As for hair growth I would say it does help quite a bit as it stimulates the scalp and you can feel it working as soon as you rub it in. It has a mild cooling toothpaste-on-the-skin feel. I would strongly advise to condition the roots afterwards as the hair will have a very strong grip and will be tough to comb ! It's great to use after washing out those greasy hair masks and oil treatments and it doesn't affect coloured hair either. This is the only shampoo I use and I love it ! This product is aimed at men but after losing my hair quite drastically after having a baby, I gave it a go through sheer desperation. I noticed my hair had grown twice as fast as normal and I saw the results within 1 month of using it every other day. It does say on the back that it holds no moisture so you do need to use a good conditioner, but only use a small amount because overloading your hair with a heavy conditioner isn't very good. Great! I have bought it over and over again and it is good value for money. I even left it in for a couple of hours because I desperately needed my hair to grow back and it was even more fuller and thicker.

Having used the Alpecin shampoo for about 6 months for my hair loss condition, I must say, I had zero results from this, even tho I did feel tingly sensation which people talk about that is supposed to mean that its "working". Anyway - I started using the Taoist Handmade soap about a month ago, and that has helped at least stop the hair from falling, which is what I wanted as a last resort. I am not sure if boots sell them but its pretty good. Its important to massage your scalp everyday whatever you do... so remember that.

I have been using this for roughly a year on and off. I can definitely say it has an effect on your hair quality. By this i mean after using it your hair will feel much thicker and have more grip to it. Please note that i am saying it FEELS much thicker, and not that it is actually thickening hair. Like many have said before you can definitely feel a tingling on your scalp when on head which must be a good sign? I cannot comment on its actual effect on hair loss as it may well be slowing it down but i would not know that unless i stopped using it, but for me at least it has not "grown back" hair. What i will say is that it is a good product to conceal thin hair and give it more volume and leave a very nice fragrance afterwards.
I have used this product for many years and found to be a great shampoo. It smells great lathers brilliantly and leaves my hair soft and manageable. I can't say it restores hair but it certainly reduces hair loss to a great degree. I use this product at least very other day and also use it on my beard and moustache, it helps to keeps them soft too. Pro's: a great product that works well. Con's: none as far as I have found.
With not having a visit to the hairdresser since late December , lockdown didn't do me any favours. All the highlights had grown out or fell out , my hair looked abysmal. I knew my hair was getting thinner but I could bluff it with a decent cut. Anyway, I'd seen this shampoo on the beauty shelves in the Supermarket so ordered it in my ' click and collect ' weekly shop. I was my hair in the shower ,so applied it washed me then rinsed after a few minutes . I dry it naturally then style it after. Wow ! it feels thicker and looks very passable. I have been using Alpecin for a couple of years and really didn't notice a different. I kept using it cos my wife bought her hair products and this was mine. I hadn't seen my twin brother for over 10 years and decided to go visit him. When I saw him he had lost so much hair I was gob-smacked! It was until I saw him that Alpecin really works. Even he said "did you get a hair transplant!" I had so much hair that if I didn't use the Alpecin shampoo I would have been as bald as him. Once I told him he immediately went and bought some and has been using it since. He knows it going to work cos I look AWESOME!
I have alway had fine thin hair but just recently I have noticed it was particularly thin and flat. I read all reviews and decided to purchase the shampoo and liquid. I immediately put the liquid on my hair and then waited until the following day to use the shampoo. After gently drying I noticed my hair is a lot fuller. Not so flat looking. It feels like all of my hair strands have expanded. It doesn't feel sticky and doesn't leave any residue either. So far so good!!!
After using a whole bottle, my dandruff has actually gotten worse. This product doesn't work for dandruff and I have lost a lot of hairs, so please don't buy the bundle as it's a waste of money.
Great result: severe dandruff, scalp itchiness and scabs disappeared after 3 weeks daily application. Using now Caffeine Shampoo C1 Black Edition and Caffeine Liquid for maintenance and hair growth.
