Alpecin Caffeine Shampoo C1 250 ml

I've tried out many hair loss shampoos, lotions, pills, treatments etc over the last 10 years and seen varying results. Alpecin is one of the better ones but could be even better with a slight tweak to the formula...more about that in a second. Firstly I use by washing my hair once with any shampoo to hand (loreal, garnier etc) - just to get rid of hair gel and sebum build up etc and let Alpecin work better. Then I apply Alpecin and leave it on for 2-3 minutes every morning when in the shower, and wash out. In only a few weeks I feel like my hair is falling much less than before. The one issue I have with it is that it dries out my scalp a lot, causing mild dandruff. I asked around in online forums after coming across other people experiencing same and the consensus is its probably due to the Sodium lauryl Sulfate (SLS) detergent in here. Who knows? I use Divine Herbal's Hair Oil on my scalp at night to counteract any dryness/dandruff and it seems to be re-growing hair on my crown area too. Without SLS this would be a 5-star review. Hope they reformulate this as most companies are phasing that ingredient out nowadays. Other than that its a good product and excellent value for money. Less

Please consider that a shampoo alone is not the answer to regrowing hair; to optimize results the mind and body have to be in sync. Besides shampoo, I quite eating fried foods (95%), I reduced my alcohol consumption, increased my athletic activities, quit processed sugar products, established a sensible diet, and try to live a calmer life, reduce stress, control my emotions, and stopped struggling with things I cannot control -- basically establishing a mind / body platform that contributes to success. Using this I have seen a distinct improvement in the quantity of hair,so distinct I can turn my head upside down and see where the old growth,before treatment,ends and the new growth,after treatment,begins. I can see straight through the old growth but have to move the new to see past it. It does not claim to make dead follicles produce hair again,but it stopped a significant amount of my hair loss. I have used it for over a year now but it works as it always has,so no build up of tolerance to stop it.
