if they don't fit. I exchanged for the only pair, model and color they had in store that i could exchange for and I still ended up with shoes that don't fit. I have nice, expensive, wonderful shoes sitting in the closet that I can't wear. The sizes are inaccurate and vary per particular pair of shoes. To me this was clearly a damaged pair that I'm unsure how it passed quality control. I sent these back and got another pair, which was in much better shape, though there were still some small gaps between the sole and fabric that had clearly been glued kind of shoddily. A friend has a pair of Allbirds that do not show any signs of gaps around the sole / fabric line, nor any sign of gluing, though his are grey, so, I'm not sure if this is a flaw with the Tuke Jam line or if I just ran into a bad batch. Other than those issues, the shoes themselves are great. They are very comfortable, versatile, and the Tuke Jam color is awesome, bold enough to get some attention, but not so overwhelming that they look gaudy. I've worn them while doing some light hiking and they do get a bit dusty / dirty, though they're easy enough to clean. They also do not have great traction / grip, so they do slip a bit on smooth surfaces. These personally aren't deal breakers for me, just things to be aware of. If you order a pair, I suggest going a size larger, and inspecting the shoes closely looking for quality defects. Allbirds was great about the returns (very easy process), which I deeply appreciate, so no ill will there, just wish they had slightly better quality standards for this line.
