Allen Deluxe 2 Child Trailer Red

my 3 year old, 40 lbs, 39 inches, barely fit. he could not sit up straight and definitely not with a helmet on. the seat is a narrow piece of fabric, we had to put a pillow underneath so the seatbelt did not cut into his stomach and hang him. he is large for his age, but definitely within the size limit. also, the angle of the attachment bar caused friction which repeatedly tightened the nut and made the spring rotate a full turn before realizing to stop it, even with the proper washer. the velcro constantly pulls the edges over. overall, very disappointed. there is no way two toddlers would fit.

Buyer BEWARE!!!

Opened this new out of box. The tire says to inflate to 36 PSI and I made it to about 20psi and then the tube and tire bulged out of frame. Contacted the manufacturer and Customer service was so bad. Worst experience ever. They wouldn’t send any replacement. I even offered to buy a wheel myself and they said they couldn’t sell me wheel. I spoke to a customer service rep and a manager. They both said sorry you’re out of luck and there is nothing we can do. You’d have to buy a whole trailer.Why would I buy a new one when the one just opened didn’t work.This a terribly sad experience as things couldn’t be resolved even with customer offering to buy a wheel. I don’t typically leave reviews but this was so bad I felt compelled.

Disappointed

Wish we had it last year when our granddaughter was 1. We’ve tried a few times and she can’t get comfortable with the helmet on, the netting pushes against her head and there’s no space for her legs to be in a seated position so she wants out! Used it one time with her 2 yr old cousin and it was too tight. We really enjoy biking so this is a big disappointment…too bad it’s really neat looking!!! Probably would have given it 4 or 5 stars if we started using it when she was a 1 yr old.

Do not buy Allen products. Poor quality

Sadly Allen Sports has gone way down in quality and customer service. I hate to say this as a previous Allen fan, but do not buy any products from this company. Stick to the more reputable companies who understand quality and customer service.Brand new, unopened T2 trailer tire bulged out when I inflated it to the proper pressure. Tried rotating the tire but it would still bulge out at a different place. I thought it was the tire so I bought another identical one. Same thing. Great Value!

Easy to put together and take down to transport; simple as unhooking cotter pins. Sturdy. Rolls smooth and our 19 month granddaughter loves it. Easy Velcro and zipper access to child area and storage behind seat. Only reason not to give 5 stars is seating area could be more padded in my opinion. Also, wish the sides had an option for netting in addition to the weatherproof plastic. Not deal breakers by any means. Really a great valuecompared to cost of the more expensive brands such as Burley.

Great product so far

We’ve only had it for a few weeks, but we like it so far. It was fairly easy to set up despite having little instruction. My only issue is that there’s not a lot of leg room; my almost 2 year old has to keep them bent while he’s in it. But we’ve enjoyed it a few times and like it

Long lasting, secure fun for the kiddo.

Best buy I've made for outdoor recreation in quite awhile. My 2 year-old loves seeing cars go by up close and it gets me on the bike basically daily. Easy setup, and GREAT customer service from Allen. I got the 2-child one as he's in that 98% percentile of just being huge. I bought it about 1 year ago and have very minimal issues. Structurally sound after heavy use last summer, and then during these crazy times daily for the last couple months, I have no worries about his safety. Bonus points for the all-season clear cover that gives me confidence in these masked times, bubbling him up in a stroller. My issues so far is that the flag housing tore where you put the flag in, but I just haven't gotten around to sewing it up. Customer service via Allen (allen.bike) sells more trailer hitches at a very reasonable price ($12, comparable to Amazon without the measuring and finger crossing, I had to return 2 Amazon purchases as this hitch seems to be decently unique). My only worry these days with it is my kid is kicking the velcro bottom out and attempting to drop things out of it during rides, but I'll figure something out there for this personal issue.Overall, just a great purchase over 1 year ago, it's lasted amazingly well and I plan to use it even more frequently. I'm only just now writing a review since I reached out to their customer service (on a Saturday, frequent responses within 30 minutes) for another part, and they're sending it out tomorrow.

Perfect trailer for 2

We have loved this bike trailer! It was super easy to assemble and I love that the top of the trailer easy breaks down for storage so it doesn’t take up so much space. I was surprised by how much storage there was in the back of the trailer. You can easily fit 2 kids along with their needed stuff - because we all know kids have lots of stuff they need. The cup holders inside the trailer are perfect for sippy cups along an addition pouch with made for convenient snack bag storage. The flag comes apart in 3 sections and again makes for easy storage. We have to hide ours since our kids loved playing with the flag. The screen window and plastic covering are both great options for keeping the kids dry and clean. Would highly recommend this trailer. it works.....with modification

this is a great trailer HOWEVER, it was too small for my 3 year old as the seat was too far to the front of the trailer and her little legs were "smooshed" to the front. Couldnt take it back as it was already out of the box and put together. SO i modified it. there was plenty of room behind the seat for storage. we did not need the storage. I cut the straps holding the seat in. I moved it back into the storage area and put in a stadium seat we had and voila! perfect cart. She loves being "tooled around" in her princess cart! It will NOT hold a 100 lb child. my 3 year old is 35 pounds. we will get use out of it this summer...but thats it! Safety guidelines recommend no modifications. But this works just fine. love it with a few twicks needed

i really like it easy to assemble. maybe took me 5mins! i got the red one, and it fits my tall 4yo pretty well. and a small stuff animal with a little arm room. or 2 small children size if you have 2 kids. so hope itll last for 2 or 3 yearsonly things i dont like is there isnt a solid base for the seat. it bows down when he sits and he slides down onto strap whoch look uncomfortabl,. So i just got a thick flat board and put it under the fabric seat part. made it wayyy better. actually looks like a seat now, with the legs going down instead of his legs on his chest.2nd wish the side windows came up too or had the mesh part like the front.over all definitely recommend but be sure you read details etc for the right size.. but shoot! 98$ with tax is so worth it.
