You will not find better pegs for cost, design and strength in either Australia or internationally.The pull cords are super helpful to remove from hard ground. They can take a beating from a rock, hammer or timber section when you bang them into solid, frozen or hard ground. I was thoroughly impressed and after also purchasing a number of different items from Alton including the tarp, hammock, bug net, extra pegs (to replace my tent pegs) as well as the write in rain notepad. After recieving all of these items, there is no doubt that the company produces quality gear and made for the AUS environment.

I originally purchased the Alton Goods tarp which included a set of these pegs. They were fantastic. I found myself needing to camp pretty much on rock. I needed to bash the pegs in. Any other peg that I had previously used would have bent and been unusable. The Alton Goods ultralight pegs held up. Yes, there is some minor damage but that was to be expected.I was so impressed, I had to buy another set to keep in my hiking bag to use in addition to my Tarp set.

Bought these to replace the dinky round-bar pegs that came standard with a tent. They do exactly what it says on the tin - they're light, they're easy to bash into a range of ground types, they held firm in winds that were bending the tent poles, and they were easy to slide out again.The little notches on the side are nice - it was easy to drop the fly corners and guy ropes over the cut outs and tension - not a single slip off over several nights of camping in variable weather.Definitely recommend as an upgrade or replacement for your pegs.
I have now purchased a bunch of Alton products and love every single one of them. I bought the ultralight tarp, the groundsheet, some extra pegs to play with different configurations of my tarp set up and just recently I purchased the -10 sleeping bag. I can confirm that Alton stuff is THE GOODS!
Used these for the first time at the weekend. A huge upgrade in holding power over the DAC V-shaped pegs supplied with my Big Agnes tent. The benefit of having multiple line slot things will also come in handy when the peg won't go all the way in. Great value for money!
